To know or not to know?

20 week scan today, I’m in two minds whether to find out the gender. Either way I am happy as it’s our second baby. We did find out with our first. DH really wants to know so we can ‘prepare’.
Pros and cons?
(I know it’s a decision for us ultimately but no harm in asking opinions - thanks all)

@chopc what did you have for your third in the end? Did you get your little girl?

@mumandcub I did. And couldn't enjoy her at first as even both our mothers went wild and I was feeling so sad thinking "what if I had another boy!" 🤷🏽‍♀️🙈

Yes sorry...we pulled into the hospital car park still undecided so we flipped a coin. Heads for don’t find out, tails for do find out. Agreed we would do it best of 3. The first time was heads and second time was heads so we agreed that was a sign from someone telling us not to find out this time.
We will have a lovely little surprise in March/April time and at least I will have experience of both sides with knowing and not knowing now!

I think you've done the right thing.
We didn't find out with ds and it was a wonderful moment when they said it was a boy.
I had my 20wk scan this week and we decided to find out this time. We are expecting a girl. Completely over the moon. But it would have been very special to wait and have that surprise at the end. I sort of wish we had now!
