Leok83 · 25/09/2020 14:43

Amazing news @BecsterG! Congratulations 🌈🌈 💙!!

FireflyGirl · 25/09/2020 20:29

Huge congratulations @BecsterG, and happy birthday Jude!

I've been in for monitoring this afternoon. I mentioned to the midwife at my appointment that madam has been having a couple of quiet days, and she sent me straight in.

I felt daft as baby was wriggling all over even as I arrived, but they were all really reassuring, said it was as much about a change in pattern as reduced movements, and they're happy to see me as often as needed, even if that's tonight/early hours of tomorrow.

They also all commented on how you can easily see she's head down as her bum is so prominent in my bump Grin

EJay84 · 25/09/2020 21:32

Hi, I found out I'd had a missed miscarriage on Mon. We had had a scan the week before at 8+3 and everything measured perfectly with a strong heartbeat. We then found out at 9+3 baby had stopped growing at 8+5. Can't get my head around what went wrong in those 2 days. Started some cramping and brown spotting today so fully expecting the physical side of things to start kicking in now. This waiting is a killer. Hoping to TTC again as soon as we can x

MilsCookie · 25/09/2020 21:39

I'm so sorry for your loss @EJay84 😔 it's the most heartbreaking thing to go through and all of us here can relate. I would recommend joining the ttc after miscarriage thread on the conception board - the one with dinosaur emojis in the thread title! Lots of lovely ladies there who have been in your shoes and very helpful and supportive. Be kind to yourself - it's nothing you did in those two days that caused it. Unfortunately it's just nature's way sometimes and sadly it's a lot more common than we realise. Take care 😘

EJay84 · 25/09/2020 21:44

Thank you @MilsCookie. I could really do with chatting with some others who have been there and seeing positive outcomes after MMC. I'll defo go and join the other thread x

MilsCookie · 25/09/2020 21:59

Most people on this thread have gone on to conceive again after mc, ranging from 1st month after up to 7-8 months after! Hopefully some of the stories here can give you some comfort as we're now all having successful pregnancies... and two have recently given birth to their rainbow babies 🌈! (@BecsterG was this morning!) it's emotionally one of the most painful things I've ever been through though so all I can say is please be kind to yourself and take it one day at a time xx

mlax · 26/09/2020 10:58

Congratulations @MrsB16 sorry I'm so far behind with catching up on this thread! I'm so happy for you and your little family and I hope you're all doing well and settled very nicely in your home 💖🌈

Also congratulations!!!!! @BecsterG such a lovely name!! Hope you're both doing well 😚🌈

So sorry to hear this @EJay84. Like many of us ladies in here have all been through it and I can't even begin to tell you how heartbreaking it is and to hear it. Like @MilsCookie has said, it's sadly much more common than we think but it's amazing that there are groups like this and can become social friends (as I am with @MilsCookie 🥰). Sending you lots of virtual hugs and please take care of yourself xxxxxx

BS9790 · 26/09/2020 11:23

Congratulations @BecsterG, lovely news. Hope you're all well and enjoying lots of lovely snuggles 💕💕

I'm so full of cold.... Had a panic last night it was covid 🙈 but the sneezing and congestion is intense now so fairly sure it isn't...!!
Is there anything we can take?!

Whiffle77 · 26/09/2020 11:36

I dont think there is really anything @BS9790, its so rubbish isn't it!! Hope you feel much better soon!
@FireflyGirl glad all ok after your monitoring 🥰
Sorry for your loss @EJay84 as the girls say, the ttc group is so supportive. Look after yourself!

Can someone remind me of the facebook link please? Does it show up on your profile?

BecsterG · 26/09/2020 15:13

Thanks everyone. I'm so in love again with my second boy and he smells just amazing! You forget the newborn smell.

Here is my birthday story:

I woke up on Thursday with really mild period like cramps. I just had a feeling that I was going to go into labour all day. After being knackered the day before I had energy and did a big walk, major nesting and by 4 the period cramps were still mild but had started to come and go like a contraction. Not painful at all. I knew for sure I was in labour by 9 when my contractions were getting closer together. We got to hospital for about 22:45 and he was born at 01:45. A fairly straight forward and quick labour with gas and air. I have a heart shaped uterus and like with my first son the placenta didn't come away so I had to go to theatre to get it removed with an epidural. It's very annoying giving birth with no pain relief and then getting an epidural but hey ho it needed to be done. We were home by 6 last night. Big brother Max has been asking for lots of cuddles. 😍💙 We are all in love.

I'll share a picture when I have a MN appropriate one.

@BecsterG 💙💙💙💙💙💙
Such a lovely birth story ! Well done :)
Can't wait for the picture!
FTM here and never had to smell a newborn but hopefully will know soon enough 😇
Enjoy x

MilsCookie · 26/09/2020 16:26

Awww lovely story @BecsterG and you made it sound so easy!! How frustrating about the placenta though - that happened to my friend too. At least you're all home now!! Enjoy that gorgeous newborn smell! 💙 xx

ChampooPapi · 27/09/2020 20:03

@BecsterG such a beautiful birth story and you are a real soldier woman on just the gas and air. Amazing to read your actual birth experience after all these months as well, I think I can speak for all of us here and say it feels so positive for all of us to see you 'reach the final destination' so to speak of the trying, then the conception, the pregnancy process. That you are holding this amazing being in your arms after a textbook delivery (albeit the placenta times!) It happened, you had your rainbow baby 🥰

Love it!

BecsterG · 27/09/2020 20:07

Aww thanks ladies! How are all you ladies doing?

ChampooPapi · 27/09/2020 20:14

@BecsterG hanging in there, just taking a few hours at a time and trying not to get overwhelmed. I'm also now fairly huge, I better upload another bump shot really before it's too late and I have these babies

ChampooPapi · 27/09/2020 20:16

@BecsterG I know it's early days but don't you just think that second baby slots right into things and it just feels so right? Him and Max are going to be such good friends too. I love that reassurece that element brings into the family too, that they've got each other too

ChampooPapi · 27/09/2020 20:22

@SunnySideUp2020 you are in for a treat on your first newborn smell, and although others babies can smell devine, there is NOTHING like the top of your own newborns head. You are having this baby and you are going to sniff that little thing like there's no tomorrow.

Babies are so gorgeous and lovely, children....meh...their ok 😆 but babies are the best, they are bloody lush and I think easier to look after then children or adults most of the time!

scrumdiddly123 · 27/09/2020 20:46

@BecsterG congratulations! Sounds like a fab birth but a shame about the placenta! Love the name Jude too x

MilsCookie · 27/09/2020 22:54

@ChampooPapi keep hanging in there lovely... not much longer to go. When do you think you're likely to have them, have they given you a c section date or anything yet? I'm also feeling pretty huge too now (26 weeks tomorrow!) and struggle to walk very far. Everything hurts by the end of the day and I struggle to get comfy/breathe at night so have to prop myself up with more pillows. Would love to see a recent bump pic! I'll do another one soon too.

@BecsterG hope everything is going well with baby Jude? Have you been able to have any visitors yet? xx

SunnySideUp2020 · 28/09/2020 07:32

@ChampooPapi yes to bump pic!!!
If anyone else is willing yo share the progress too would be lovely! I have bloating to share... 😄

We moved to our new flat!
Been moving boxes and running around shops all weekend. I am so so tired. And nothing is unpacked 😑
I am literally sitting here looking at the mess and just wanting to run away and cry.
But happy to have moved, happiness will just show itself once everything is clean and sorted 😰🙄

TerribleImagination · 28/09/2020 07:58

Ooh yes to bump pics!! I’ll do one today 😍

Ahh yeay to moving into your flat @SunnySideUp2020! That’s so exciting! It’s always a ballache unpacking, but you’ll get there!

scrumdiddly123 · 28/09/2020 09:07

Great news you’re in your new flat @SunnySideUp2020! Don’t overdo it with the unpacking though!
Would love to see everyone’s bumps!
Here’s mine, taken yesterday at 12+2. Got my scan on Thursday so if all is well we can finally tell our other children, I can’t wait!
