Jomum2020 · 01/08/2020 11:13

Hey @Bellsx! My due date is the 23rd.
This is my second but my first was delivered by section at 36 weeks so this is “the most pregnant” I have been and I never laboured at all before so feeling slightly like a first time mum at this point!
I have been having lots of pains and niggles particularly the last few days, I’m guessing it could be the baby finally engaging. I am totally symptom spotting, I remember doing it to begin with to try and figure out if I was pregnant and now the symptom spotting is back!! Haha
How are you getting on, any signs? X

LuckyC27 · 01/08/2020 11:55

Hi!

Due on the 14th and FTM - no twinges or signs yet but getting to the uncomfortable stage so hoping it will be soon! Baby has some fluid on his kidneys so will need to be seen by neo natal team after birth so think that's also making me want time to hurry up so I can see him! At my 38 week appointment head was 2/5ths engaged but apparently that doesn't mean much 🤷🏻‍♀️ have you had any signs yet?

Rainbow714 · 01/08/2020 12:11

Hi im due on the 15th second child and another little girl. Had a few cramps and backache, ready for her to come now. We are fully prepared and excited although slightly nervous with labour again!

denbyellie · 01/08/2020 13:23

Due 19th little boy x

Jomum2020 · 01/08/2020 13:31

Has anyone written out any kind of birth plan?
How are the restrictions at your hospital with covid? It’s a strange time to be having a baby... not what we all imagined I’m sure.

vinoelle · 01/08/2020 13:46

FTM due 15th - altho feeling period type cramps etc today and can barely do much! Trying not to get carried away as likely doesn’t mean much. I’m also in complete denial about actually having a baby 😂

Bellsx · 01/08/2020 13:49

I have a DD who's 12 so a second time Mum with a little boy due on the 20th. I had my 36 week scan last Monday and he was estimated at 6lb 3 then and was 4/5ths engaged but he's been engaged since 34 weeks so I don't really think it means too much. Had a couple of braxton hicks (I think, can't really remember having them with my daughter 🤔) and a few period type crampy moments but not really feeling or experiencing anything else, my daughter was born at 38 weeks so hopefully he won't keep us waiting too long! We have everything ready from the nursery to hospital bags and I've just celebrated a special birthday and got back yesterday from a family holiday so he's welcome anytime now 😂 Regarding the current situation in my area my partner is only allowed in when I'm in established labour then can stay for a bit after so I'm really hoping I don't have to stay in, such surreal and not ideal times but there isn't anything we can do about it...we can do this!

I'm due on August 31st with my first. Can't believe it's August already!! Not feeling labour-y yet. I don't think I've had any Braxton Hicks. I'll officially be full term in two weeks, but she still seems too small in there to be born yet.

ChocoLover7 · 01/08/2020 14:36

FTM due on the 16th with a boy. Can't believe how quickly August has come around. I've been feeling some period-like cramps over the last week but I don't think it means anything. Hoping I don't go over my due date as I'm getting a bit fed up but baby is currently back to back so I'm praying he turns before labour!

vinoelle · 01/08/2020 16:20

@ChocoLover7 I have a back to back baby as well so I sympathise! She’s been that way for about 95% of the whole pregnancy (when we could tell) so I have little hope of her shifting now!!

Havlerr · 01/08/2020 18:11

FTM due on the 13th! I’ve had some BH and crampy type feelings at night times but not much more else. Baby was 3/5 engaged at my 38 week appointment earlier this week which is nice to hear but I know that it doesn’t really make a difference. I’m getting fed up, also covered in stretch marks and feeling really heavy so just want bub out now!! I’m having raspberry leaf tea tablets and have also just picked up some clary sage oil to use in the bath. Hoping it does something! Really cannot bear the thought of going over due tbh although I know babies come in their own time and all that haha

EssElsiee · 01/08/2020 18:12

Well I was a July baby (28th) but now 4 days overdue so he will be an august baby! Could come any day but I will be induced before the end of next week if not x

NLW91 · 01/08/2020 18:35

@LuckyC27 I’m due 14th as well 😊

ChocoLover7 · 01/08/2020 19:00

@vinoelle I hope both our babies turn the right way round before the big day!

Melbs6 · 01/08/2020 19:34

I’m due on the 21st August with a baby boy! I’m having period type cramps and have also had a bit of backache today but I’m totally symptom spotting. I’m so excited to meet him!

Jomum2020 · 01/08/2020 20:08

If anyone gets any promising signs you should try and update 😍 I’m so excited this is our month!!!
Has anyone been drinking raspberry leaf tea or similar old wives tales?
I was drinking the tea from 32 weeks (I heard it helps make your cervix more favourable, not drinking it to induce labour) I have switched to capsules now.
I bought some clary sage oil to add to my bath too but I’m planning on waiting another week to use that. I don’t usually believe in these sorts of things but I thought it was worth a go for the fun of it :)

MrsAmelia · 01/08/2020 22:56

Hi Ladies,
I also can’t believe it’s August already!
I’m having a c-section on the 28th. This is my third baby, and last, but I don’t feel any wiser 😁. I think I’m having a boy and this little monkey has been loving two positions, breech and transverse, during my whole second and now third trimesters. The turning and movements almost painful at times. Definitely looking forward to the day of delivery. I have been counting kicks and movements as baby has slowed down significantly of late. Went in for monitoring today but all seems fine, thankfully. 😍

Those of you who are delivering earlier this month - how exciting!! And exciting for the FTMs too ❤️❤️

maryd84 · 01/08/2020 23:10

Hi everyone,

My baby boy is due on 14 August. He will be my first baby. I've been getting period type pain and lower back pain for the past week. Also feeling a lot of pressure low down.

Hopefully I won't have to wait too much longer to meet baby😊

NLW91 · 02/08/2020 07:12

@maryd84 I’m a FTM to baby boy on 14th too 😊. So ready for him now, every little bit of back ache or tummy ache I think oooh is he coming! Just hope he doesn’t keep us waiting long!

vinoelle · 02/08/2020 07:45

Wow lots of us due within a few days of each other 14/15/16th! I think it’s supposed to be a full moon around that time so makes sense 😂

BabyG08 · 02/08/2020 08:05

FTM here due on the 11th! Past couple of days I’ve hit the struggle of period type pains, back pain and all round uncomfortableness. Really ready for little one to come now.
It’s nearly time ladies we’ve got this.

CherryCreme · 02/08/2020 08:16

I'm due on 15th August with a baby girl! FTM, was told at 36 weeks she was 2/5ths engaged and I've been having niggles, pains and strong braxton hicks for over a week now and I've given up any hope that anything is happening 🤣 I have everything ready now though so I hope it's not long, just need to move the crib into the bedroom when she arrives!

LuckyC27 · 02/08/2020 08:22

@vinoelle lots of baby's due around that time!

@NLW91 how exciting have you had any signs yet?

Has anyone been offered sweeps etc? I was suprised how late they offer these - my sweep is offered 4 days after due date and induction 12 days after due date 🥵 hopefully baby makes an appearance before then!

NLW91 · 02/08/2020 08:26

@LuckyC27 the other day I had lower cramps and was needing the loo a lot but it didn’t mount to anything! I get a few niggles but nothing spectacular, I’ve started on the birthing ball to try and coax him down 😂 I think if he’s not here still by 40 weeks when I go to my midwife appointment they will offer a sweep potentially but nothing has been said yet! How about you?

BabyG08 · 02/08/2020 09:14

@LuckyC27 I have a sweep booked on my due date x
