@Mercuryfreddie that's brilliant news, so delighted for you 💓 Rest up now and plenty of relaxing

DSP21 · 03/09/2020 14:12

@MrsAndMrs if it relieves the anxiety even for just one day, it's worth it! I can't remember what it was like to be carefree 😂

holb54 · 03/09/2020 14:13

@MrsAndMrs I've my scan Monday as well, I'm dreading it yet it can't come quick enough!

@Mrs1989 glad I'm not the only one gagging brushing my teeth, it's so horrible 🤢

Phie04 · 03/09/2020 14:16

@chloxhunt when is your scan? Are you having bloods done whilst there or before? It could be low iron as its very common but if you get palps anyway it may just be hormones!

spierse · 03/09/2020 14:16

@Mercuryfreddie so so happy for you, go catch up on your rest you must be shattered.

@chloxhunt I use it and it has worked for me. But then people told me that nausea bands worked for them and they literally had zero impact for me so everyone has different experiences with these non drug products, hope you find something that works, the headaches can be killer

aureliacecilia · 03/09/2020 14:17

Super news @Mercuryfreddie!

Your 3 and 4 year olds must be close in age @NoGinNotComingIn. Hats off to you!

MrsAndMrs · 03/09/2020 14:21

@DSP21 you and me both! 😂 waiting for that relaxed pregnant glow to start......😂

@holb54 I can't wait! I wish we had a little window to check in on them anytime we needed to!

Csj123 · 03/09/2020 14:24

@Mercuryfreddie very pleased for you!

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 14:25

@Phie04 I'm having mine done whilst I'm there which is handy as it means I don't have to have more hospital visits, I'm just hoping it's not the fact that my heart might not be coping with the pregnancy but if my doctors thought they'd need to see me sooner I'd of had an appointment by now so who knows but I've been feeling really tired to like I have to have naps so hoping it's low iron as that's safer lok

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 14:25

@spierse yeah it's not getting rid of my headaches at all I might try a nausea band and see if that helps!

Phie04 · 03/09/2020 14:48

@chloxhunt it does sound like pregnancy symptoms to me as I nap most days too. I can barely keep my eyes open in the afternoon when watching something on the tv! I would just mention it to them when you go for your scan as they might want to do extra tests to make sure you aren't at risk!

ChilternsHan · 03/09/2020 15:06

@chloxhunt when my friend was pregnant she had terrible headaches that wouldn't shift and it turned out to be low iron causing them. Not to self diagnose or anything but if you've been struggling to stomach much and feeling tired too then it could be the culprit!

ChilternsHan · 03/09/2020 15:08

@Mercuryfreddie congratulations! Pleased to hear you got on well.

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 15:19

@Phie04 yeah maybe but if I don't have a nap I'll be very ill

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 15:20

@ChilternsHan ah yeah who knows! I haven't been eating much red meat either as I've gone off of it so the only iron I've been taking is in my pregnacare

Phie04 · 03/09/2020 15:29

@chloxhunt well I thought pregnacare would be enough because I have gone off things too... but obviously it's not enough for me 🤣🤣

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 15:33

@Phie04 I guess it's because it's a substitute so they don't give you the amount you actually need incase you eat things with iron in😂

CazWte · 03/09/2020 15:45

Thinking of everyone with their scans, I was so anxious but all was fine and I'm now 14 weeks 😃 How is everyone's stomachs looking? I look bloody massive already and this is my first pregnancy! Full on in maternity wear now, bye bye skinny clothes until next year! Haha!

Phie04 · 03/09/2020 16:50

@CazWte I don't have a bump yet and no hardness but my belly looks bigger. Not sure if its bloat or all the crap I've been eating 😅

Sussexbysea · 03/09/2020 16:51

So, I had the scan and baby is alive and kicking but... there’s more fluid than they would like on it’s neck which usually indicates a syndrome of some sort. I’m in pieces, I broke down and don’t know what was said. Thank god my other half was there.

I live on the south coast and have an emergency appointment tomorrow morning at St George’s to see their fetal medicine team where I’ll be scanned again to recheck the measurement and go from there. They’ll be doing a non invasive test on my placenta too.

This is all I know. Baby looked perfect, fingers, toes, brain, face etc but this fluid has put a brakes on my whole experience. It could be something or it could be nothing. Please, pray that this is nothing. If you’ve ever been in my shoes, let me know. I’m currently heartbroken

CazWte · 03/09/2020 16:56

@Phie04 haha mine is probably half caused by choc and crisps tbh!!

chloxhunt · 03/09/2020 16:57

@CazWte my size 4 work trousers no longer fit and I'm 11 weeks 😂

CazWte · 03/09/2020 16:57

@Sussexbysea ah I am so sorry to hear that. Sending you big virtual hugs.

CazWte · 03/09/2020 16:58

@chloxhunt jealous you were ever a size 4!!! Hahah

DSP21 · 03/09/2020 16:58

@Sussexbysea I'm sorry to hear it all wasn't the best news but here's hoping it's absolutely nothing and baby is doing fine. I haven't been through this before but hopefully baby moving around in there is a sign they're doing okay. I'll be praying for you x
