Maternity leggings

I haven’t worn leggings since I was 13 as I hate them but everyone keeps telling me how great they are during pregnancy. I bought some from boohoo.com but they’re so baggy and see through they’re unwearable. Does anyone know of any really good quality thick maternity leggings, I don’t want to waste more money on tat

Love leggings are good - nice and thick material.

Juls121 · 06/09/2020 11:34

Love leggings

Pinkpepper9 · 06/09/2020 11:37

I’ve had 2 pairs of ASOS leggings that I have worn through my whole pregnancy, really reasonable too

60sPony · 06/09/2020 11:39

Expensive but lulu lemon align pants... they aren’t designed just for maternity so can be worn as normal leggings after. No other pair are as comfortable or blackout in my opinion

Stargazer87 · 06/09/2020 11:56

Definitely love leggings, I tried a few before Love Leggings and they're definitely the best, nice and thick and really comfortable!

peachypetite · 06/09/2020 11:56

Love leggings. Boohoo is the cheapest shit out there!

Sanch1 · 06/09/2020 12:11

I've found my H&M ones pretty good.

H8624 · 06/09/2020 12:14

Love leggings - I went a size up to normal and they are super comfy.

Had some new look ones passed down to me that are good too

Persipan · 06/09/2020 12:15

You don't actually have to wear leggings just because everyone else thinks they're great, though!

Viletta · 06/09/2020 12:16

I haven't used much leggings before pregnancy, got lots during pregnancy and hate wearing them. I prefer my dresses, long skirts and maternity jeans. H&M legging are comfier than bohoo but transparent so would wear with a stretchy skirt or tunic

Misty999 · 06/09/2020 12:18

Dorothy Perkins not see through good quality and very comfortable. Reasonably priced.

Chanel05 · 06/09/2020 12:21

H&M I think they are two pairs for £17.99 but I've worn mine throughout my pregnancy.

icedaisy · 06/09/2020 12:30

Exactly the same @Oneandabean those boohoo leggings are ridiculous. Then the label has irritated my back and removing it has left a really jaggy bit.

I've just ordered two pairs from next.

Emmacb82 · 06/09/2020 12:39

I used new look and they were fine

SqidgeBum · 06/09/2020 12:42

I am actually living in primark ones that are the next size up. They are fine around my legs too considering the waist size is big. I am 32 weeks and am still comfy in them and I find them pretty thick. I bought new look ones and they were rubbish.

Oneandabean · 06/09/2020 12:42

I keep seeing the love leggings adverts but when I looked at reviews I saw a few people saying they were really bad quality and thin so put me off. They seem very popular on here though.
I know I don’t have to wear them but my job involves a lot of bending and I thought leggings might be more comfortable than jeans, but obviously don’t want to be showing everyone everything when I bend 🙈

H&M were the best I bought. Thick material, didn't go saggy, waist band comfy.

JessicaPeach · 06/09/2020 13:01

I prefer h&m

Lobster21 · 06/09/2020 14:02

I have never worn leggings before but was getting very uncomfortable and decided to try a pair of Love Leggings ones. They're really comfy and not see through at all. They've been a great buy for me.

TheHappyHerbivore · 06/09/2020 14:26

Another recommendation for love leggings. Really thick and comfortable, and good value. I can’t see myself wearing anything else this pregnancy tbh.

hellymum21 · 06/09/2020 15:36

H&M great quality, only £9.99! They are super supportive and comfy too!

MaverickDanger · 06/09/2020 15:47

Agree with Love Leggings - I’m normally really strict about the type I like (nothing too thin or see through) so normally prefer Spanx or jodhpur type thickness.

Love Leggings have that thickness while also being really soft on the inside and comfortable. I’ve worn one pair almost daily for the past 10 weeks and they still look like new. I’ve ordered a second, and will also order some non maternity ones too for after - that’s how much I love them.

Leggings are never going to replace proper trousers though, so if you’re worried about showing things when you’re bending, definitely wear a long top that covers your bum or wear jeans instead!

glasha87 · 06/09/2020 16:07

H&M maternity leggings are fantastic! You just order your usual size. I’ve a massive bump and they comfortably accommodate it at 38 weeks.
They are transparent mind - so great with a wrap dress/long cardigan/long tunic.

peachypetite · 07/09/2020 07:07

I’m short so love leggings were fantastic! I have three pairs now.

Comfyonion · 07/09/2020 07:15

Another vote for love leggings. I got some for the first time last week. I'm tall and they did a great range in longer lengths, maternity and non maternity. I'm not normally a leggings person but they're really thick and comfy, stick a big jumper with them to cover your arse and they're great. Arrived quick too.

I also have a pair from rainbow and sprinkles. They're not maternity but sit under bump just fine. They're lovely and thick but patterns are quite out there (for me, at least) but again, really comfy! Nice high waist so good for post csection.
