Two week wait

Anyone else on their two week wait?? I’m so impatient. Though I’m not sure how much of a chance we have this month. I ovulated really early this month for me, I regularly ovulate around day 19/20 but this cycle indicates I ovulated day 16. Did the deed two days before ovulation and I track my bbt and had a rise this morning. Just nervous as we had a chemical loss in June and we didn’t try in July so just would like these two weeks to go very quickly!

Hey,

Yeah I'm on the countdown and getting very impatient now. Over the last few months I had my fingers crossed and was hoping for it, but this time around I've had a few small early symptoms and this is the first time that's happened, in my head I'm already pregnant lol so I'm going to be so disappointed if I'm not. The wait is never ending!! On my app I had a medium chance of getting pregnant. I'm nervous now, this is the first time since we started that I've had a few early symptoms but what if I'm imagining it, or making something out of nothing. I'll know on the 25th but it's so long to wait.

Em2210 · 19/08/2020 09:54

Eeekk! Less that a week to go! Fingers crossed!! How many dpo are you? What symptoms have you been having? I wasn’t meant to be fertile at all but if I have ovulated early I may have been. I haven’t done any LH tests this month so just a guessing game. (Hubby away for work now so no option to try again)

Ooooh that's exciting, so your waiting it out on your own at the moment? I can't imagine, it's hard enough when your support system is there. Two weeks can feel like a lifetime!

Only a few symptoms that could be anything, but when I put them all together I might be pregnant. I've started getting headaches (I usually never get them), I'm tired and by 8.00 pm I'm exhausted, like I've stayed up way past my bedtime, and hungrier before mealtimes too. I've also been getting twinges in my abdomen. It's either a UTI or I'm pregnant lol. Yesterday I was convinced I was pregnant, but today I'm not so sure. It's a rollercoaster.

Please tell me your going through this too! When are you planning to do a test?

Em2210 · 19/08/2020 14:27

Yeah on my own at the moment, although have my little boy to keep me busy. Are you trying for your first? All sounds promising! Not going through it yet (but I will no doubt) as literally would have ovulated yesterday so not likely to get anything sort of symptoms for at least a week. When do you plan to test?

Sarahck · 19/08/2020 17:16

Yeah, trying for our first so it's a new experience. How old is your boy, he'll be excited to be a big brother! I plan to test on the 25, in the evening if I can wait that long long, and don't get my period too of course.

Em2210 · 19/08/2020 21:33

Awh amazing! He’s nearly 2. Ahh very exciting! Don’t be disheartened if you don’t get a positive on the evening, first thing in the morning is more accurate as I’m sure you know. And do take a test a few days later if af doesn’t appear! I had quite a few negative tests before we got a positive

Hi ladies,
Hope you don't mind me joining in! My ttw is technically over, my period was due 3 days ago. I haven't tested yet because I've had some tummy cramps so assumed AF will start.
This is our first month ttc so trying not to get my hopes up! But I have had waves of really bad nausea for a week or so and have definately gone off the some things like red wine and peppers.
Do you think I should test or wait another week or so and see if AF arrives?

Em2210 · 20/08/2020 14:53

Ahhh exciting!! I would be testing! But that’s purely because I don’t have the patience to wait! Grin do you know when you should have ovulated?

OP posts:
Mugcake · 20/08/2020 15:06

so according to an online calculator my fertile window was 1st week of august and 6th/7th my most fertile days. We defo dtd on and around those days so potentially could be!
haha i'm so impatient too but know i'll be gutted if its negative! Also i don't know if having some tummy cramps is normal or if that just means i'm out this month? It's so confusing!

Em2210 · 20/08/2020 18:32

Oooo if you’re not sure when you ovulated I would definitely wait a little longer then! If you didn’t ovulate til the 9th? Or something like that? Then it will be a bit longer until you get a positive. Wait if you can bear it! I’m only on 2dpo and it’s already doing my head in 🤣

Hi guys , so last few months I have tested a few times purely out of hope even though technically speaking we weren't trying yet .

This month we have set let's go for it . My last period was on the 1st of august . When would be a good time to test ? I don't want to waste money and emotions on repeat negative tests so I would rather just wait until I am overdue but it's sooo hard especially as I work in a job with occupational hazards so I would like to know sooner than later if I am indeed pregnant . Sorry about the rambling

planningforlife · 21/08/2020 09:58

@Mugcake , please test so we can all be happy for you Smile, it sounds very promising

Em2210 · 21/08/2020 13:02

Hi lovely, completely depends when you ovulate really! Do you have regular 28 day cycles? Longer? Shorter? After ovulation, the egg needs chance to implant which takes 6-12 days you’ll only get a positive test a couple of days after implantation so when the hcg hormone has built up in time system.

I'm awake now with what feels like period pains and generally just feeling like AF is on her way . Also....

I did a test today :( of course it was a Big fat negative lol

Period due end of the month so it's about a weeks wait now

Em2210 · 22/08/2020 20:35

@planningforlife until AF is here you’re not out just yet! These are the slowest weeks ever!

planningforlife · 22/08/2020 20:54

@Em2210 , thank you , I just have to keep hopeful . I just feel really odd , lots of weird cramps , gurgling bowel sounds etc and a bit nauseous/heart burn type of feeling .

Surely it's too soon to feel any of that even if I was a pregnant?

Em2210 · 22/08/2020 21:00

@planningforlife I think some people can feel symptoms really early on. Just completely depends. Lots of early symptoms can be symptoms of AF on the way too. It’s so hard to tell!

Mugcake · 23/08/2020 09:37

Hi ladies, I bit the bullet and tested today -BFN. But still no AF and feel sick a lot. . .I'm so confused!! 🙈

planningforlife · 23/08/2020 10:40

@Mugcake , ahh I was so convinced you would have a positive test . Never mind give it a bit more time hun .

Is this your baby number one ?

Em2210 · 23/08/2020 11:33

@Mugcake Awhh how frustrating! How over due AF are you now?

OP posts:
Mugcake · 23/08/2020 11:55

@planningforlife I'd convinced myself too, so feeling a bit down now!
You're right though, we only started ttc last month, I guess I just got my hopes up!

Yes this'll be our first, so brand new to all this haha fingers crossed you get your BFP soon! :)

@Em2210 I got my dates a bit mixed up before (lockdown brain!) So AF was due 5 days ago. I have quite long cycles anuyway but this is ling even for me! My last AF started on 16th July! I think I might call the doctors tomorrow and see what they say

planningforlife · 23/08/2020 13:00

@Mugcake , have you come off contraception? Sometimes it takes a few cycles for things to go back to normal .

( I just did another test and ofcourse negative lol , i knew I should've have but it was a left over one from the twin pack I bought the other day so it was just sat there waiting to be used ):')

Mugcake · 23/08/2020 16:00

@planningforlife no, I haven't. . .honestly do not know what's going on in there this month! It's like as soon as we started ttc my body decided to chuck a spanner in the works haha

Oh god I know what you mean! The other test is just looking at me every time I go into the bathroom 🙈 I know I'm going to end up doing it too!

planningforlife · 23/08/2020 16:17

@Mugcake , aren't our bodies strange !

I have started to grow lots of body hair , weird periods which are really long (think almost 2 week long periods ) , shorter cycles etc which has me a bit worried about fertility, I am normally cool as a cucumber but my friend kept talking about early menopause!!Confused

Mugcake · 23/08/2020 19:18

@planningforlife omg that's not what you want to hear!

It sounds like maybe a hormonal thing? Have you been tested for pcos? A friend of mine had some similar symptoms and found out she had it. She's just welcomed her 3rd baby! So I wouldn't worry too much!
