Can't believe I did this - took DS swimming this morning and after 5 minutes in the pool noticed I still had my bra on under my swimming costume

still cringing now...

OP posts:

lol orangehead, my dh put the cordless phone in his pocket (before we even had ds) and went clubbing. the funniest bit is that the bouncers were searching people on entry and found the phone. they found it very amusing.

I went to work in odd shoes when I was pregnant (I reckon it was cos I couldn't see my feet).

The trouble is, one was a high party shoe and the other was flat and clumpy so I felt all uneven. They weren't in the remotest bit similar.

I only noticed when I got to work.

Oh, how we laughed.........

themoon66 · 15/10/2007 10:38

Like the OP, I have been swimming and left my bra on under my costume .

I lost the iron once too and DH found it in the fridge.

Naetha · 15/10/2007 11:36

I pulled away from traffic lights in reverse gear the other day.

The look on the woman's face behind me was priceless.

OMGhelp · 15/10/2007 13:26

Why is that things end up in the Fridge?

Tigaaaarghna · 15/10/2007 13:28

Set fire to DH's sunglasses by lighting a scented candle about 3 inches below where they were hanging.

Lazarou · 15/10/2007 13:46

Reached across the table at work (in a lab) forgetting about the bunsen burner and wondering why my arm felt a bit hot

wheelsonthebus · 15/10/2007 13:47

ask what time the one o'clock club opens

tweetyfish · 15/10/2007 13:58

I went to park in a car park containing only one car. Somehow managed to reverse into it - at speed as the car park was practically empty so I felt confident(!)

Then spent half an hour in tears even though it was all ok in the end...

Nearly turned up one week early for a job interview - luckly I re-read the invitiation letter quickly the night before going.

Upsidedowncake · 19/10/2007 14:49

Stop. Stop. crying with laughter. Have tears rolling down cheeks.

SofiaAmes · 19/10/2007 14:59

I turned up for a architecture job interview without my portfolio. (Kind of like showing up for swimming without your bathing suit). It wasn't that I had forgotten it....it hadn't even crossed my pregnancy brain to bring it.

TheStepfordChav · 19/10/2007 15:04

Was pg with dtws. Realised that I'd left umbrella on bus coming to work, so in lunch hour walked to bus station - got very sweaty & puffed out - and ran gauntlet of bus driver's very smelly, smoky & noisy staffroom & endured comments from bus drivers (very large bump) to try to track down driver & umbrella, without success. Went back to work (raining again) and into fridge for sandwiches. Umbrella in fridge.

chunkypudding · 19/10/2007 17:19

got lost on the way to my pilates class (which I had walked to the previous 4 times with no problems.)

Phoned friend at work, told them street I was on, asked them where that meant I was and how to get to where I was supposed to be...

had absolutely no idea where I was or which way I should be pointing

At aqua-natal classes the midwives told us off for not wearing a bra under our costumes. Growing breasts need the support, apparently.

shergar · 19/10/2007 22:58

There was an article about this in one of the papers yesterday, and the man writing it said that his pregnant wife had to go away on business and left her car in the long stay carpark, came home, forgot all about it, and took a taxi home. He had to get the taxi to take him back to the airport to collect the car - he said the round trip cost £100 and the driver laughed hysterically all the way back to the airport!

gigglewitch · 19/10/2007 23:02

biggest embarrassment is that i am still doing stupid stuff without the excuse of being pg - having three DC has made the condition permanent.
last week, arrived at supermarket, parked in child space, got pram out of boot then remembered no children were with me.

sparklygothkat · 19/10/2007 23:15

DH forgot we had a baby the other day, got out the car after dropping the kids at school and he just walked straight to the front door, he normally get Callum out of his seat as the carseat is behind the passenger door. I was like

littleducks · 20/10/2007 09:22

i went to my mils, keep hearing a beeping and was getting annoyed only to realise it was coming from my handbag. I had taken the cordless house phone with me and it was beeping as the battery died.

i let everyone think it was dd who put it there, but really i have memory of what could have happened but fear as handbag was out of reach it must have been me.

StrawberryMartini · 20/10/2007 09:48

I wanted some soup. Got can out and bowl out. Proceeded to open bowl with tin-opener. Nearly got half-way round before I noticed what I was doing.

Bouncingturtleskulls · 20/10/2007 12:25

Had a slightly daffy moment at my last AN appointment. Was telling MW that I was feeling quite hot, especially hands and feet and she said "well you are carrying a hot water bottle". I looked at ther strangely and said "No, I don't". It took me about a minute to figure out whe was referring to the baby! Doh!

DonDons · 20/10/2007 15:45

Went shopping today for maternity clothes. Went in two shops and asked shop assistants where I could find maternity clothes. In first shop I had my hand on the maternity rail. In second shop woman I was talking to was stood underneath 20 foot sign that said 'maternity clothes'. Is blindness a symptom of being pregnant?

3Ddonut · 20/10/2007 15:55

wrote all my christmas cards to 'friend and ds's name!!!!

3Ddonut · 20/10/2007 16:04

gigglewitch, glad it's not me who's still doing these things after 3 dc!!!

OP: when I was a kid I got into the swimming pool with my knickers on the OUTSIDE of my cossie!!! we used to get cossie on before swim and put knicks over the top 'so we didn't forget them' my mother was half bashing on the window to tell me and half hiding pretending I wasn't hers!!!!
