So I know this is super duper early for me.. I'm 3DPO today and have been feeling very crampy, nauseous and exhausted! (Cant even describe how tired I am!)

I know full well that a fertile egg wouldn't have even implanted yet, so I'm not for one second implying that I'm experiencing early pregnancy symptoms - I assume it's probably the aftermath of ovulating 🤔😅

It got me thinking.. and I wondered if anybody has ever just 'known' that they were pregnant..? Like the first few days post ovulation? I'm just genuinely curious!

I know many family members and also some friends that claim they knew pretty much within the first 3-7DPO! 😅

As I say, I'm not trying to say I 'know' I'm pregnant or anything like that, this is my first cycle TTC so I know that would be extremely lucky.. just curious! X x

Metallic taste in my mouth. Of course if I’d known what it meant that would have been more useful... Hmm

steph19948 · 19/09/2020 22:50

Sensitive teeth ( weirdly) sides of boobs hurt and super emotional!

NoShitHemlock · 19/09/2020 23:19

Itching with a rash on my stomach and upper legs. And I thought it was scabies because of the job I was working in at the time Blush. Actually went to the GP and he thought it was scabies too - never once mentioned that I might be pregnant.

That made for an interesting conversation on my first appointment at the hospital when I mentioned it - the midwife was actually disgusted. Her face basically said it all and I was mortified. She called a Doctor in who then got very excited about my "pregnancy rash" and said it was rare so early on.

Doesn't stop me being embarrassed about it now nearly 15yrs later.

Super sore boobs from literally 2dpo. I always got sore boobs before a period but usually started around 6/7dpo so it was so strange to have such sore boobs so early!

That was my only early symptom though!

firsttimemamax · 20/09/2020 01:17

It sounds really odd but my first symptom was a really strange aching in my legs! Never had an ache like that before, and then severe heartburn after my dinner which I've also never had before! Smile

Elspethelf · 20/09/2020 01:19

I cried randomly. My husband mentioned that sometimes he thinks about our dogs lifespan and it makes him sad and I burst out sobbing. The next day he looked me in the eyes and told me he loved me, instant tears. I knew it was weird but I couldn't control it. When I found out I was pregnant about a week later it made sense. Sore boobs and insane tiredness came next.

snowstorm2012 · 20/09/2020 01:50

Extreme thirst. Same with one of my friends too, I guessed she was pregnant before she found out because she was so thirsty all of the time all of a sudden.

Good luck btw!!

I knew every time - all 3 pregnancies PLUS I was v clear to the drs doubting when I KNEW I was getting false positive urinary tests too (weird anomaly due to gynae issue)

With pregnancies

All 3 REALLY sore boobs before even first missed period, I’m talking even putting a bra on hurt!

1st 2 - that horrid metallic heart burn thing again even before missed period

2nd 2 pregnancies - morning sickness kicked in really early, both times I didn’t even really believe it myself at first and dismissed as “food poisoning” - yea I know! Food poisoning doesn’t come in waves at particular times of day!

3rd pregnancy - everything tasted weird but in particular cold drinks, I was off the booze for ttc but at a meal out accidentally drank someone else’s white wine (which had been my “tipple” prior and this was “my” wine too) and it honestly tasted like warm vinegar! Haven’t been able to drink white wine since!

The 3rd pregnancy I had a friend at the time was very alert to picking up when women were pregnant even if she barely knew them and even before my v early symptoms she thought I was pregnant. I don’t think woo I think she was probably just VERY sensitive to things like changes in body odour etc that occur in pregnancy.

Conversely, just for fun my mum was the total opposite! Had no symptoms with any of us until she was over 3 months done, with me she was almost 5 months gone before she knew (she had light periods anyway and continued bleeding, no other symptoms), she fainted but it was height of a spring heatwave and initially she put it down to that. Happened in a public place and she was out for ages so a&e admittance and they only did a pregnancy test because she fell awkward and hurt her ribs and they wanted to do an x-ray to rule out any possible break. Mums response was to tell them they must have made a mistake! 2nd test administered and exam - she was definitely pregnant! Cue VERY hurriedly put together wedding! 4 weeks later, with a very carefully chosen and altered wedding dress! (Although I maintain having seen the pics that bump is pretty clear from that point!)

But even with bro and sis she bled throughout her pregnancies, never suffered morning sickness or anything and didn’t show until later stages despite being a slim lady.

It’s so weird how different people can be.

Buntyjones · 20/09/2020 04:38

Projectile vomit really early on (which lasted for 5 months)!

Seventytwoseventythree · 20/09/2020 05:13

Peeing all the time. I didn’t recognise it for what it was but I knew it wasn’t normal. Started at 7dpo and went away after a couple of weeks. Pre-dated all my other symptoms by several weeks.

premum1 · 20/09/2020 06:37

Wow thank you all so much for sharing your experiences with early symptoms! So nice to hear others have been through similar - I feel sometimes as though I'm completely mad! 🤷‍♀️😂💓

I honestly just knew, I was so convinced I was non fussed about taking a test. Took a test 4 days before AF due and got a strong but perhaps not BFP strong positive. A couple days before I got out the shower and there was a massive (new) vein that ran down my boob. I immediately thought that has to be pregnancy related.

bananamonkey · 20/09/2020 08:13

Crazy intense dreams and waking up at 5am every day, I knew it every time before I tested except the first one (3 x pregnancies + 3 x chemical pregnancies)

Daisymai1990 · 20/09/2020 09:09

I was super tired, had the most vivid dreams and thought I was going to be sick randomly one day and that was all by 6DPO so had a feeling. Tested at 9DPO and it was a very clear positive on a clear blue dye test ☺️

Runnerduck34 · 20/09/2020 09:14

Tender, swollen boobs,
Still had period type cramps but period never arrived.
Then a bit later after positive pregnancy test but early days of pregnancy darker nipples, tiredness, cups of tea not tasting right..

ticktackted · 20/09/2020 09:15

My earliest symptom was I felt great! I get PMS & lots of pre-period symptoms usually, but I had no spotting, lots of energy, my boobs didn't hurt, I didn't have pre-period cramps. Boobs started hurting from week 5 of pregnancy, and I felt awful with sickness from week 6-14, but that lack of period misery was my earliest symptom and an enjoyable one!

premum1 · 20/09/2020 09:18

Wow it's amazing how everyone felt things at different times!
Today I've got chest pain / heartburn but stomach pains seem to have subsided..? Anybody had this before? 4DPO today.

Simonfromharlow · 20/09/2020 09:38

My first early symptom both times was tingly nipples

Bbq1 · 20/09/2020 10:07

Extreme exhaustion hit me like a bus and I had a metallic taste in my mouth.

HeyDW96 · 20/09/2020 10:12

Tingly nipples, don't like having them touched and quite painful if I come up against something. Heaviness/dragging in my stomach, basically pms symptoms but I'm 13dpo and got a positive test today.

Fruitloops34 · 20/09/2020 10:25

I had the most sorest nipples at about 7DPO up until I got my BFP at 14DPO, still have them now at 7+4.

BL89 · 20/09/2020 10:25

Metallic taste really early on - then felt constipated (I didn't know it was a pregnancy symptom so had no idea Blush)

Good luck op Flowers

Parkandride · 20/09/2020 10:28

Sore boobs at 4 days past transfer of a 6 day embryo, so equivalent of 10 dpo I think? Nothing before that.
I've seen what my embryo looked like at 3 days and it's a couple of cells, no implantation, no hormones yet so I'd unfortunately take any symptoms with a pinch of salt. It's not uncommon for sperm to meet egg and fertilisation not occur, or implantation not happen, everything is so early at this stage. Sorry I know that sounds negative, I'm sure others are more sensitive than me and I really hope it works out for you Smile
