39 weeks anyone else struggling?

Hi ladies :-)

39+2 today and wondering if anyone else is nearing the end and perhaps we can have a moan together haha.

I have in general enjoyed this pregnancy but my god I am fed up now. I’m huge, living off gavisgon, have the worst rib pain, my face is so puffy and my nose seems to be growing by the day, nothing fits me anymore, I can’t sleep and if one more person asks me on the school run ‘have you n out had this baby yet’ I’m going to explode haha!!

Everyday I’m thinking is today the day!! But then the other half of me is sh*%#ing it for birth after a nightmare with my daughter last time (induced, forceps, episiotomy, you get the picture)

Anyway think I just fancied a good moan haha xx

@Leah2016 i hope something happens in the next few days, all this waiting on a date and nothing 🙈

I woke up in the night with pretty strong pains but nothing since 🙈
Slightly worried if braxton hicks were that strong haha

@Stargazer87 I’ve heard quite a few people say they felt sick or were sick before labour started so fingers crossed for you!!

@phe694 yep I’m so fed up now constantly on edge thing will it be today! Also the longer I wait the more nervous I get 🙈

Well I hauled my fat arse out this afternoon to holland and Barrett for some clary sage oil so I’ve kicked husband and daughter out for a ‘bike ride’ and run myself a bath with it, also put some in the oil burner! Anyone else tried it? X

@Leah2016 we've walked to the pub, it's about half a mile from our house, OH isn't to impressed that he can't drink much incase something happens, especially with the rugby being on 🤣

Any joy ladies?? I’ve been for a big walk this afternoon. Not holding out any hope though! Had really bad braxton hicks last night which put the fear of god into me for labour I actually wanted them to stop and it not to be labour 🙈 having one of those anxious ‘don’t want to give birth’ kinda days haha xx

literally no signs whatsoever 😩😩 so ready to meet her now 🥺

I've been having 'braxtons' since 8am. Every 15 mins or so. Varying in how uncomfortable/painful they are. Havent stopped despite having a shower and changing activities... but no closer together either! So frustrating 😫

Nothing for me, I've had short periods of Braxton Hicks the past 2 nights but not much else. So bored now...

Has anyone got a sweep booked for this week? I have one Tuesday 😬

@Leah2016 i have one booked for friday, kind of wish it was sooner if i've had nothing by then. midwife tried to do one friday just gone but failed as my cervix were behind her head 🙃

I'm booked for a c section Friday if he isn't here by then 😬

I'm being told sweeps aren't being done in my area due to covid restrictions? Not sure why?? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve been having pains now since half 8 started 12 mins apart now 6/7 mins apart lasting a minute each time. Can’t sleep as they quite literally take my breath away, just got in a hot bath and took a couple paracetamol and will see what happens!! X

@Stargazer87 baby Max born this morning on his due date at 4.07am 15 minutes after getting to the hospital! Both doing well and
Hoping to be home in a couple of hours. Feel like I’ve been hit by a truck but so happy and in love and can’t wait to introduce him to big sis! Xx

@Leah2016 Ahhhh congratulations, that's amazing! Sounds like things progressed quite quickly! I'm due tomorrow...really hoping for some signs things might be happening soon! Xx

@Stargazer87 I have been offered a sweep at my next appt which is tomorrow (40w+1) & I'm tier 3 so don't know why you were told that :(
@Leah2016 wow congratulations !

I've been up all night with what I thought were contractions but they stopped at 6am but now seem to be coming back ?! Also think I may have just lost my mucus plug 🙈 but I just can't be sure

@lucyFTM I know, it's very strange, I'll be in tier 2, even when we were tier 1 they were saying no sweeps?!

I'm 40+2 and go to bed every night hoping something will happen and wake up every morning feeling disappointed. I've had the breast pump on for an hour at a time, clary sage baths/diffusers, long walks, bounced on my ball and not even a niggle of a BH let alone anything real.

@Leah2016 ah congrats! That happened super fast!

So my braxtons fizzled out overnight, but now I think I'm losing my plug in little bits so hopefully something is happening in there! Midwife later for me. Hope you're all hanging in there!

Thanks ladies! What a crazy 24 hours and still can’t believe he arrived on his due date! Maybe the clary sage, hot baths, curry, and long walks did pay off...or maybe he was just ready ha! Fingers crossed you all meet your babies this coming week! I feel absolutely shattered but so in love and even though it was bloody painful I did it! After all the anxiety about birth Xx

Today's the day! I'm having my baby boy! Elective c section and they've said I'm first on the list 😬
