@Zaalfruit thank you, I'll take a look at the olbas oil, anything that can help I'll try!! Yes I'll bring it with me. Planning a water birth but will use whenever I'm not in water. It's only a tiny thing.

I'm not due til the 12th, is anyone else due this late?! Or will it just be me announcing my birth to an empty group 😂🙈

@FourPlasticRings the white chocolate spread sounds delicious, I haven't had that in maybe 20 years!! X

FourPlasticRings · 22/09/2020 08:51

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy it's the peril of online grocery shopping! I saw, I clicked and now it's in my cupboard. And so tasty!

Buzz22 · 22/09/2020 08:51

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I'm due on the 9th so only few days ahead of you.
Everyone I know keeps telling me they think she will come early but I certainly dont feel like I'm about to have a baby soon. I said before I think I'll be moaning on this thread at 42 weeks!

justanothermamma · 22/09/2020 09:21

@LostinAusten2 Congratulations! Hope you're recovering okay post op!

@Treacle81 My appetite has totally gone 😔 it's awful!

@Quiffy I'm going to pack a spare bag and leave it at home to be dropped off at hospital if needed afterwards in case I stay in a few days like last time with DD. If I pack it and have it ready then I know it actually has useful stuff in!

@MsSian93 Congratulations!! How are you feeling? Sending love!

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I'm due 7th but being induced a week early, otherwise I would have 100% been part of the late baby crew! 😂

BntTowers · 22/09/2020 10:17

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I'm due on the 15th and have an induction booked that day, so I'll still be here.

Spark27 · 22/09/2020 10:30

Cogratulations @MsSian93. I hope you are recovering well.

Are you at the same hospital @Treacle81? If so that's great and amazing that they supply nappies. My hospital dont (obvs would in an emergency, and did when our DD ended up in SCBU) but you're expected to take your own nappies, wipes, etc xx

HerondaleDucks · 22/09/2020 10:42

@MsSian93 congratulations on your little boy! Hope you are ok and recovering.

I have an induction booked now for 4th October as the consultant doesn't want me to go over 40 weeks. So I feel excited now I know what's happening.
Baby is all good size and growing. He is approximately 7lbs 7oz. So I reckon he'll be a bit bigger by then.

Well done to all the new mummies!!

Treacle81 · 22/09/2020 11:10

@Quiffy that sounds like a plan 👍 @Spark27 yes same hospital, she also said the nurses didn't comment on her baby wipes, so that's good. Makes things easier.oh @Zaalfruit, @FourPlasticRings, @booroo I am getting a sweep on the 1st, wonder who will go first! I must admit though I've went from thinking he'll come early a few weeks ago to now thinking he's staying put for a while yet. Don't even feel pregnant at times, due to him feeling so high up and not requiring toilet breaks as much as walking fine. Feeling slightly better today so I'm off to do a food shop 😊. We are getting an announcement regarding restrictions soon, I hope it's to follow suit with England and shut these damn pubs early!! xx

Quiffy · 22/09/2020 11:23

Bags all reorganised and feeling a lot better for it. Still 3 bags to take in but at least all his stuff is in his bag and all mine is in my case. Handbag for snacks, book and technology 😁

@justanothermamma got a spare bag with random bits in. That way dh won't be confused. Although my mum will be here so at least someone sensible around 😂

Ahhh all these induction dates booked - it's all so exciting. Although the nerves are kicking in for mine

@Treacle81 looking forward to all the announcements just so we know. My mum is ready to jump on a bus and move in with us if a travel ban or household ban is issued.

booandbumpp · 22/09/2020 11:26

How exciting logging on this morning and 3 babies have been born!! Congratulations everyone!!
Anyone else symptom spotting? I'm packed, and we've officially got everything now (Baby monitor arrived yesterday! I got the owlet one in the end) so we're just waiting for her arrival.
I've been having Braxton hicks and back pain for a week, last night for so long, regular, and painful I was about 10 minutes away from calling triage. This morning I've woken up with diarrhoea (TMI? Sorry) and my friend is saying that can be an early sign too...
I've got an appointment at 2pm for a scan and a sweep so hoping they'll be able to tell me what's going on!
I've never had a sweep before - anyone got any insight into what they're like?

justanothermamma · 22/09/2020 13:07

@booandbumpp Sweeps aren't all that nice but if you're experiencing symptoms it may certainly get things going! X

Spark27 · 22/09/2020 13:23

Cant help I'm afraid @booandbumpp. But if you can come back and share the knowledge that would be great 😅. Hope all goes well xx

justanothermamma · 22/09/2020 13:32

@Spark27 @booandbumpp They basically stick their hand right up and essentially run their fingers around where baby's head is sitting to 'loosen' things up. The 'sweep' separates the amniotic sac from the cervix and that separation can set things off (it releases a hormone I think?). It's horrid!

MrsK89 · 22/09/2020 13:33

Good luck @booandbumpp I've just been for my scan. Theyr estimating baby around 5lb 13. My others were around 5lb ish so sounds about right. I'm not going to ask for a sweep. I've chickened out haha

booroo · 22/09/2020 13:58

@Treacle81 I've got a sweep booked on the 30th really hope she comes before as they aren't my favourite things but I'm pretty certain she's good And comfy and won't make an appearance until she absolutely has to 🤣
Just once I'd like a little bit early baby not a stubborn one 🤣
Have been on a massive walk this morning so far all that's achieved is making me hungry and ache everywhere lol
@Zaalfruit I feel white Chocolate spread is something that could make these last few weeks potentially be better where does the wonderful sounding creation come from 🤣

@FourPlasticRings hi due date triplet 🤣 our babies our going to be try and be the funny ones who really should be some of the earliest of the thread but are bound to show up
The latest 🙈🤣

booroo · 22/09/2020 14:01

Arghh tagged names the wrong way around but you guys no what I mean 🤣🤣

LexiM · 22/09/2020 14:29

Just trying to catch up on everything. Huge congratulations @Treaclepie19 @LostinAusten2 and @MsSian93 - I am thrilled for you and cant wait to hear more about your babies.

Sorry to put a sad note on the group but this has been my place throughout my pregnancy journey. Sadly my Dad passed away yesterday with us all by his side, just as he wanted. He even felt well enough to have breakfast yesterday morning, so it all happened quite quickly. Whilst I am sad he wont get to meet his grandson he was ready to go and I'm relieved he wont be suffering any longer. There is never a good time for this but I was starting to worry it would be the week/day baby would be born that he would go, so I am grateful to have this time to be with family etc. and hopefully baby will come when he is ready and I can be more calm, as I am 3 weeks yet until my due date. Had such a bad night sleep as expected so hoping by not napping today I will sleep better tonight.

I have some bits to finish off at work, but taking today for myself and will see about it tomorrow. I also have my flu jab tomorrow morning.

Quiffy · 22/09/2020 14:51

@LexiM sending love to you and all your family. Glad that you were all by his side and got to have that time together. Hope you’re as okay as you can be ❤️

Buzz22 · 22/09/2020 15:06

@LexiM I'm so sorry about your dad. I'm glad that you and your family were able to be with him. And you are doing so well to cope with this during your pregnancy and to find some optimism during such a sad time.
Like you say, I truly believe people know when it is time to go and although its upsetting that he wont meet his grandson, he knew and I'm sure he was incredibly proud of you.
If you ever need to talk more, do send me a DM. I lost my father to cancer last year and its heartbreaking to watch someone you love go through that. Sending you and your family lots of love xxx

Spark27 · 22/09/2020 15:07

So sorry to hear your news @LexiM, but it's nice you got to spend the time together before. Look after yourself xx

CharlieBalf · 22/09/2020 15:10

Thinking of you @lexiM

Well done all the new babies! Sudden appearance of so many little ones!

I'm currently sitting in triage waiting for a reviewo after coming in for reduced movement. All OK but they might bring my sweep and scan forward. I was due r for a sweep on the 30th liken you @booroo my dd isn't until 5th so I can totally see myself sitting here on my lonesome until the 20th 🤣🤣

StrawberrySprinkles · 22/09/2020 15:13

So sorry to hear that @LexiM, thinking of you 💜

BntTowers · 22/09/2020 15:18

@LexiM sorry sorry to hear about your dad, thinking of you and your family. Sounds like he went the best way, surrounded by people who loved him very much. I hope you manage some rest.

MrsK89 · 22/09/2020 15:37

@LexiM sorry to hear about your Dad. Thinking of you and your family 💜

SkyBlue20 · 22/09/2020 15:50

I’m so sorry, @LexiM. I’m glad he got to leave the way he wanted and while he won’t meet your little one, he knew of him and knew how happy and settled you are in your life, which must be all any parent wants for their child. Sending you lots of love, take it easy and look after yourself, you’ve got a lot going on and deserve to focus on yourself now until baby arrives. Big hug xxx
