@Bl0ndi3 Ooo nice bargains! Is the high chair a wipeable material (just coz it looks like fabric in the pic?!) will definitely check that out and the breast pump as I already have a bouncer that a work friend has never opened ๐Ÿฅณ

Bl0ndi3 · 24/10/2020 18:42

@Ltay2 yes wipe and spot clean the fabric bit.

They had some at the first aldi I went to (ewood) but none at the other which was a bigger one (whiteburk) so might wanna be quick and check your local x

So wonderful to hear you seem to be doing so well @Sausage1990. Please continue to pop in and keep us updated and of course, it goes without saying that we hope to see you here again soon with good news โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

FairyLights2 · 24/10/2020 18:56

@Sausage1990 so nice to hear from you again. Glad things are going well and your boss is being so understanding. Sending you an abundance of positive vibes and love all around ๐ŸŒˆโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’— โค๏ธโค๏ธ

mrsmummy1111 · 24/10/2020 18:58

Ahhh we have that high chair @Bl0ndi3 as the spare for my mums house. One word of warning, it isn't great for very young babies. It has straps obviously to secure baby in, but even at their tightest they aren't the most comfortable / secure. DS is 18 months so he doesn't use the straps, but when he was a lot younger we ended up using the giraffe sit me up chair at mums house because he used to get really upset and uncomfortable in it. You may want to get something cheap and temporary until baby is more secure in it, but of course every baby is different so yours may be absolutely fine! We got the giraffe sit me up cheap from fb marketplace for about ยฃ10! X

Bl0ndi3 · 24/10/2020 19:05

What do you mean by very young babies? What age was it not ideal with the straps? Or what age was DS okay in it with the straps? Xxx @mrsmummy1111 x

If we don't use it much at first or don't like it least I only paid ยฃ22 for it โค๏ธ

Cocoblue22 · 24/10/2020 19:11

@Sausage1990 glad to hear you're doing well and feeling a bit better. It will take time for you to heal emotionally and that's okay. I'm glad to hear you and DH have agreed to try again soon your rainbow baby is just around the corner. Definitely enjoy some time with DH and spend the next few months doing lots of nice things together while you heal x

@zippityzip glad to hear it was good news for your friend they must be so relieved x

@Bl0ndi3 I've had high chair issues too with DS not that particular one but others that the straps were uncomfortable or that he slid down in. We got a snax one which was expensive but that was really padded and supportive and reclined slightly too so useful for when he was little and just weaning but then when he got to the messy stage it was a nightmare to keep clean and the plastic fabric did stain easily then we got a cheap plastic one from Aldi (my mum has the same from IKEA) for like ยฃ10 and that's been better since he's been older as it's easier to keep clean. I intend to use both again for the two different stages x

Sorry I've been a bit quiet on here lately I've been incredibly busy! Looking forward to my 20 week scan later this week just hoping DH will still be able to come and they don't change the rules this week ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป hope everyone is good x

SmileyT · 24/10/2020 19:15

@Busybee143 oh I totally get you... I'm not 'friends' with most of the people I work with and didn't tell them until I was 16weeks. I only told the people I see daily and a week later I had a call with a girl at work I haven't seen all year and she was like 'congrats' ๐Ÿง so obviously rumour mill was already in full force and can imagine you get many more questions from kids x

@Catherinettc @Mrsi2020 glad you're both well, just thought I'd check in โค๏ธ waiting for that dating scan does drag but won't be long for you both and I'm sure you're both kept busy along the way xx

@Madz123 yay to a gender scan, wonder whether the girls will pull further ahead ๐Ÿ’– make sure you drop in and let us know x

@Ltay2 my OH is constantly talking to mine, sometimes to get a point across to me like 'hey baby don't you think mummy should be getting some sleep now rather than scrolling on her phone' ๐Ÿ˜‚

@Sausage1990 so good to hear from you, I'm glad that you are being kind to yourself and not pushing yourself at work. I really rushed back into ttc after MC and do think that it can be best for mental health to give yourself some proper time to grieve xxx

@Bl0ndi3 ahh look at you getting organised, can't believe that pump was ยฃ1.99 ๐Ÿคฏ I haven't bought anything yet, not even a cute little outfit for bubs, maybe I'll go on a spree on Black Friday ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ

Bl0ndi3 · 24/10/2020 19:17

@Cocoblue22 ah okay, my friend has the one I have and she's used it first time today but she didn't use the straps as she was told to avoid strapping them in anyway unless necessary incase you need to get them out quickly. She said it looks quite big too strap wise for her 5/6 month old but he was fine it in. I'll give it a shot and see how we get on, might look to buy some strap covers with cushioning in them to make them more comfortable and secure ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜ซ

LittleRa · 24/10/2020 19:22

Loving that some of your have started buying bits and pieces! Iโ€™ve had a little clothes spending spree Grin I had to go to Poundland which is on a local outlet shopping place that Iโ€™d never normally think to go to (needed Halloween stuff from pound shop!) and thereโ€™s a Next outlet there. Itโ€™s already cheaper since itโ€™s an outlet but there was also a sale, I got stuff for ยฃ1.50 each, ยฃ3.00 etc! I spent ยฃ42 and got loads, added up the tags and wouldโ€™ve been over ยฃ120 full price. I also got some matching bits for DD and baby in sizes 7 years and 3-6 months!!! I havenโ€™t seen many places to get matching stuff in that span of sizes. Got them both the same swimming costume- the type with top and trousers (see pic), canโ€™t wait to take them both to the beach in the summer ๐Ÿ˜

mrsmummy1111 · 24/10/2020 19:35

@Bl0ndi3 So we weaned at 6months and DS was already pretty steady sitting up by that point, but obviously still wobbly. And no way in hell he would've stayed sitting up in that seat at that age, we put him in and he literally slid straight down ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ it was comical but pretty irritating. I'd say by 9/10 months he was comfortable enough in it to eat a meal.

I will caveat that though by saying we did baby led weaning (more from necessity because DS has never once allowed me to spoon feed him, even to this day) which required him to be able to comfortably sit up and reach the tray. Spoon feeding actually probably would've been a lot easier because they don't need to be able to sit upright all the way, they can be more relaxed in the chair......hope that wasn't too confusing and I hope at least some of that made sense!

Bl0ndi3 · 24/10/2020 20:02

@mrsmummy1111 ah okay thanks honey.

Doubting my purchase a little bit now might have to look at a back up just in case if we don't get on okay with this one xxx

Ltay2 · 24/10/2020 20:08

@Bl0ndi3 Ooo I work right next to Ewood one I'll have a look at what they have๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ

Bl0ndi3 · 24/10/2020 20:11

@Ltay2 I went back earlier today and they still had two chairs and like 4 breast pumps so hopefully still got some for you! X

Mrsi2020 · 24/10/2020 21:34

Mrsi2020 · 24/10/2020 21:41
