@LittleRa Oh they are the best. I also grabbed some nursing tops with the full intention to breastfeed but I doubt I'll manage this time either.

LittleRa · 23/09/2020 07:03

@zippityzip Ooh I’ll have to go and look 👀

LittleRa · 23/09/2020 07:03

I have my 16 week appt today, face to face held at my GP Surgery with community midwife.

zippityzip · 23/09/2020 07:46

@LittleRa 16 weeks!!!!!!! You may hear the heartbeat today!!!

Catherinettc · 23/09/2020 08:00

@Bl0ndi3 good luck today! Xxx

Hope ur all as well as can be ladies ❤❤ xx

Ooh might need to check lidl cos that's cheap! I ordered bump bands last night from boohoo. Think it was around £6.50 for 2. They will be handy for covering the gap in my trousers where I'm using the bobble hack right now 🤣🤣 xx

Mococo1 · 23/09/2020 08:06

Morning ladies

Hope you are all well

Good luck today @Bl0ndi3 and @Sophi123 I'll thinking of you both of you xxxx

@LittleRa enjoy your MW appointment hope you hear the heartbeat xx

Bl0ndi3 · 23/09/2020 08:08

@LittleRa make sure to have your phone ready to record the heartbeat if you can! ❤️ somebody posted theirs in the Facebook group and it was so incredible that they could share it and obviously keep it for themselves and have that forever.

I am currently just waiting for my weeks test to finish ..... ⏰

Bl0ndi3 · 23/09/2020 08:14

Well if nothing else good happens today.... this did ❤️

I am now officially done testing!

Thanks to you all for the support for today I'm hoping it's not bad news but I can't shake the feeling that it is but I'll cross that bridge when it comes to it. Just trying to be calm and relaxed for the sake of little jelly bean.

@Bl0ndi3 3+ boom.

Not long now until you know.

Bl0ndi3 · 23/09/2020 08:45

@Cocoblue22 thanks so much lovely!

I actually really want a changing table. We plan to get a pax wardrobe from IKEA with loads of storage inside for the nursery so it will last til baby grows up too instead of a nursery wardrobe and I at the very least want a set of drawers with a change table on top as it will be good for morning and evening at the very least my friend has one like that and they still use it now and baby is 2 haha!

Also because we're gonna use reusable nappies I think it will be easier to have a changing station set up in the nursery for it all and just have a travel mat for when we're out and about and maybe the odd emergency downstairs changes haha best of both worlds I guess

mrsmummy1111 · 23/09/2020 09:29

Good luck girls @Bl0ndi3 and @Sophi123 we'll all be thinking of you and sending good luck! X

Bl0ndi3 · 23/09/2020 09:44

I've been placed at risk of redundancy

Mococo1 · 23/09/2020 09:53

@Bl0ndi3 fingers crossed when higher management realise you are pregnant you will be taken off the list asap! X if not I don't think they would be so cruel to make you redundant right away at the least they should consider doing it at the point where you receive your mat pay- I think you will still be eligible for OML if you've worked most of the tax year xxx

Bl0ndi3 · 23/09/2020 10:04

The consultation period ends 2nd November so I'll know by then when I'm a lovely 11 weeks pregnant and then I think it will be effective from 1st January

zippityzip · 23/09/2020 10:30

@Bl0ndi3 Oh I'm sorry that's shit. Forewarned is forearmed. Get all your info and plan for each eventuality! Really hope by November things are clearer and you're not at risk.

Bl0ndi3 · 23/09/2020 11:22

In other news I got a response from one of the MPs I contacted

Bl0ndi3 · 23/09/2020 12:12

@Sophi123 how did you scan go lovely ❤️

Ltay2 · 23/09/2020 12:32

@LittleRa @Sophi123 Good luck for today!

@Bl0ndi3 Crap about potential risk of redundancy 😞 hopefully doesn't come to that.

So I found out what my additional appointment is for, it's with the consultant due to my increased risk of pre eclampsia but it's now over the phone (didn't say anything about that on the letter, just to go to a hospital 40 minutes away so good job I checked 🙄)

LittleRa · 23/09/2020 13:14

Omg @Bl0ndi3 thank you so much for the tip about recording the heartbeat!! I hadn’t even thought of it, and I happened to glance at the replies on this thread while actually sitting in the appointment! As I’d been at work all morning and rushed off to appt I hadn’t had chance to check, then the midwife had to ring the hospital to chase up some of my results they hadn’t had through yet (urine ones like chlamydia and HIV 😳) and while she was on the phone I just refreshed the page and saw your message. Five mins later I was listening to the heartbeat and got a lovely clear video for DP!

All was well at the appointment- heard the heartbeat which was 150bpm (normal range is 110-160). Had blood pressure taken, urine sample. Few lifestyle questions (smoking, depression). Booked in 25 week appt for November 25th.

So sorry to heart about your risk of redundancy x

LittleRa · 23/09/2020 13:15

@Ltay2 That’s the same as me, is it low PAPP-A? Have you had a prescription of aspirin x

Ltay2 · 23/09/2020 13:17

@LittleRa With me it's due to family history as my mum had pre eclampsia, and then full blown eclampsia, yeah I have been told to take 150mg aspirin from 12 weeks which I will start this weekend!

Bl0ndi3 · 23/09/2020 13:32

@LittleRa aww I am so thrilled you managed to see my message and record the heartbeat ❤️❤️❤️

Sophi123 · 23/09/2020 13:41

Hi all,

Back from long morning in EPU! At the moment they could see the gestational sac and the yolk sac in the uterus, but no embryo or heartbeat yet. They reassured me that that's normal at this stage and have another scan in 7 days time. Also found a small bit of bleeding in uterus which may have been the problem at weekend and a 4cm cyst on my left ovary which may be contributing to the pain. So obviously no certainty, but pleased things are there and in the right place. Have promised the husband I'm going to stay off google/searching mumsnet threads and just see how it goes so might be a bit quiet, but will be back if/when feeling more hopeful :). Thanks for all your support!

Catherinettc · 23/09/2020 14:59

@Sophi123 glad everything is in the right place. I have the same, a bleed beside the pregnancy sac. Try not to panic, most times its absorbed back into the body. Im back next wed for a scan to check for baby in the sack etc so I feel ur anxiety. This is good news ❤ I'm sure ur next scan will show ur wee blob happily bouncing around xxx

zippityzip · 23/09/2020 17:18

@LittleRa were they funny about you recording it or did you do it on the sly?! I asked if I could record bits of the scan and she looked horrified.

@Ltay2 I was told to take aspirin but not prescribed any 🧐

Talking of which - has anyone had maternity exemption cards yet?! I want some dental work done!!! When do they arrive?

@Sophi123 I'm glad everything is looking good and you get another scan in a week!! Must be a relief.
