Are you getting the flu jab?

Hi ladies,

Just trying to decide whether or not to opt for the flu jab. I will get the whooping cough but i’ve heard mixed opinions about the flu jab and nervous to get it whilst pregnant.

Opinions welcomed!

@ScarMatty where do you live? My older son was a summer baby and I had a flu vaccination when pregnant with him. Afaik the vaccination is mainly to protect the pregnant mother from infection as we don't cope as well with flu as when we're not pregnant. Obviously during flu season the household being vaccinated gives the added benefit of protecting a newborn too.

I had it with my first baby but it was in the first trimester

This time I am around 5 weeks now and both GP and midwife have advised to wait 'til 12 weeks
