@Flodo I’m so sorry.

NoGinNotComingIn · 26/08/2020 20:02

@Flodostill I’m so sorry. It was the one thing that I really worried about, not just finding out bad news but being there by myself. Glad they let your husband up after you found out. I hope you have some real life support, take care Xx

spierse · 26/08/2020 20:25

Can I ask what everyone's bumps are like im 10+2 and can do up my jeans, but it may be as I've lost quite a bit of weight as morning sickness has been horrific...I have a very small bump but only something I and OH would notice. I'm 5ft 10 so maybe its just got more room in there?? Just paranoid after two MC that its not growing........

Sussexbysea · 26/08/2020 20:31

@spierse is this your first? If so, bumps appear rather slowly.

This is my second and my bump is visible. Luckily for me, I work from home and I carry some timber so people will probably think I’ve just eaten too many donuts

spierse · 26/08/2020 20:44

@Sussexbysea 3rd pregnancy but first was MMC at 13 weeks but baby stopped developing around 8 weeks, second MC was at 8 weeks, my stomach is normally pretty flat though so may just be I have a large cavity, I'm just totally paranoid right now and over analysing every single little thing 😬

Babafarmer · 26/08/2020 21:20

@Flodo I'm so sorry for what you are having to go through. I can't imagine what you must be feeling x

Sussexbysea · 26/08/2020 21:27

@spierse I can imagine you are.

After seeing one of the girls news about baby stopping growing at 11 weeks, that scares me. I’m feeling anxious about my scan next Thursday x

NoGinNotComingIn · 26/08/2020 21:32

I didn’t really have a bump until maybe 20 weeks the first time, at 12 weeks my stomach was still pretty flat, even with the second. I took pics each week the first time I was pregnant, I’ll have to see if I can find them and say exactly when A bump appears.

I’m nearly 14 weeks now and I just look like I’ve had a Christmas dinner, I’ve no issues fitting in size 8 skinny jeans -yet, I normally have a v flat tummy so it’s only noticeable if you know what I look like normally. I imagine it’ll pop out much sooner this time and probably never shrink back ever again 🤣, I was far too lucky the first and second time!

Oldermum80 · 26/08/2020 21:35

@spierse I’m 10 weeks on Friday and only have a bump when I eat so it’s more bloat! I wake up in the morning and it’s perfectly flat.

TheFoz · 26/08/2020 22:03

@Flodostill I’m so sorry for your sad news. Another one here who has been that soldier. Take your time in dealing with it 🌺

spierse · 26/08/2020 22:04

Thanks ladies, I definitely get bigger after eating, right now the bloat is very real! Also still feeling totally shattered a lot of the time, my house looks like a bomb hit it as most of my time these days when not working is spent lying down watching netflix/amazon prime. I'm also having the ridiculous emotions thing, I cry at anything on TV which is even the tiniest bit emotional, certain songs can also reduce me to tears for no reason, its exceptionally odd!!

holb54 · 26/08/2020 22:18

@spierse never realised how bad bloating can be, it's so draining too!

Phie04 · 26/08/2020 22:51

I feel huge too. Nothing in the mornings I'm actually skinnier than before pregnancy because of vomiting and nausea towards almost every food but crisps and chocolate! However after a meal I look 5 months pregnant.

Sussexbysea · 27/08/2020 06:40

Morning all!

Last night was my first evening meal since I was 6 weeks. We had steak and it was lush.

This morning when I was waking up in bed, I swear I felt the little flutters of a baby. It could all be in my head, or I could be feeling it. They say that second time round you are more aware of what to look out for movement wise. Could this be it?xx

Enjoy07 · 27/08/2020 06:55

Hello :) I have been reading all your messages over the last 6 weeks or so which have kept me going through the most horrific sickness - I was in bed for 5 weeks but the last week I seem to have one good day followed by a few bad ones! Fingers crossed I have more good days coming!

I had my 12 week scan yesterday and it was amazing, I had to go on my own but my husband waited in the car for me and just knowing he was there made things a little less nerve wracking. All the people I saw were especially nice and I’m not sure if that’s because we have to do it alone at the minute but they talked me through everything and didn’t keep me waiting at all. The wait for my 12 week scan seemed forever but it was so worth it x

GreysLove · 27/08/2020 08:10

@ flodostill so sorry for what you're going through, lots of love and healing x.

@krj2608 thanks birthday twin, hope you had a good day yesterday? I had my scan at 1pm at the EPU and all was fine. Saw the little fluttering heartbeat and it jiggling around, unbelievable! We both cried with relief and headed straight to tell my mum.

I'm measuring 8+5 rather than 9+5 from LMP, but looking back I usually ovulate 3w after AF so that makes sense. That takes me into an April 2 due date (tbc at 12w scan), but hope it's ok I stick around here? They're going to send me out a new scan date as on 14 sept I'll only be 11+3 which is a tad early for the dating scan so looks like I'll be one of the last in the group getting scanned. Will see if next post will let me share the pic...

Dipsy77 · 27/08/2020 09:54

Morning all,
I'm so annoyed with my Midwife's/hospital it's driving me crazy.
I was referred to a hospital out of boundary on the 6th august. I didn't hear anything for 2 weeks so rang last Thursday to be told they didn't have my details. Tried to get hold of my midwife but had no joy was told she was on holiday. Spoke to a different midwife who told me she would resend the referral and to ring the hospital in a weeks time.
I rung the hospital this morning and yes they had my details but my booking in is booked for when I'm 12.5 weeks next Friday and my scan for the 22nd September when I'll be over 15 week.
The lady I spoke to said she was on her own in a department of 5 usually and she couldn't understand why they have booked it so late.
I told her it was twins too and she said I would have to go to a different hospital 10 mins away who specialise in twins for all my appointments.
She said she will look into it but will need to speak to the lady who booked the appointment to find out why she did it so late !!!. She said she will ring me back tomorrow. She said she thinks they have put in the wrong due date .
I'm so annoyed I just want a 12 week scan nearer 12 week, surely it's obvious it's a mistake so why can't she sort it !!,
My midwife is still on holiday but I'm going to ring the other midwife tomorrow when she is in and ask her to ring them and sort it out for me because it's really stressing me out. I'm 11+2 today so should be having my scan in next couple of weeks x

holb54 · 27/08/2020 10:17

@Enjoy07 and @GreysLove congrats on your scans! 💐

@Dipsy77 that's ridiculous, I'd be so mad at that whole situation! My 12 week scan is when I'm 13 weeks exactly (although think I'm a bit behind that if you count in an irregular period) and I thought that that was too long! Hope you get it sorted, keep at them

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 27/08/2020 10:20

Morning everyone!

@Sussexbysea I am feeling flutters the last few days too, I am 11+3 and this is my second pregnancy.

@Enjoy07 I can sympathise with you, I am in the stage of spending 20+ hours a day in bed, it's absolutely horrendous. With my 1st pregnancy (8yrs ago) I was vomiting the entire 9 months but didn't feel half as ill as I am now and this is "just" nausea, there is just no relief 😢😓 I got meds from the doctor but they make me feel awful and don't relieve the nausea enough to make it worthwhile taking them.

@Dipsy77 how frustrating!! 🤯 I would phone whichever midwife is available and tell them that you need it sorted out by 5pm today because it is stressing you out which isn't good 😣 I am also 11+3 today and my scan is on 7th September.

spierse · 27/08/2020 10:22

@Enjoy07 congratulations on your scan I bet that's such a relief and glad you are finally feeling better finally, i had another onslaught of morning sickness last night, it woke me up at 1am and I felt like death, also had some pretty crazy dreams felt like watching a movie in my sleep 😆
@Dipsy77 just keep on at them until they resolve you don't need the stress especially if you are having twins!!

Charlotte2020 · 27/08/2020 10:25

I had my 12 week scan today- seems a bit more real now! I can finally relax a bit!

There are only 2 Midwife's at my go surgery one is in hol and the other is part time I they have clinics Tuesday and Friday so I can only speak to her tomorrow, I will definitely pass it over to her and tell her to resolve it though I've had enough of it all xx

holb54 · 27/08/2020 10:35

@Charlotte2020 congrats on your scan too, they're lovely clear pictures! 💜

@spierse I've been getting really vivid dreams on and off (always horrible ones) and I usually never dream much at night!

Enjoy07 · 27/08/2020 10:39

@ChubbyMumFromSkye I’m so sorry you’re going through it, how far along are you? There is literally no relief from the nausea, even when I was actually sick the relief didn’t come either. Are you wearing travel sickness bands? I’ve always had bad motion sickness and they do help slightly- although not enough to get out of bed from weeks 6-11! Fingers crossed for you feeling better soon xx

@spierse oh no! The sickness would often wake me up through the night too- absolutely horrific! I think a lot of people have more vivid dreams through pregnancy too, I’ve had one or two but luckily they were funny ones! Such a relief to have my scan, I was tempted to go private but actually glad I held off in the end! Xx

@Charlotte2020 lovely pics!! Congratulations to you! Xx
