@Sussexbysea I think it's a girl. Especially going by the nub and skull theory. The consensus on here agreed girl too. But I would be happy with either. I hope it is a position where they can see. I'm exactly 16 weeks today so hope it's not too early. They apparently offer a free rescan if they can't see and advertise for 16 weeks so thought no harm in booking early xx

Sussexbysea · 23/09/2020 08:49

@MrsAndMrs thank god it’s not only me. Gagging is the best way to describe it.

I’ve got mine a week tomorrow eeekkkk!!!! Some people are more than happy to go from the 12 week scan to the 20 week scan with no extra scans but this time round I’m wanting all the scans.

I’ll probably end up booking in a 4d scan later in pregnancy too

MrsAndMrs · 23/09/2020 09:12

@Sussexbysea I don't remember being nearly this nervous my first time round but now I want every scan going! 😂 must be more of a worrier with age!

I'm feeling so much pressure with the whole gender scan, all the family have ideas of what they would like it to be. I just want to know so I can shut everyone up about it! 🙈

Babafarmer · 23/09/2020 09:17

@MrsAndMrs I would love to me able to announce what we are having but both sets of grandparents have asked not to know. So we have decided just to tell people who specifically ask but tell them not to spread the news. Xx

Sussexbysea · 23/09/2020 09:21

@MrsAndMrs how old is your first child? Mine is nearly 4 and I think the internet and apps have changed so much in that time and information is so easily available and can make parents worry even more.

With my daughter, I was excited for the 12 week scan and even more so for the 20 week. This time, I was crapping it for the 12 weeks and given potentially bad news and then the 20 week scan.... I never saw it for what it was really. When’s your due date?

Aurora124 · 23/09/2020 09:30

@Sussexbysea i think you are right, i feel we know so much more now because of everything online. We can't help be worried.

This is the longest I have gone without telling anyone. I only told my mum yesterday and i'm 15weeks.

@LandMammal i asked the midwife about antihistamines she said they are ok to take but try not to take them every day.

MrsAndMrs · 23/09/2020 09:34

@Babafarmer that takes a good bit of pressure off you to know. We've said we'll tell everyone next Saturday.

@Sussexbysea my first child is 12 now so its been a loooooong time since I've done this! 😂 I feel like a nervous wreck this time around, I suppose cause its taken us so long to get here. I'm due on 16th March but my consultant has told me if I haven't gone naturally, I'll be induced week 39. Good to know I won't have to go over my due date! When are you due? Did you say you could feel bub moving properly now? I'm dying to know if what I'm feeling is right!

Sussexbysea · 23/09/2020 09:52

@Babafarmer we must be due date twins!!

@MrsAndMrs yesterday I could feel rolling, well I think I could anyway.

Babafarmer · 23/09/2020 10:00

@Sussexbysea 10th March?

Sussexbysea · 23/09/2020 10:47

@Babafarmer snap!! Xx

Babafarmer · 23/09/2020 10:49

Awww hey twin @Sussexbysea

Is there still one person to have a 12 week scan today?

aureliacecilia · 23/09/2020 11:04

Possibly @Babafarmer but hopefully we'll be on our way to @holb54's new Facebook group soon. I think it would be good to keep this thread going as well if possible.

Usplusone · 23/09/2020 11:18

Hi everyone. Initial cvs results are negative, one hurdle down 99 more to go! By no means out of the woods but got about 10 days til the next results so I might as well try to relax for now

Babafarmer · 23/09/2020 11:26

@Usplusone great news. One step at a time but this is a fabulous positive one. Just had a little scroll @LittleBrownBaby is the last to have as and that's this morning. Hope all is going well xx

MrsAndMrs · 23/09/2020 11:30

@Usplusone positive news!! Baby steps and all that.....enjoy this news x

EmzG20 · 23/09/2020 11:37

I've got my blood test for screening tomorrow they couldn't do it the same time as my scan.
And I've got my flu jab as well.
Arms will be sore tomorrow. Hope we are all doing ok.
Morning sickness kicked back in this morning.

Sussexbysea · 23/09/2020 11:48

@Usplusone that’s great. What results are you waiting for next?

Babafarmer · 23/09/2020 11:55

@EmzG20 I had my flu jab yesterday. My arm is a bit better today. Yesterday it was very achy xx

ValidUser · 23/09/2020 12:29

@Usplusone how do the initial results work again? Good to be over that hurdle!

aureliacecilia · 23/09/2020 12:36

I couldn't book my flu jab until mid October but I've managed to get my whooping cough vaccination a few weeks before it.

aureliacecilia · 23/09/2020 12:36

Fantastic news @Usplusone. Hoping for more good news for you.

Aurora124 · 23/09/2020 12:38

Does anyone know how long it takes for the screening blood test results to come back? ( is that a thing?) They couldn't do the screening test at the scan and I'm getting blood taken on Tues, would rather test results be returned before telling everyone. Just make sure things are ok before I make that leap.

LottieX · 23/09/2020 12:46

@Aurora124 I had my screening tests on the Wednesday evening and had the results through the post on Monday morning

aureliacecilia · 23/09/2020 12:53

I haven't had any results yet and my scan was last Tuesday. However they said they would ring within 5 days if the results were high risk so I'm hopefully in the clear!

aureliacecilia · 23/09/2020 12:54

I do have an abysmal post service though...
