Hi, I'm 19 weeks, would be lovely to hear from anyone at a similar time. I have no bump or experienced any movements, I was really hoping by now I would at least have a belly, this has been an anxious pregnancy with 5 previous miscarriages and through this pregnancy 3 large bleeds. I thought I had some movement this weekend but it ended up being the iron tablets I'm on blocking me up 💨 :-/
I'm keeping everything crossed things start to change over the next couple of weeks.
Is anyone else similar?

I was exactly the same, just had an anterior placenta and strong abs! I suddenly developed a massive bump at about 21-22 weeks (obviously the abs gave way Grin), and started feeling movement from about 24 weeks.

Changechangychange · 10/11/2020 10:09

I forgot to say, DS is 4 now. No issues at all.

Chelsdean · 10/11/2020 10:19

Same here - no movements and no bump at 19 weeks. Discovered at 20 week scan that my placenta is anterior so it can take a little longer to feel movement.

Within a couple of days of the scan I started to feel movement and now at 22 weeks I feel it quite regularly (sometimes I can feel it from the outside if I put my hand on my stomach too) :)

Bump is still small now compared to others that I see on Instagram etc but we are all different and baby was measuring normal at the scan so I’m not worried.

Hang in there - hopefully you will start to feel some movements in the next week or two!

Harrimara · 10/11/2020 10:42

Hi @Changechangychange Thats reassuring to hear, I'm hoping I have some good abs too which will go back to normal after 😃 I keep telling myself everyone is different and not compare but its so hard!

@Chelsdean Thanks for your message, your not that far ahead of me so really reassuring to hear. It's just so hard not to compare, I have to stop myself reading to many what to expect websites because I didn't even get any early symptoms so always felt something was wrong.
I got told early on I had a low placenta but hoping thats moved to a better position now.
I have my 20wk scan next week so fingers crossed and I can finally treat myself to some maternity clothes.

It's very normal. I was feeling movement by 20 weeks with my first but at the 20 week scan the sonographer was surprised I'd felt anything at all because of where my placenta was.

I wasn't visibly pregnant by 20 weeks with either pregnancy.

Gr1ff · 10/11/2020 11:54

I was exactly the same! I didn't feel any movements until 21/22 weeks, didn't really have a noticeable bump until about 26 weeks and have no symptoms my whole pregnancy. I'm now 35 weeks and just counting myself as very lucky.

I also had miscarriages before this pregnancy so completely understand the anxiety of not feeling anything x

Turtleturtle81 · 10/11/2020 11:59

I didn’t feel movement until about 23/24 weeks. It was around the same time my bump became more visible.

Lib3rtine · 10/11/2020 12:32

I've got an anterior placenta and didn't feel movement until about 20/21 weeks and it was only little flutters. I had no bump whatsoever at 19 weeks. I'm 30 weeks tomorrow and still only got a small bump, you still can't tell I'm pregnant much but had a growth scan and baby fine x

Harrimara · 10/11/2020 15:54

@Lackadaisically@Gr1ff@Turtleturtle81@Lib3rtine
Hi Ladies, thank you for your reassuring messages, I feel like now I can relax and not feel anxious about my next scan next week. I'll keep telling myself this is normal.
Hopefully I will start showing over the next couple of weeks and can start enjoying the experience of having a bump and feeling the baby which I feel will settle my anxiety going forward.

xx

Thanks for posting @harrimara I'm also 19 weeks and it's such a worrying time, especially after previous losses. Good to hear some reassuring stories.

If it helps I also have no bump, I just look a bit bloated. The exact same level of bloated I've looked since about 8 weeks... Everyone just assumes I've eaten too many biscuits in lockdown (they're not wrong in fairness!) I actually still fit into my normal jeans but am wearing maternity leggings because I couldn't stand anything pushing on my tummy during the endless weeks of nausea. These are so much comfier - people should buy them for after big dinners!

The nurse who did my whooping cough vaccine last week used to be a midwife and told me it's completely normal not to feel any movements at this stage. I think that managed to reassure me for about a day or so... I was honestly a sane person before getting PG!

Good luck for your scan next week!

blodyn91 · 10/11/2020 16:59

@Harrimara
Feels like I wrote this! Had a gender scan last monday and baby was measuring 17 weeks, so I know he is growing perfectly but I haven't gained any weight, still in same jeans and comffy, and this is my 18 week baby non existent bump! 😆
I don't think I'll show much till Christmas.
There are so many of us without bps 🙌 as much as im gutted because Id like one, I think we are also lucky, I can still balance on one leg to put my shoes on and can get on with everyday life 😆😆

19 weeks, no bump or movement yet
SunnySideUp2020 · 10/11/2020 17:06

@Harrimara I am 19w3 and haven't felt any movement but i have anterior placenta so not expecting anything until 21 22 weeks at least.
I do have a bump though and put on 6kg but i think staying home and baking a lot has something to do with it 🙄
I get the anxiety though. I have to give myself a pep talk multiple times a day not to start worrying.
Also suffered a loss in December so definitely doesn't help!
I also have mt 20w scan next week.
Hope we both get good news :)

Dannii1996 · 10/11/2020 17:10

I’m 23+2 with baby number 5 and I have only just started feeling movements and getting a bump this past week!! Xx

Harrimara · 11/11/2020 11:42

@Mimba1 I totally agree maternity leggings are the way forward for dinner pants, but then I will never stop eating 🙄
The only time I see a bump is if I lay on my back and just a small hard bump shows on my right side.

@blodyn91That photo is pretty much me, I find myself standing in the mirror checking for any changes every day. I'm sure in a few weeks time we will all be posting images of our huuugggee bellies and asking our partners to put on our shoes for us which I'm sure they will all hate 😂

@SunnySideUp2020 The anxiety is awful, I hope after the scan next week and fingers crossed everything is ok it will reassure me to keep calm for the rest of the pregnancy. Good luck with yours too😃

So we are all pretty close in weeks, I'm due the 7th April, what about you ladies?

xx

@Dannii1996 Were all your previous pregnancy's the same?

OP posts:
SunnySideUp2020 · 11/11/2020 12:33

3rd april

SunnySideUp2020 · 11/11/2020 12:33

@Harrimara do you know the sex?

Harrimara · 11/11/2020 13:09

@SunnySideUp2020 We are going to find out the sex at my 20wk scan next week 😬 😀 Before trying for kids I always thought I would leave it as a surprise but after this roller coaster ride of fertility problems I'm really excited to find out earlier!

OP posts:
Harrimara · 11/11/2020 13:10

@SunnySideUp2020 Did you find out?

OP posts:
SunnySideUp2020 · 11/11/2020 13:27

Omg so exciting!!! @Harrimara
We found out via NIPT at 12 weeks and had a 16w scan too.
We are having a girl.

Honestly finding out was the biggest moment of the pregnancy so far. We both felt so emotional. It becomes so real!!!
You will see at your scan 😊

Smiling89 · 11/11/2020 13:32

Not the fittest person so no abs, and I have an anterior placenta, but I didn't feel movements until 22 weeks and even then it was barely anything. Only from 28 weeks were they regular and distinguishable kicks etc.

Didn't get a real bump until about 31 weeks. Must have a roomy womb. I do have a long body and quite tall.

blodyn91 · 11/11/2020 13:38

@Harrimara Im due April 12th and having a boy 🥳💙 Nice to know yours looks like mine! Im getting fed up of people asking me if Im showing yet 😆😩 Do you do much exercise?

loutypips · 11/11/2020 13:51

One day I just woke up with a bump! It appeared overnight which meant that clothes that fitted one day didn't the next. It was around 20w. Just a couple of weeks later I was huge!!!

Harrimara · 11/11/2020 14:13

@SunnySideUp2020 Ahhh thats great huge congratulations on your little girl. I think finding out will definitely make it more real for us too!
