@MrsEmilyB thatโ€™s brilliant, hopefully it all happens soon. Must be so worrying when your experience is so awful however try not think of the worst ! Massive hugs xxx

Cocoblue22 · 16/10/2020 20:50

Is the screening to do with age too? Does anyone know? I'm low risk but my numbers are a higher chance than some of yours x

@Dipsy77 I have an anterior placenta too and did last time too! I feel movement inside low down and at the sides but not at the front x

@Mustbemad82 beautiful scan pic ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿผ congratulations x

@MrsEmilyB your scan pic is beautiful too congratulations ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿผ x

@MrsEmilyB sorry to hear you've had a crappy day big hugs. Hopefully it's inflammation instead. I can understand you must be worried but try to stay calm and remember it's always better to get it checked out. We all have everything crossed for you ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป x

Cocoblue22 · 16/10/2020 20:58

Also I tried to find the fb page but couldn't see any with the picture @SmileyT posted x

mrsmummy1111 · 16/10/2020 22:07

Oh god @MrsEmilyB that's not what you wanted to hear. Hopefully they are just being super cautious and I'm sure everything will be fine. Either way, thank goodness you contacted them and that they're taking you seriously. Whatever happens you've done the right thing by checking it out. The body does WEIRD things in pregnancy so fingers crossed it's just another random pregnancy symptom. Keep us updated of course xx

Enjoy your weekend ladies!

Mustbemad82 · 17/10/2020 07:31

@MrsEmilyB keep calm and collected and keep us posted. Fingers crossed itโ€™s nothing too sinister. That two week pathway is there as a safety net not as a precursor to bad news . Keeping everything crossed for you x

Mustbemad82 · 17/10/2020 08:07

Ladies just another thing- I know Iโ€™m a bit weird but I was finally letting myself relax and think about mat leave etc

I remember when I had my others I was so young and felt really isolated as all my friends were clubbing and enjoying life and I was a little alienated from them

This time round my friends all have grown up children and Iโ€™m in effect, starting again do have started to think about how Iโ€™ll connect with other mums given that COVID the bastard has all but stopped meet ups locally!

Anyway I saw an as for an app called peanut and Iโ€™ve used it for a few days and itโ€™s been a lovely experience
Iโ€™ve begun talking to around 3/4 ladies in my local area who feel the same way and itโ€™s lovely to think that you can grow al little support network from that

Just thought Iโ€™d suggested in case anyone felt like me !

blodyn91 · 17/10/2020 09:34

@MrsEmilyB Im just glad you have a pro active GP, many would have just put it down to pregnancy, so getting it checked out now is worrying in the short term, but long term a lot better! ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿงก

@Mustbemad82 I have downloaded it, but not really on it yet. Might try again after Christmas, when everything is a bit more real and we are in the swing of buying stuff. Theres also a welsh speaking FB im on, but only stalking atm. They did a poll to ask where everyone was from, there was a couple from Liverpool and London but nobody close to me yet. Being isolated does worry me, so trying not to let it stress me yet.

@Cocoblue22 the FB we are in are this one ๐Ÿฅฐ

omg should I have cropped all our profile pics out? want me to get it removed? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ™ˆ

blodyn91 · 17/10/2020 09:36

also sorry for the terrible grammar there *is not are

MrsEmilyB · 17/10/2020 09:42

@Mustbemad82 - thank you ๐Ÿ’• I'm glad it's the 2 week pathway. I'm trying to be an optimist about it after my freak out yesterday. Bub and I will be fine โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป I've been using Peanut since I was about 5 weeks pregnant! We moved from South Wales to Cambridgeshire just before Christmas and my job sees me travelling here there and everywhere so making friends was hard. Then lockdown happened and I still know zero people locally. I met a lovely girl who literally lives down the road from me and is due exactly 2 weeks before! We haven't met up yet as she had a really rough first trimester but we are gonna go for a walk soon ๐Ÿ˜ I've been chatting to some other lovely ladies from nearby villages and towns too. It's a fab app - feels a bit like tinder for pregnant people though ๐Ÿคฃ

@blodyn91 thanks lovely ๐Ÿ’œ personally I don't mind my profile pic being there. We are likely gonna announce it on Facebook this weekend anyway xxx

SmileyT · 17/10/2020 10:40

@zippityzip okay good to know that I'm not weird leaking from my boobies this early, just a bit bizarre looking in the mirror and having white droplets off my nipples but I guess I'll get used to it ๐Ÿคฃ

@MrsEmilyB so glad they are seeing you so quickly and massive hugs from me... I'm happy they are being thorough and you will get some answers in the next couple weeks although I'm sure they will feel longer. Please keep reaching out in that time for support we are always here xx

@Cocoblue22 how are you doing? I didn't even know maternity knickers were a thing tbh, although my massive arse seems to be consuming my thongs now so maybe I should investigate ๐Ÿ™ˆ with screening maternal age at full gestation is used at 32 my risk was 1:700 I think if I was 22 it would be 1:1450 so definitely has an impact. Link for our fb group is go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=m.facebook.com/groups/333135004635106 Hope that works ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ I'm also in springtime ladies group which is a bigger one for people 16-22weeks now xx

@Mustbemad82 ooh I'll give peanut a go, I've signed up to antenatal classes, still hoping they'll be face to face but will be nice to meet other locally.

Covid wise - I know this probably sounds awful but I'm just over it now, I've made an executive decision just to ignore it as much as possible going forward. I'll wear my mask all day at work and sanitise my hands but apart from that I can't give anymore headspace to it. I just feel so sorry for the people that can't work right now and aren't getting enough support to feed their kids and pay their bills ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Catherinettc · 17/10/2020 11:27

@SmileyT im exactly like you regarding covid. Switch the channel etc when anything related comes on. I feel like we are watching a soap with the longest drawn out storyline ever and u get fed up and stop watching ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Nothing to report here. Boobs still solid and sore, belly huge and if u sit too long there is a chance I will eat you ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ but thats about it ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ xx

Cocoblue22 · 17/10/2020 13:07

Thanks @blodyn91 I've found it now and requested to join ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป x

Dipsy77 · 17/10/2020 13:35

So I cracked this morning and had a private gender scan. I was worried because I hadn't felt movement but it's because both my placentas are anterior. I'm having 2 girls, it was lovely because OH and DD could come in too so I will have 3 girls under 2 !!

LittleRa · 17/10/2020 13:37

Congratulations @Dipsy77 ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’— Ooh where did you go that DD was allowed to the scan as well? Iโ€™d love to take my 6yo but I thought Iโ€™d seen that children werenโ€™t allowed even at private ones, must research!

Cocoblue22 · 17/10/2020 13:40

@SmileyT yes they are really low at the front designed to sit under your bump or some are big to go over bump too. Thanks for the link I think I've joined now ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป x

@Dipsy77 awww congratulations on adding two more to team pink ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’— now the sides are even again! Do you think they are identical? X

@LittleRa kids aren't allowed into our local private one atm just one partner x

Dipsy77 · 17/10/2020 13:45

@LittleRa it was a local family run one in Huddersfield, one of the best private scans I've had and they didn't charge me extra for twins so it only cost ยฃ55. You could have 4 people from the same household

@Cocoblue22 very low chance they are identical so more likely not but I'm feeling so relieved about not feeling movement now, plus only have to wait 8 days till 20 week scan xx

zippityzip · 17/10/2020 17:41

You guys - I've gotta run because I've got family shit on tonight but I've had the best birthday present ever.

We caved in at the scan - and we are having our THIRD GIRL. ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“
I literally have a tribe of women. Good help DH when they are all pre menstral at the same time.

Ltay2 · 17/10/2020 18:13

@Cocoblue22 I haven't received your request to join the group ๐Ÿง hopefully I haven't deleted it or something by accident ๐Ÿ™ˆ send again??

@zippityzip Awww yayyy another for team pink ๐Ÿ’— what an amazing birthday present! And happy birthday! ๐Ÿฅณ

FairyLights2 · 17/10/2020 18:46

Thanks for all the lovely words about my situation guys! So sorry I haven't responded in a while. @Cocoblue22 I was told that the procedure they're following is in line with protocol, so not much I can do about it really. I've just spent time trying to stay calm & countdown until my maternity leave. I've decided to leave at 6 months now because everything seems so unpredictable with COVID.

@MrsEmilyB so sorry to hear that! Hopefully everything turns out fine. It's great they're checking it out and taking all necessary precautions. Praying you have a positive outcome โค๏ธ

@zippityzip what a great gift! I'm over the moon for you ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—

Ladies, I really pray that by March/April... these restrictions are lifted because I really don't want to give birth alone ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Dipsy77 · 17/10/2020 18:46

@zippityzip congratulations another girl ๐Ÿฅฐxx

mrsmummy1111 · 17/10/2020 19:35

Waheyyyyyyy @zippityzip I actually had such a feeling it would be another girl!

Who runs the world ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป

Are you going to tell your girls they've got a baby sister on the way?

@FairyLights2 - I know I'm absolutely bricking it too. I genuinely couldn't do it alone. My trust had actually started allowing partners to scans and the entire birth just after my 12w scan (so about a month ago now), before all the new restrictions. I'm PRAYING they don't go backwards. Is anyone considering a home birth by the way? My mum had my two younger sisters at home and she's trying to convince me but genuinely I don't think I'm brave enough. My very good friend and next door neighbour did it last year and they brought a birthing pool with them etc which sounds wonderful but I think I'm too mush of a pussy to go through with it....

Busybee143 · 17/10/2020 19:48

@zippityzip @Dipsy77 congratulations on the girls!!!! I honestly have a feeling ill be adding to the boys ๐Ÿ˜‚
Guys I've just turned 12 weeks any recommendations on vitamins without folic acid?

mrsmummy1111 · 17/10/2020 20:28
