Hi ladies :-)

39+2 today and wondering if anyone else is nearing the end and perhaps we can have a moan together haha.

I have in general enjoyed this pregnancy but my god I am fed up now. I’m huge, living off gavisgon, have the worst rib pain, my face is so puffy and my nose seems to be growing by the day, nothing fits me anymore, I can’t sleep and if one more person asks me on the school run ‘have you n out had this baby yet’ I’m going to explode haha!!

Everyday I’m thinking is today the day!! But then the other half of me is sh*%#ing it for birth after a nightmare with my daughter last time (induced, forceps, episiotomy, you get the picture)

Anyway think I just fancied a good moan haha xx

@Paris2019 completely agree with everything you said!

I'm 39+4 & fully expect to go over my due date but everyone asking why she isn't here yet is doing my head in & making me more anxious!
Literally nothing to do & will be in tier 3 after this lockdown finishes :(
Keep crying randomly for no reason at all

Stargazer87 · 27/11/2020 16:53

@lucyFTM Completely get the crying randomly for no reason! Lockdown really isn't helping, I'm so bored, I've got nothing to do and all there is for me to do is overthink!

In terms of the tiers, what's everyone doing about letting family meet your baby when they eventually arrive?! I'm in tier 2 which is still no indoor mixing...😩

lc86 · 27/11/2020 17:44

@Stargazer87 I'm in wales so we are waiting to hear about tiers. There's no way I can stop my parents meeting him, my sisters have said they understand if we want them to wait but I just can't imagine them missing out on meeting their newborn nephew! I've asked them all to isolate as much as they can from now until he's here x

Hatepickinganame · 27/11/2020 17:53

@Stargazer87 tier 3 here, despite our local authority having lower rates than London, they've chucked us in with the whole county 😔 my hospital is in a different county, and still tier 2 so hoping it won't affect visiting... as for visitors, my mum said I should get garden chairs and a heater so they can meet her outside. I was furious and ignored that one! I hope she was joking. Anyway, I plan to let people meet her as long as they have no signs of illness whatsoever. Its all ridiculous if you ask me anyway, no matter what tier you're in you can still do the Xmas 5 day break thing anyway!

Stargazer87 · 27/11/2020 17:58

@Hatepickinganame I've been surprised the amount of people who have genuinely said to me about meeting outside...it's like people are forgetting it will be December! 🙈

I feel like we have to be a bit flexible with the rules, I'd feel awful not letting Grandparents meet her but might draw the line there...my husband has a very large family!

Leah2016 · 27/11/2020 18:13

@Stargazer87 we are tier 3 despite being lower R rate than London! So frustrating it’s hard to get into the Christmas spirit with things like this! Feel sorry for my daughter who’s not been able to do any of the usual activities we do this time of year! The hospital I’m at are also really strict and only allow your 1 birth partner in once your 4cm and they have to leave 2 hours after birth! So I’m praying to avoid induction and have a straightforward birth!😓 as for visitors I know it’s against the rules but I will be allowing grandparents to visit. I can’t imagine it will be possible to keep my MIL away anyway and my mum is watching daughter when I go into labour anyway so will inevitably see her when we get home x

Yeah I have the bigger family, but I can't see them all wanting to come, one sibling is in the super.high risk category, one lives 2 hours away. I think parents will be a definite and ill see how I feel from there. A friend of mine is my childcare, would be amusing if she was the only one that got to meet the baby... my mum would throw a fit!

Stargazer87 · 27/11/2020 18:17

@Leah2016 My hospital is the same and being super strict on birth partners, sounds like the same rules as yours. I'm so scared of being induced or having complications and needing to stay in afterwards and being on my own. I also think it's really hard on the Dads potentially missing out on their babies first days....😢

Hatepickinganame · 27/11/2020 18:33

I haven't dared check for changes, but 2 weeks ago my hospital policy was one birth partner on delivery suite at any time, including induction and again one visitor on ante/post natal ward from 8.30 til 8.30. Incredibly lucky I think and desperately hoping its the same! I'll find out Tuesday when I go for my scan 🤞🤞🤞

lc86 · 27/11/2020 19:03

Aw that's amazing for visiting. My partner has to leave once baby is born, well after an hour anyway, and then isn't allowed back until we are being discharged 😥 hopefully won't be in too long 🤞🏼

Stargazer87 · 27/11/2020 19:16

@lc86 I've got the same rules, my hospital are actually calling it a click and collect service where your partner collects you from the door...🙄

Hatepickinganame · 27/11/2020 19:17

Ah ill keep everything crossed you guys have easy labours and go home quick! I'm still hoping for that to be fair, as much as I'm grateful my oh is allowed to visit I want to get home to the other 4 kids too ❤

lc86 · 27/11/2020 19:54

I hate that my girls won't be allowed to come and visit him as soon as he's born, feels like they're missing out on all those first moments x

Hatepickinganame · 27/11/2020 20:27

@lc86 exactly, and our youngest two are so excited. Cant wait to see their faces when she finally arrives!

phe694 · 27/11/2020 21:08

hey girls, hope you don't mind me joining, i'm also very fed up 😅 little girl is due today, no signs of labour but she's head down, had a failed sweep today as my cervix is behind her head. pregnancy has been a dream, but definitely want her out now everything is so uncomfortable 😅

lc86 · 27/11/2020 21:32

@phe694 aww hopefully she realises her time is up tonight 🙊

phe694 · 27/11/2020 21:35

i hope so 🙈 shes my first so not feeling very hopeful😂🙈 i lost my mucus plug on tuesday 🤢 and been having period pains since so just a matter of time 🤞🏽

Leah2016 · 27/11/2020 21:45

@phe694 welcome to the party haha! If you’ve lost your plug fingers crossed it won’t be long for you now!! 😊🤞🏻

Having loads of pain and pressure tonight but not getting my hopes up.

@Leah2016 i had no idea they even existed 😳

lc86 · 27/11/2020 21:51

It's so hard not to get your hopes up every night, not long ladies and our little babes will be here! Every morning I wake up gutted though not to be in labour 😒 before we know it we will be wishing they were back inside for a night for a bit of peace 🤣

lc86 · 27/11/2020 21:52

@phe694 on my first two my waters broke but I don't ever remember losing my mucus plug, wouldn't know what I was looking for 🤦🏼‍♀️

phe694 · 27/11/2020 21:54

@Leah2016 i barely slept last night, kept waking up in the hope i was in labour, haha very true! i've started to avoid leaving the house now incase my waters go in public 🤣

Leah2016 · 28/11/2020 06:12

@lc86 your so right 😂 with my first I wished the whole pregnancy away and then when she arrived I remember thinking Jesus next time I won’t be as desperate to have her because those sleepless nights killed me 🙈 but here I am again doing exactly the same!

@phe694 every time I wake up for a wee (which is a lot) I keep thinking ohhh will
My waters break (they never do😂) and yes I keep avoiding driving anywhere to far!

Wonder if today will be the day for any of us! Excited to see who will be first! Any time now ladies xx

Stargazer87 · 28/11/2020 06:55

I've woken up feeling so sick...it's like morning sickness all over again! Not sure if it means anything...🤢

Hatepickinganame · 28/11/2020 07:59

@Stargazer87 I keep having 1st trimester symptoms, feeling super sick and have a gross metallic taste in my mouth all the time! Think we must go through another hormone surge!

I don't think it'll be this weekend for me, based on today's kicks j don't think shes in a good position to actually put pressure on my cervix and start labour! Walking helps that right?
