@Mustbemad82 I'd definitely get a private scan as I've heard some stories about NHS limits being way too high and better to be safe than sorry x

@zippityzip I'd definitely call if you've got a direct number, no query is too small, my hospital is clearly shit and until 18weeks my only option is A&E for any queries at all 🙄 how are you feeling now? x

@blodyn91 yeah the big reveal of the boyfriend and pregnancy went well, my mum burst into tears and said 'I'm not going back to work next year then' 😂 and my dad was eerily quiet and asked the bf to come over the next day, as I told them alone. He said the next day that he was waiting for me to announce that I'd got married in secret and he would've been devastated if that was the case which is why he was so quiet 🙈

@Madz123 whoop whoop to a positive letter 👌🏾 I was quite surprised they gave my general risk factor, I'm guessing based on my age and heritage which I thought was quite high and then the actual blood test results, all confusing to me but low is low right 😬

Sorry guys I'm going to have to come on here for a moan. I went to the loo this morning and had pink tinged discharge, I haven't had it since but I've been a bit crampy. Midwife wants me to ring gynea but I'm just so worried. It's our wedding anniversary today, 2 years, what a shitty present eh. Anyone had anything similar?

I've made a fb group... hopefully the link works! When you click join it should come up with a box to put in your username from here so I know it's a real request, once everyone who wants to join has joined I will make the group hidden so no one can find it (at the moment people can find it to request to join but nobody can see what you post, or that you are a member of the group, unless they are also a member of the group).

So I called them and explained and she kind of tutted and sighed and asked me again to clarify what I had said, so I did.

She said they wouldn't offer me a scan - and I said I wasn't asking for one. She then said "what do you want me to do" and then it was my turn to sigh and tut. She muttered something about ligaments and chuckled to herself. I borrowed a friends Doppler in the end and could hear the heartbeat. Took some paracetamol and laid on the other side and it's subsided now.

If it happens tomorrow I'm going in regardless. Even if it's just to punch that woman in the face.

@zippityzip uch why do these people have these sort of jobs! Thats cool you had a friend that had a doppler!

But seriously, no need for her to be an arsehole, you've got a legitimate pain and you shouldn't be made to feel like an idiot for calling them about it. If it happens again just go straight down there and kick her in the nuts (after they've checked you over)

Yeah to all that replied she was an Uber bitch and I'm surprised as everyone I've had at this hospital so far has been wonderful so hoping it's a one off and she's not there on my delivery day.

In other news I've had a total meltdown over my degree and I've bunked work to get some assignments completed but then now tomorrow will be mental at work and there's basically no happy middle ground.

My super vegan size 6 cousin with multiple vegan children and bullshit job is so FAR AHEAD in her degree she's practically finished in five minutes and she does yoga at 5am and has the cleanest house you've ever seen and only eats organic home made. But her degree is just for fun because, y'know her super important job means she earns tons of money and is so clever bla bla bla fuck off. Sick of her making me feel stupid as well.

Anyway I'm waiting for written feedback on an assignment next week which will go toward my final grade and I can either then stop panicking or really ramp it up the panicking.

Plus - WHO DECIDES TO OVERLAP TWO MODULES on their due date. Me. Fucking idiot.

@mrsmummy1111 oh the boyfriend/ family situation is that my parents didn't know I had a boyfriend so at the weekend when I turned up and told them I was 16weeks pregnant the next question was obviously who is the dad... which is my boyfriend who I've lived with for a year but just casually hadn't mentioned to them 😂 it's strange because my family is actually pretty close but very dysfunctional. OH told his parents today aswell so I think we've officially told everyone that we're going to now 😬 P.S I think you should change your MN name to yummymummy1111 I was expecting something so different based solely on the username 😂

@zippityzip bloody loved that ramble and glad you got it off your chest... love that your cousin isn't just vegan but a SUPER vegan 🤣 also that person you spoke to sounds like a proper twat, it's so frustrating that some medical staff feel like when you're under 20weeks you don't have a right to have any concerns 😤 i wasn't allowed to have social media really in a previous job and honestly I must've had so much more spare time before I cracked 🙈
