From first contraction / sign until you gave birth?

Think I’m in early labour. Bloody show and really strong almost unbearable contractions every 20-10 minutes. Wondering if baby will be born today?

Just to update now home feeding my beautiful baby boy 🥰💙 He was born 1st November 10.46am (first contraction was 3am 31st October).

My labour was an excruciating 32 hours of back to back labour 😣! My water birth went out the window and ended up with an epidural which still didn’t completely take away all of the pain and back pressure but he’s healthy, was born safely and I’m so in love 🥰

Good luck to anyone reading this for their labour. x

2nd - 1 hour 40 mins

1st baby was born 40+11 had to be induced and was a wonderful 48 hour labour - 14 and a half established labour

2nd baby was born 37 weeks , waters broke but things were going slowly so put me on the drip. Total 48 hours again, 6 hours established labour

3rd baby was born at 39 weeks. 36 hour labour, 10 hours established labour.

4th baby was born at 40+4. 32 hour labour. 12 hour established labour.

My body does really long labours. It's hard work but worth it all in the end.

Currently expecting baby number 5, due january, really hoping to have a shorter labour than what I typically have, which is 1 to 2 days. Its exhausting.

Congratulations

Your baby boy birthday is my wedding anniversary. Woohooooooo

From 1st contraction to birth was 16 hours.

6 hours of early labour
10 hours of active labour.

Every pain relief option available I had and nothing slowed it.

CaptainCallisto · 04/11/2020 07:18

Congratulations OP! Both of mine were back to back so I literally feel your pain!

Mine were 84 for DS1 and 37 for DS2 - I couldn't believe how quick DS2's felt Grin

GrandTheftWalrus · 04/11/2020 11:06
