Just had my midwife appointment and she was actually nice on the phone 🙈 feel bad for having a tantrum yesterday now.
Im O negative blood group, anybody else the same? I have to take anti Ds to prevent me making antibodies that will see baby as a foreign object.

Also hospital allows OH to 20 week scan but they will not reveal sex, have to book an extra scan for that, and OH not allowed. So now I am searching for private clinics and hopefully get one end of this week/ next week 🤞🤞

Also love the hospital bag chat. I have a Pinterest pin board that I save them all to.

Yes o rhesus negative here too- it’s an injection into your bum and totally fine - x

@Mustbemad82 the joys! I think OH is as well, so not worried really.
Also gender scan booked for Monday!! Gone from waiting another 4 weeks to 5 days 🙌🙌🙌 Attempting to keep it a secret!

I am O negative too! Was confused what that meant! Have my booking in appointment in person with midwife first thing tomorrow morning!

@Busybee143 she's 13 month, I'm fine picking her up but I've just started with back pain on my left side and when I get twinges I can't move so then it's really difficult and I'm worried it's going to get worse, to make matters worse my OH had a really bad back and has done since February and can't bend to pick her up, we are going to be a right pair xx

I'm 8 weeks today so I've also found it handy to read your updates so I have an idea of what's to come as it's my first time! Booking appt is next Friday, feels very far away

@SarahTTC2020 welcomeeeee 🎊🎊 when will your due date be roughly? Are you having any private scans or waiting till NHS 12 weeks?

@blodyn91 it's 8th June. Can't decide whether to have a private scan at 9 weeks before we tell our parents - did you or did you wait?

@SarahTTC2020 I waited till 12 weeks, not sure if anybody else did/ is??
I told my parents before that though.
I acctually felt ok waiting- as in no extra anxiety or stress. Im very lucky and this is my 1st pregnancy and 1st BFP so I think for those who have had MMC etc its harder to go so long. Also my OH was allowed in.
All depends on how you feel ☺️☺️
I have booked a private gender scan for next Monday for £45, hospital not doing them. But I've also felt this wait from 12 week till 20 week much harder for some reason.

@SarahTTC2020 I waited till 11 weeks after another private scan- only held out as I had two previous miscarriages so didn't want them to worry

First time round I told them as soon as the digital said pregnant so it is personal preference 😁

Anyone else have pregnancy+ it's showing from 18-19 weeks the baby grows a whopping 11cm more! is this a glitch or is the growth spurt massive !? Been throwing up like crazy this week I knew this symptomless pregnancy was too good to be true lol x

@SarahTTC2020 Ahh welcome and congratulations 🎉 I told my mum pretty much straight away as we're very close and I work for her so felt she should know for work purposes if nothing else! OH didn't want to wait until 12w to tell his parents but I (selfishly) didn't want to tell anyone other than my Mum until we knew everything was ok so we had a private scan at 9w which was actually so reassuring and well worth the money, especially as OH wasn't allowed to be at the 12w hospital scan it was nice to have that first look together. I told my dad just before we announced it at 12w after the scan coz I knew he wouldn't be able to keep it a secret 😂

@blodyn91 yeah I had a different midwife for each appt, think it's a team, don't even know the names of the people I've spoken to but I'm not too bothered to be honest. And yeah this will be the last scan unless they have any concerns about growth/ results from blood or urine 😬 good luck with the auction xx

@SarahTTC2020 yay come join us properly ❤️ I had early scans but if you feel good and OH can go to your 12week then also saves a few quid to wait. I told my parents at 16weeks so was already about 3 scans down by then but honestly I could've waited until 30weeks if they wouldn't have physically noticed 😂

@Mococo1 think they change from head to bum at 18weeks to head to heel so that's why it's such a big jump 👌🏾

@blodyn91 are you anywhere near Telford? They have a Life Through The Lens clinic there same as the one I went to - they were cheap and brilliant! Heard the heartbeat loud through their scanner, got sex at exactly 16 weeks and a freaky 4D pic. Got like 5 pics in total and was only £49

@blodyn91 ignore that, just seen you've booked one. Great news 💓

So ladies now a lot of us know if we're team 💙 or 💗 I was wondering if the swaying chats seemed to hold true. When people were talking about it on the conception thread it seemed if you DTD every day on and after ovulation you were likely to get a boy and if you only DTD prior to ovulation (I think it was 3-4 days before) you were likely to get a girl. Does this theory hold true to anyone or is it a load of rubbish? Just thought it would make for an interesting discussion haha x

@Cocoblue22 honestly I'm not sure if I DTD at the right time but I managed to catch luckily..I did however ovulate from my right ovary this time round and so that theory resonates with my baby boy 💙

I know someone swayed for a boy and got it- just can't remember who? Might have been on the June bus thread?

How do you know which side you ovulated from? It's down to the sperm though so I don't know how that would make a difference which side you ovulated from? X

@Cocoblue22 @Mustbemad82 It was written in my early pregnancy unit scan! Also something to do with the x/y sperm instinctively swimming to either side of the tube , could all be nonsense tho x

I felt myself ovulate from both sides. I always feel myself ovulate usually from the left but this time it was both sides and we dtd that day and it's two girls lol xx

Although the sex of the baby is down to DP I thought I'd get a boy as he already has a 10 year old dd xx

Yes I had a private scan and they could see the corpues luteum cyst on my left which shows which side I ovulated from

I know it’s sperm that count but it’s a harmless way of guessing
I’ve had two boys so pleased with a girl! Although I’d be happy with just a healthy baby
