@MrsEmilyB lovely pics
Glad all went well my lovely x

Mrsi2020 · 15/10/2020 17:58

Omg loving the scans, need to take a closer look!

My 12w scan date is 2/11/20 and Iโ€™m having another early scan next Saturday lol xx

Sophi123 · 15/10/2020 19:06

@Bl0ndi3 - yep my 12 week scan is 12 November - sooooo long away!

Was originally considering having a private one earlier, but right this second thinking I'll hold out - changes on a daily basis!

Still don't have (m)any symptoms at 9 weeks today. Bit of hunger, quite tired (but working too hard) and that's it really.

And I'm in London too so there go my weekend plans of a pub lunch with the family coming to visit!

SmileyT · 16/10/2020 00:45

@MrsEmilyB @Mustbemad82 yay to more successful scans I'm going to guess boy and a girl respectively ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’–

@mrsmummy1111 ahh hope you are feeling better about your LO and nursery, no personal experience but just sending you a big hug โค๏ธ

@blodyn91 I think anything under 1 in 150 is classed as low risk so based on that you are still really low risk although I know what you mean about comparing them to others xx

Ahh sorry to all you teachers for not feeling supported I totally get the frustration. I had to work in a public facing role from March up until now, customers have come in saying that they have tested positive for covid and you couldn't even do anything about it, they still have to be dealt with. I'm just trying to be grateful to still be getting paid at the moment I'm seeing so many people in jobs where if they can't be safe at work/ companies aren't making enough money/ can't reopen etc they just don't get paid and it's so tough ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

...and to my London Ladies/ all others in lockdown yes it's an absolute shitshow, wish I could stay on holiday forever without the stress of Covid.

Okay to all you mummas out there... is it possible that my boobs are leaking ๐Ÿ˜ฎ already? I'm only 18weeks but my bikini had some residue in it yesterday and I was laying in bed earlier and a patch appeared on the sheets. Is this insane and I'm just dribbling/ sweating or something and not noticing or is this normal?

OP posts:
zippityzip · 16/10/2020 06:07

@SmileyT Totally normal and a good sign that your milk will establish well if you want to breastfeed!!

zippityzip · 16/10/2020 06:07

@MrsEmilyB Your scan is beautiful!!! I'm guessing girl. Glad everything went well.

Busybee143 · 16/10/2020 07:02

Love love love all the scans.
Guys if I hear anything else about stricter lock downs (I mean in the news with them constantly changing their bloody mind) I'm going to crack up, im properly teetering on the edge.
I finish for half term today and it's been an incredibly stressful half term the last thing I want now after being exposed to germs everyday is to be locked up in my house for 2 weeks being miserable.
I've seen on sky news they want every half term to be a circuit breaker which is just insane depending on how far they go with it.
Im not about to work my arse off for 7 weeks then have every holiday taken off me. I'm so frustrated.

Our cases are rising at school but that's what they get for opening schools all at once, what did they expect? If they are that bothered they should put schools on a rota but they won't admit that education has a lot to answer for in terms of cases.
I know there's safeguarding issues and some schools are shit with home learning but I worked my arse off over lock down while caring for our child to ensure my students moved forward with the curriculum. I feel like I'm constantly being punished for trying to do my job.

Sorry for the rant girls, needed to get that off my chest. Hope all is well and sorry to people who have had their plans ruined.

LittleRa · 16/10/2020 07:31

@Busybee143 So jealous you finish today- we have another week until half term ๐Ÿ˜ซ Iโ€™m with you, weโ€™re already in tier 2 here (North East) but in terrified something will happen either in my class or my DDโ€™s class which will mean we have to isolate for 2 weeks over half term, will just be typical!! As weโ€™ve got some nice things planned like pumpkin picking and spooky trail at National Trust place etc.

Bl0ndi3 · 16/10/2020 11:46

My areas just been put into tier 3 ๐Ÿ˜–
But gyms can stay open we just can't mix with any other household except in public parks etc
It's not that bad tbh I don't really see much difference from 2-3.

It doesn't say you must not travel outside area either as we have an overnight stay booked for half term and will still be going until ok told it's illegal and we will get fined for doing so etc ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘€

zippityzip · 16/10/2020 12:02

@Busybee143 Hell no I hear you - your job has been a thankless fucking task the last six months and the government decisions seem to have allowed you to be open to criticism beyond belief.
I've mentioned the parent WhatsApp groups before (mass hysteria) and when my kids school reopened some parents were enraged they had to walk a further 30 seconds to a different playground to pick their kid up. The slagging off at all decision making was vile. Personal attacks on staff who genuinely have done nothing but follow the guidelines and educate my children exceptionally well over the last 5 years.
I actually bit back a few times (I'm in safeguarding and I've seen the 76 page documents the poor head teachers have had to write, including down to counting door handles) and these pampered fucking parents do not have a clue. Want to moan? Want to critique their planning? Register your kids as home educated and fuck off.

But yeah I really hope that you get the break you deserve.

zippityzip · 16/10/2020 12:06

We've had a couple of positive cases in the school and they've sent year groups home. Waiting on a test result for someone in my daughters class.

Again the hysteria begins. Parents actually moaning like this was never a possibility - you know, during a pandemic... almost like the teachers have done it on purpose.

I'm just concerned with things taking a turn for the worse again that I'll be giving birth alone ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ or that I'll catch it the week I'm due to give birth. That is just my luck.

Other than that I really have fuck all to moan about. My WFH job is secure and DH is still employed. No one I know is seriously unwell or has died. I'm very lucky.

blodyn91 · 16/10/2020 12:38

I think if it flares up again, Ill proper self isolate before my due date. @Bl0ndi3 where are you going? hopefully not wales as they have closed the borders to anyone from tier 3. So far we are just tier 1 and can still see my family, not that I have any plans to go there for another month so ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž it doesn't get much worse ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

oh god I will not be able to give birth alone, was that a thing back in April? I think id rather just give birth at home.
I also hoped we could go to some antneatal stuff. Going to be lost if I don't have them or my mum or my sister close by (must not worry yet ๐Ÿ˜ฌ)
Maybe we escape to Wales and just stay at one of my parents cottages (but the hospital there is crap) ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Busybee143 · 16/10/2020 13:08

@LittleRa hope your week goes fast!!!!
@zippityzip oh the amount of times I've wanted to tell parents to fuck off an home educate and not just because of corona ๐Ÿ˜‚

Ltay2 · 16/10/2020 14:56

Tier 3 here now too ๐Ÿ™„ doesn't make much difference to me and my boring life but tier 2 didn't last long did it ๐Ÿคฃ

MrsEmilyB · 16/10/2020 18:09

Ladies I've had a really bad day and I need a massive group hug ๐Ÿ˜ญ went to the GP about my red boob and he doesn't think it's an infection. He said it looks potentially suspicious so he's doing a 2 week referral to the breast clinic to rule out inflammatory breast cancer ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ my mum died of breast cancer and I am SO WORRIED.

Catherinettc · 16/10/2020 18:15

@MrsEmilyB I know this is easier said than done but try not to worry. Im sure its just precaution. We are all here for you โคโค my mum died from a brain aneurysm and every time I get a headache I'm convinced that's whats wrong so I completely understand. It could very well be bad mastitis, I've had it and its not nice at all. Fingers crossed all is OK for u xxxx

zippityzip · 16/10/2020 18:23

@MrsEmilyB We are here for you!!! Absolutely doing the right thing and the GP is probably thinking better be safe than sorry. You got this, I'm sure everything will be absolutely fine xxxxx big hugs

LittleRa · 16/10/2020 18:38

@MrsEmilyB Flowers ๐Ÿ’• Weโ€™re here for you lovely. Itโ€™s good youโ€™re getting referred to rule it out x

Busybee143 · 16/10/2020 18:57

@MrsEmilyB sending a massive hug your way, try not to worry xxx

Bl0ndi3 · 16/10/2020 19:15

@blodyn91 no not wales - Watford :) but tbh we can get a refund or they'll change the date so we might be safe and do that instead

Cocoblue22 · 16/10/2020 19:15

I'm officially a week behind and lost the thread so I'm catching up! ๐Ÿ‘€

Congrats to all the wonderful scans that have happened in the last week! ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿผ

@Mococo1 congrats on joining team blue ๐Ÿ’™ wow lots of boys so far! X

@SmileyT I have my 20 week scan soon on 28th oct I mustn't of said before to update the list. I can feel my boy wriggling loads too now and I am officially mahoosive and getting all sorts of comments already about how long do I have left! X

@LittleRa thanks for the info I had my flu jab last week so can check that off at my hospital though I believe they give them to you at your 20 week scan as it's difficult to get it at gp or boots etc now as there's a national shortage ๐Ÿ™„ x

Up to Monday evening posting so I don't lose it....I will catch up ladies I'm just the straggler at the back..... x

Ltay2 · 16/10/2020 19:24

@MrsEmilyB I know how worried you will be and easier said that done to say not to worry! Although it's good that they are referring you so quickly to get it ruled out โค๏ธ

Mrsi2020 · 16/10/2020 19:50

@MrsEmilyB oh god what a worrying time for you. Please donโ€™t panic, when are you going to be seen do you think? Xx

Cocoblue22 · 16/10/2020 20:26

Has anyone bought any good maternity knickers? I can't seem to find any! And my normal knickers go more up to belly button level and now roll down under my bump and feel very odd!! X

I'm scared about having a c sec but after my birth last time I can't have another one like that as mine was the 'horror story' one and all medical advice is that it would happen again and probably even worse so I'm listening and going with the elective c sec and hoping for a much calmer birth and a smoother recovery this time ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป x

@MrsEmilyB im like you bump wise or was when I was 12 weeks I'm 19 now and look massive. I too have a shore abdomen and not toned core plus my placenta is at the front. Don't worrry about it bumps come in all shapes and sizes and they are all normal and beautiful x

@LittleRa congratulations on being the first in team pink ๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŽ‰ beautiful scan photo x

@SmileyT totally jealous of your holiday right now! X

@zippityzip we think we've picked a name we narrowed it down to 3 that DH liked and I think I've decided which one but we're keeping it a secret until he's born ๐Ÿ’™ x

@FairyLights2 have you heard any advice back from your union? X

Upto weds! Posting so I don't lose! X

MrsEmilyB · 16/10/2020 20:43

@Catherinettc @zippityzip @LittleRa @Busybee143 @Ltay2 @Mrsi2020 thank you all so much for your reassuring words. With an urgent referral the goal is to have me seen and scanned within 2 weeks so hopefully we'll have an answer soon. I'm massively hoping it's just inflammation from my boobs getting even more ginormous so quickly but me still squeezing into old bras.

@Cocoblue22 ahh at my scan she said she thinks my placenta is at the front too โค๏ธโค๏ธ dya have a bump pic?? ๐Ÿ’• In terms of maternity knickers I've only tried the H&M ones but they're cheap and super comfy.
