Gender scan, is this right?

I had my gender scan privately at 16 weeks.
The lady said that nothing is 100% but she was very sure that it is a boy, and showed me a close up of the penis shot. I was so happy! But since I've found out that sometimes scans are wrong!
I have my NHS scan in four weeks. I've heard that both private and NHS gender guesses can be wrong.

Is this definitely a boy?
It'd be great if anyone could say with any certainty! Any sonographers out there?

The potty shot most defo looks like a boy 💙💙 I panicked aswell after having a private scan after reading people buying blue and having pink or vice verse - my girl potty shot there were 3 lines and absolutely no hint of anything else so I would say this is pretty 100% for a boy congratulations 👶🏻

If they say boy they're rarely wrong (how else would they account for a visible penis?), but can be wrong if they say girl more.

That looks like they scan where my boy was identified. They can be wrong sometimes but that is very, very rare, otherwise they wouldn't risk their reputation by saying.

Well no, that's not what I mean. Because these scans are called Gender Scans. That's the name of them. 🙄

Hi, Thanks :-) I wasn't allowed to take anyone in with me, the place was quite strict covid wise, you had to answer triage questions in the phone before you were allowed in the building etc. Quite reassuring and safe feeling :-)

Lol, I'm aware of the contention. I'm saying, the name of these scans is Gender Scan. When you book one online, you're booking a Gender Scan. So that's what I referred to it as. Because that's the name of the procedure. It didn't require being schooled by you in current ideology. Also, you should look up what the department for education have said on this issue. And how Mermaids have totally backtracked on it too. Not everyone agrees with your viewpoint. The tides are turning on all that.

Oh ffs I knew someone would be along to tell you it's sex not gender! They are literally called gender scans. If you have a problem with that, you can email each individual company that provides them, and tell them they are incorrect.

I know right! They can't let it go because they identify so much with something that's so delusional that they feel they have to force it on people to feel better about themselves. Glad to see it all crumbling down now, everyone is finally waking up to it.

No, I'm hoping for a boy! But I don't want to get too excited about it in case it isn't! I'd still be really happy with a girl, but I've always dreamt of having a boy first that's all :-)

Literally every thread I’ve ever seen about sex / gender scans has a couple of posters champing at the bit to educate the OP about correct terminology, even though it’s not the place or time. Not everything is a platform for your ideological crusade!

OP - definitely looks like a boy to me. I think that they are unlikely to be wrong when identifying a boy (because you can see the penis) but sometimes boys are mistaken for girls if the penis isn’t visible at the exact time of the scan.

Thank you, that's reassuring :-) Yawn is exactly the word! Whenever you meet someone like that, you know exactly what they think about everything, because they've submitted to a simplistic ideology which they filter everything they see in the world through. Calm down love. I honestly don't know what your point is. Whats your point? There are two sexes. Male and female. Everyone sure knows that when they decide they want a baby from somewhere.

I think the point some people are missing is that those saying it should be known as a sex scan and not a gender one ARE the same people wanting sex to be a biological term so that others cannot railroad the rights of biological women by using their gender to equate their sex.
I agree this thread is not the time or place though and the scans are indeed called gender scans which is not the OPs fault.
