Ooooh congrats on those joining team pinkkkkkkk!! ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—

Sorry I've been quieter than usual just plodding along with constant nausea so just feeling a little meh atm

blodyn91 · 17/10/2020 22:39

@zippityzip happy birthday ๐Ÿ’“ lovely birthday present!
@mrsmummy1111 If there are big restrictions then yes, want my partner there. Not sure if its allowed with first baby?
Im so over this Corona though, Wales having a lockdown next Friday. Luckily my parents are down Thursday night so thats ok, but just stupid now.

SmileyT · 18/10/2020 14:30

@Dipsy77 @zippityzip amazing news on the girlies, congratulations ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

@blodyn91 you can definitely have a homebirth with your first as with everything free healthcare related it's a postcode lottery and can sometimes come down to resourcing ๐Ÿ˜ฉ also I think they try and talk you out of it as about half of FTMs end up getting transferred to the hospital but that obviously leaves a lot that don't. I know some trusts completely took it off the table earlier this year due to safeguarding MWs but from what I've read most are offering it now xx

@mrsmummy1111 yay to getting some proper kicks in so lovely feeling little one thrashing around x

@Busybee143 I just stopped taking any vitamins after 13 weeks apart from vitamin D no idea if that is right though ๐Ÿค”

@Cocoblue22 ooh asked my friend about the maternity knickers thing and she suggested Next, so think I'll give them a go ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ

Mococo1 · 18/10/2020 17:07

@MrsEmilyB sorry to hear! try not to freak out (easier said than done!g and instead take it as your gp is being very wise just to double check everything is okay for your own safety- I'm sure all will be but better safe than sorry๐Ÿคž๐Ÿฝ

@mrsmummy1111 yay for the kicks!!

@zippityzip yayyyay congrats on the trio of girls so so soooo happy for you โค๏ธ

@Dipsy77 you too! Congratulations- So many girls ahh ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

@FairyLights2 I have considered it! but in all honesty I'm way too chicken about pain relief! I think mentally I would feel disappointed if I tried at home and couldn't handle it and I ended up in hosp with that being the case ๐Ÿ™Š as I've never given birth before I'm a bit nervous. Atm my trust isn't letting partners in until you are 4cm and admitted to labour and delivery so I'm hoping it stays that way (if not back to normal) and will try my best to stay home for as long as possible!

When should we ideally start feeling movements ladies? I'm 17weeks and think I can feel something but again it's really not obvious at all and I don't know if it's just wishful thinking ๐Ÿค” I have a front placenta so they did say It might be a while before i feel anything obvious z

mrsmummy1111 · 18/10/2020 17:13

With my first @Mococo1 I didn't feel kicks until 20 weeks and that's with a posterior placenta. My friend had a posterior with her first and is currently pregnant with baby 2 and has an anterior and she said she didn't feel anything for a long time and now only ever in the ribs or fanny ๐Ÿคฃ never felt kicks at the front as the placenta is essentially a big cushion blocking them.

I wouldn't be concerned, 17 weeks is very early to feel anything with your first, even more so with placenta at the front.

LittleRa · 18/10/2020 17:14

Hi ladies, Iโ€™ve caved and booked a private 3D scan ๐Ÿ™Š (after not having any private reassurance ones early on lol) for when Iโ€™ll be 24 weeks, as Iโ€™ve found an independent place that will allow my DD to come! So really Iโ€™m doing it for her, it will be such a fun and unique experience for her. I wouldnโ€™t have wanted her to come to actual 20 weeks scan with all the medical checks and measurements and potential for bad news. So thatโ€™s on 21st November. Fascinated to see a 3D scan as havenโ€™t had one before! Iโ€™ve then also had my extra growth scans through in the post- 15th December, 9th February and 9th March (bearing in mine due date is 8th March Iโ€™m hoping I wonโ€™t need that one!!).

Hope everyone is having a good weekend x

MrsEmilyB · 18/10/2020 17:15

blodyn91 · 18/10/2020 19:38

such a lovely reveal @MrsEmilyB

Anybody know what the MatB1 certificate is? I need to send the original into HR at work. Do I need to ask for it off someone?

Ltay2 · 18/10/2020 20:42

@MrsEmilyB Lovely announcement ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ’•

@blodyn91 MatB1 form is essentially a little piece of paper that has your due date etc on and work will use it to calculate maternity pay/leave. Your midwife will give it to you โ˜บ๏ธ

Cocoblue22 · 18/10/2020 22:08

@zippityzip congrats on finding out you're having a girl ๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŽ‰ that's more on team pink now! X

@Ltay2 it says it's pending? X

@MrsEmilyB aww cute reveal ๐Ÿ˜ x

@blodyn91 you get it off your midwife it's to authorise your maternity leave. I asked for mine and they said I'd get it at 25 week appointment but I seem to remember it being much earlier last time though I could be wrong x

Ltay2 · 18/10/2020 22:12

@Cocoblue22 Done now! ๐Ÿฅณ

blodyn91 · 18/10/2020 22:13

@Ltay2 @Cocoblue22 hmm work are asking for it asap, and no odea when Ill see my midwife as first appointment is week 16 on the phone. Ill just ask her then of I can get ot earlier. Thank you

Ltay2 · 18/10/2020 22:25

@blodyn91 They should understand if you don't have it yet! Legally you only have to give it in by 25 weeks latest, or 15 weeks prior to maternity leave if taking earlier than that so should be plenty early enough if you get it at your 16 week appointment!

zippityzip · 19/10/2020 06:08

@mrsmummy1111 They were the first ones we told - they were so excited. I'm so glad it's another girl she will just fit nicely into the family. I was so worried that a boy would be left out.
And awesome news on the kicks isn't it the most amazing feeling.

@Bl0ndi3 How is the nausea doing now?? I can finally brush my teeth in the morning without heaving ๐Ÿ˜‚

@Mococo1 I had an anterior placenta with my second baby and it was so annoying. I literally only felt kicks from 30 weeks onwards and that was only at the sides or deep down in my pelvis. Plus I knew what to look out for being my second one. Poke around the sides! Although having said that - when she did move I had lots of regular movements, when they are big enough there's no escaping it no matter where your placenta is.

@Dipsy77 Massive congrats!! You've just become very rich ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“

@MrsEmilyB That announcement is beautiful!!!

@LittleRa The 3D scans are amazing you literally see the features of their face moving in real time it's magical.

@blodyn91 I THINK the MatB1 is after 24 weeks - as that's when baby is viable should you give birth. They shouldn't be pressuring you for it - as technically you don't even need to tell work yet that you're even pregnant.

zippityzip · 19/10/2020 08:32

Here she is!

Summer '20 Grads Part IV
Bl0ndi3 · 19/10/2020 08:38

@zippityzip yes to progress for you haha for me it is smells (and having dogs who ๐Ÿ’ฉ a lot does not help me haha) I heave many a times on a walk with them. Never actually sick though, not yet.

I have these bathroom scent things in the downstairs loo that I normally LOVE the smell of (the blue febreeze one) and I cannot stomach it every time it wafts in when the DSS goes to the toilet ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคข - I have told OH to get rid when I'm not around and to throw it in the big bin outside I fear mine is getting worse before it gets better and potentially got it for another month or more as some girls have said theirs didn't go til 16 weeks and I'm only 8.

I just feel sea sick all the time and then some days it's really bad nausea all day and I can't stomach any food feel like I might throw up but again never do. It could be worse though so I'm just plodding through each day and trying not to complain too much as OH isn't very sympathetic anyway ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I also couldn't sleep last night because my head felt uncomfortable on my pillows lol so I've got all 4 from the spare bed next to my bed as i kept rotating them through the night until I found one that didn't offend me - ended up with maybe 4 hours sleep.

blodyn91 · 19/10/2020 08:48

Right the confusion with work is they sent the email to me and another lady thats pregnant in my team and she supposedly wants to start maternity this year (or they got this wrong as shes due in Feb). So the asap bit was more for her not me.

@Bl0ndi3 I do not miss those hangover days! I do the same with pillows ๐Ÿ˜† I feel like I can't sleep, then it hits 7am and I can finally sleep but need to get up for work. Not fair.
It says that tiredness is better in 2nd trimester but I think its worse for me ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ซ
Onto week 15 here and baby can start weeing now ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜†

SmileyT · 19/10/2020 10:23

@Mococo1 it's so hard for a FTM to know where you are but so many of friends have got sent home multiple times from hospital as they weren't in established labour so I'll definitely be hoping I can make it to 5cm at home - wishful thinking probably ๐Ÿ˜‚ I think I can feel movements now at 19weeks but they are not regular at all which is annoying as haven't felt any for a couple days and it's concerning๐Ÿ˜ฉ

@LittleRa at 24weeks the 3D will be so cute and you'll really be able to see the features, how exciting for DD ๐Ÿฅฐ our pic at 18weeks you can already start to see everything forming x

@MrsEmilyB ahh such a cute announcement, whenever I see one it makes me want to do one xx

@blodyn91 makes sense that the email wasn't for you as the NHS can't give you the MatB1 form before 20weeks ๐Ÿ˜‚ then you have until 25weeks to get it to your employer. Another postcode lottery my friend got told the same as @Cocoblue22 that it'd be provided at 25week appt but HR kept pushing her because it has to be in by 25weeks so she ended up getting it from the GP so she could submit in time, she is taking mat leave from 31 weeks so I guess there was a bit more urgency x

Hope everyone is having a fab Monday I'm heading home tonight and back to reality, can't believe by the time we go abroad next year we'll have a little one with us โค๏ธ

zippityzip · 19/10/2020 10:40

Also is anyone using the peanut app?? I've signed up but is it a bit like tinder?? Swipe to match with people ๐Ÿง

Mococo1 · 19/10/2020 10:45

@zippityzip I am! But not so sure how to use it

So weird I totally forgot in our flat building a couple upstairs are expecting a baby boy in December- she was The first on there Due to location I didn't know what I was doing and waved and then had to text her to let her know it was me ๐Ÿ˜‚ defo let the cat out of the bag there ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ซ I'm more following the posts but yes it does seem like tinder for mums lol x

Bl0ndi3 · 19/10/2020 10:48

@Mococo1 hahaha j did have a little panic thinking what if I accidentally out myself so changed my pic to a scan pic ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚

@zippityzip I think you wave at anybody you want to connect with - nobody has waved back at me yet and I feel rejected ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ @Ltay2 popped up on mine because were pretty close haha just waved because I couldn't not!

Bl0ndi3 · 19/10/2020 10:48

Oh also Helen Flanagan came up on mine so I waved at her hahahaha random!!

zippityzip · 19/10/2020 11:28

@Bl0ndi3 Oh I can't bloody stand Helen Flanagan!!

I've been waving at a few people - but yeah it's like dating for mums which I'm finding odd ๐Ÿ˜‚ no one has waved back yet so I'm also feeling rejected.

Maybe @mrsmummy1111 will pop up on mine!? I wouldn't have a clue though lol as I don't know what anyone looks like!!

mrsmummy1111 · 19/10/2020 11:48

Ok can someone explain to me how the peanut thing works? I only heard of it the other day when someone on here mentioned it. I'd be worried someone I knew in real life would see me on there as we aren't announcing anything. So just feels a bit awkward.

Anyway I don't need any new mates, I've got you lot now ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ you're stuck with me for the foreseeable. Sorry about that.

mrsmummy1111 · 19/10/2020 11:49
