How long did your labour take start to finish?

From first contraction / sign until you gave birth?

Think I’m in early labour. Bloody show and really strong almost unbearable contractions every 20-10 minutes. Wondering if baby will be born today?

Waters broke around 10pm, baby arrived the following morning at 7.

DC1 5hrs 20
DC2 2hrs 30
Dc3 1 hr 15

Hmm first contractions were back contractions and didn't realise it was labour just thought my back was sore. That was about 6am on the Tuesday. Slowly ramped up and we're pretty regular (all in my back) by 4pm Tuesday. 6am Wednesday waters broke - examined because of merconium was 1cm (and gutted at that lol). At 11am I was 3cm and in pain using gas and air. 12pm ( an hour later) I was 10cm and baby was born with forceps shortly after.

I was the talk of the ward going from 3cm to 10 in an hour!

I was induced but it was 24 hours from the first contraction.

DD- 5 days contractions started Friday afternoon, she was back to back and needed emergency forceps. Delivered weds morning.
DS- 5 hours. Got hooked up to a drip at 7.30ish, lovely easy birth, delivered at 00.05 (waters did go the day before by themselves though)

My first labour 15 1/2 hours second 5 hours 20!! My second was way worse!

1st 7 hours
2nd 5 hours
3rd 1 hour. Good luck hope all goes well.

Dd1 - 8 hours
Dd2 - 5 and a half hours

My sisters third child was 55 mins from first contraction to baby born

34 hours first baby. Not induced but was put on the drip during for not progressing. So many quick labours on this thread!

40 hours. Had contractions every 10 mins for 12 hours then bloody show. Went to hospital and it stayed the same for another 6 hours. They broke my waters to speed things up. They didn't speed up so needed syntocin and then a forceps delivery.

If I could do it again, I probably would have stayed at home for a bit longer to see if it progressed without intervention. Once I agreed to my waters being broken I started down the path of monitoring and intervention.

7 hours from my contractions starting, 10 hours if you go from my waters breaking!

I think today is the day xx

11 hours and 7 hours in active labour but I knew the night before with dd2 because I recognised the subtle signs. Wasn't actually in pain for more than an hour with each though so had no idea with dd1 that I was so far along (8cm) on arrival at the hospital. Everyone is different

1st - 27 hours
2nd - 4.5hours

60 hours

DC1 - 27 hours
DC2 - 3.5 hours
DC3 - 3.5 hours

49 hours of hell . I thought early labour would be the easy part but I found it the hardest . Contractions were more painful than I expected , no real pain relief , no sleep , couldn’t eat much and the end was soooooo far away I wanted it give up ( but couldn’t obviously 😭)

Funny enough , by the time I was in established labour I felt so excited to be progressing that I relaxed and found labour so much easier and decided against an epidural .

Baby 1 16 hours ( emergency C section)
Baby 2 10 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

40 hours with my 1st 😣 full on from the get go!
Pregnant again but having a c section this time
