Hi @Sophi123 - I totally empathise. I had to take a full few weeks off mumsnet / all pregnancy related fb groups / banned myself from Dr Google to keep the anxiety in check. My symptoms came and went. Apparently once you see a heartbeat your odds of success are much higher, but there is nothing wrong with booking another reassurance scan. I had one at 6w2d and then another at 9w1d to ease my mind slightly. Even then, I'm panicking counting down the days to my dating scan at 12w!

@Sausage1990 my heart is absolutely breaking for you 💔 the strength you've had has been incredible. I will keep you in my thoughts tomorrow and I hope it goes as well as possible for you. I can't wait to see you back here with a beautiful rainbow bean 🌈❤️

@Mrsi2020 your midwife sounds like a babe. I love honesty and she sounds like she's really validated your feelings and worries. That's so important.

@SmileyT just requested to join!

Sausage1990 · 05/10/2020 22:25

Awww thanks @MrsEmilyB. I don't feel very strong sometimes but I don't have a choice. Tomorrow will be horrid and I will likely spend most of the day crying on an off but I will get through it because its the only way. After every storm there is a rainbow, and without rain flowers can't grow. ☔🌈💐

samilicious · 05/10/2020 22:29

Sorry for being MIA guys!

@Bl0ndi3 I was supposed to have my scan on weds but had it early 😊 went for a private scan Saturday before last and said I was measuring over a week ahead of where I should be, and to call my midwife to bring my scan forward so we wouldn't miss the pre-14 week fluid screening

Had to go to a hospital 40 mins drive away and got pretty flustered finding my way to the right place, so wasn't emotionally prepared for when I lay down. Proper grew in those few days and could see so so much! And it was moving non stop trying to move it's head back

Had proper chronic lower back pain and achey feeling by my left hip for last 2-3 days 😩 so think it's growing loads again

@MrsEmilyB on India - was it a Jacqueline Wilson book?! I loved her books! Can't remember what that one was called though

@Sausage1990 will be thinking of you tomorrow ❤️ and damn right about the rainbow. Yours is coming, you're going to be an absolutely fabulous mummy very soon I have no doubt ❤️

MrsEmilyB · 05/10/2020 22:32

@samilicious it wasn't! It was a hook called The Winter Rose by Jennifer Donnelley. Although, fun fact - my mum's name was Jacqueline Wilson! Everyone used to think the author was my mum 😂 I felt proper famous on the playground!

MrsEmilyB · 05/10/2020 22:33

Book not hook!

Catherinettc · 05/10/2020 23:11

@blodyn91 thanks :) I have to do it myself unfortunately as no family left. But keeps me busy at night and during self isolating. Bloody neighbour tested positive and I was in there the night before 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ xx

Mustbemad82 · 06/10/2020 05:54

@Sausage1990 thoughts are with you tomorrow and absolutely keep us posted. You’re right, better days will come xxxx

Sorry for not naming everyone, it’s hard here to keep up

There have been some lovely lovely scan pictures on here and it feels that things are ramping up for a lot of people . So lovely to see

I have an EPU appointment today so fingers crossed .

Also anyone had any previous cervix issues? I had 8.8mm of mine removed and the hospital said that I needed to have had 10mm removed to have a scan to check cervical length - 1mm just doesn’t seem like a big enough buffer
Thinking on having the measurement done privately x

zippityzip · 06/10/2020 06:25

@Catherinettc oh I love that. I have no idea how to PM on here but if you shared PayPal details I can send you my address?? If you had a beige and white one too?

zippityzip · 06/10/2020 06:26

@Sausage1990 Thinking of you today - I hope you're well looked after. We are here for you. I hope you have lots of self care planned for afterwards. Cosy socks, wine, painkillers, cuddles.

blodyn91 · 06/10/2020 07:38

thinking if you today @Sausage1990 💜💜

mrsmummy1111 · 06/10/2020 07:45

@Sausage1990 Sending you lots of love and strength for today. We'll be thinking of you ❤️

mrsmummy1111 · 06/10/2020 07:46

@Catherinettc I'll always support small businesses when I can! I'd love one in beige and white if you can do it? Agreed if you can send PayPal details (and someone can show me how to send a PM?!) then I can send my address.

No rush. We've got a good 6 months to go!

Ltay2 · 06/10/2020 08:28

@SmileyT Thank you for keeping up with the list!! I also have booked a gender scan for 9th Nov ☺️

@Sausage1990 Hope today goes as well as it possibly can today will be thinking of you ❤️

@MrsEmilyB Thats so funny! I was obsessed with Jacqueline Wilson books when I was younger so I would have loved you thinking she was your mum 😂

MrsEmilyB · 06/10/2020 08:33

Thinking of you @Sausage1990 ❤️❤️❤️ I'm so sorry this is happening.

zippityzip · 06/10/2020 08:34

So at what point do you call for advice with pains?

Since 5am it started off as a niggle and now I'm really uncomfortable.

The only way I can describe it is like ovulation pain on my left hand side but 10x more intense and constant.

I really don't want to embarrass myself if it's just nerve pain or stretching, no bleeding or cramps either.

MrsEmilyB · 06/10/2020 08:34

@Ltay2 haha I loved her books too! But I was always honest that it wasn't actually my mum hahaha.

Ltay2 · 06/10/2020 08:42

@zippityzip I would call even if just for reassurance! When I had my bleeding it was the tiniest dot and I thought they would dismiss it as me overreacting but they were so good and understanding that I needed the reassurance if nothing else so I'm sure they would be the same with any out of the ordinary pains like that. Always better to get it checked, and better to be a little embarrassed and relieved than spending more time worrying over it.

Bl0ndi3 · 06/10/2020 09:02

@zippityzip please never worry about ringing for reassurance - who cares if it is just stretching or whatever you will be better off having rang and been checked just in case lovely and to give you the reassurance you need xx

blodyn91 · 06/10/2020 09:05

@SmileyT sorry if ive missed it but how did the announcement go? were you introducing your oh as well??

@zippityzip If its constant pain and pretty painful I would call

Catherinettc · 06/10/2020 09:53

@mrsmummy1111 @zippityzip im on browser and not the app not sure if there's a difference but under each comment there's 3 dots, I just click them and option to pm comes up xx

mrsmummy1111 · 06/10/2020 10:00

Call now @zippityzip if it's been constant since 5am that's a good 5 hours. In my eyes you can never be too careful when it comes to pregnancy. Let us know how it goes xx

Catherinettc · 06/10/2020 10:26

@zippityzip sorry just seen ur in pain. If ur even the slightest bit worried get yourself checked out mrs ❤❤ xx

Madz123 · 06/10/2020 12:16

@zippityzip no harm in getting some reassurance!

Congratulations everyone who has had successful scans that I've missed!

Just received my letter after my dating scan and have a risk of 1 in 100000 of a baby with downs syndrome and although this doesn't take into account my slightly strange genetics I'm shocked at how low it is!
