Looking for some opinions if you can please ladies...

My parents are going away for a month 8days after my first scan. Its my dad's 60th while they are away.

I want to give him a birthday card, to open before the go of course, to break the news of their first DG.
Should I get one that says

1. 'happy birthday grandad' with the scan pic inside
2. 'happy 60th birthday' outside and 'from the four of us' written inside (we have a dog) and pics inside
3. Photo card with text along these lines with the scan pic on the outside
4. other?

For reference, he hates birthdays so we're not stealing the limelight and I think he will be thrilled with the news so is a nice treat.

@Thack what a lovely idea! My favourite is option 1 (happy birthday Grandad) as he’ll do a double-take at that then open the card and see the scan pic! How exciting!

Lovely to see everybody’s scan pictures! Such a huge difference between those and my pic at almost 10 weeks. They grow fast! I’ve still got a week to wait for mine though 😩 xxx

Hi ladies o/ I was briefly on one of the earlier threads but we had a scare and I came away. Turns out everything is okay and I’ve got my 12 week scan this Friday second attempt as the scan I had last week only showed me to be 11 weeks and baby too small to measure apparently

My gender predictions (but they will all turn out wrong I bet!)

Just because I haven’t had much in the way of morning sickness and I’m not needing sweet foods as much as I normally do, I am convinced mine is a boy! DH noticed that I kept referring to the baby as “he” and he said “so we’re having a boy are we?!” 😂 xxx

@Symphony87 sorry to hear about your scare but glad it is all looking good for you All the best with your scan on Friday! It seems they are coming thick and fast for us all now! Mine is on Monday and I am just wishing this week away! xxx

@Mrs1989 that's exactly what I thought! Mine was still blob-like at 10 weeks, and these look so baby-like only 2 weeks later!

I'm loving all the guesses! Our gender scan is just under 6 weeks away, can't wait! 🧡

Lovely pictures! I'm still holding on until next week. Have an exam 2 days later but couldn't wait any longer than I already have to!

@DSP21 mine was a bit of a blob - the head and little arm waving away were very defined but the bottom half was shaped like a bumblebee!

@Usplusone I get insatiable hunger at various points. The funny thing is I might feel queasy and then probably half an hour later that feeling is replaced by hunger! I have been trying to snack on fruit and almonds recently because my go-to snacks were too often mini cheddars and Babybels! xxx

@DSP21 I will be 12+1!
I'm 10 weeks today ( meant to be 12 as per LMP) xx

@Usplusone I can't stop eating and if I don't eat I get sick and if I get sick it takes the rest of the day to feel better. I'm trying to just do little and often as that's meant to be good for you!

Eeek everyone's scans look so lovely!
I hope and pray for this good news also I am so nervous as my sickness literally went about 2 and half weeks ago and hasn't returned. And other than fatigue and sore nipples I feel absolutely normal. I guess it's making me even more worried.

I am tomorrow - eek! at 13 weeks. I havent had any symptoms for a while now and my bump is non existent so trying to stay open minded for tomorrow. Hope to update you guys tomorrow AM, as I'm in at 9.20. Hope you have all had a lovely evening, dont think I will sleep well tonight!

I tried to post my scan picture, said it posted, but no idea where! :S
Both twins still alive and jamming around in there, measuring slightly ahead at 13+1.
They said I had to go back again for the screening though to see a twin specialist, but good news so far!!

So relieved and happy, everything was good 💜 baby is very wiggly and wouldn't stop moving and waving which was great but it has left me with blurry pictures 😂😂 dates are perfect and I'm back to my orginal due date of March 15th 💫💫
