12 week scan nerves

My 12 week scan is tomorrow, and as with DC1, I’m now a bag of nerves

Not helping is the fact I have to go alone, not the end of the world but still would prefer DH to be there.

I had an early scan at 7 weeks but it still doesn’t take away the nerves. I will be like this again just before my 20 week scan.

Anyway else due this week and nervous?

@SpunBodgeSquarepants I had the same thing - 2mm too small so I have another one in 2 weeks. Have you told all your friends/family? We have told parents and siblings but were waiting until this to tell everyone else... not sure what to do now, I don't really want to wait another 2 weeks... Baby had a heartbeat and was wriggling like crazy though (and is 5mm bigger than on saturday)

@Poppyismyfavourite I think I'm going to tell people, baby had a good heartbeat and was flipping around all over the place! I'm feeling a lot more positive now.

@FriendsCallMeValerie 😂😂 cheeky little bub! I sobbed my heart out!! My due date is 6th Feb. It’s growing a bit ahead of my dates (and I tracked everything!!) I’m exactly 12 weeks today but it’s measuring 12w 5 days!

I’ve told a couple of people and getting a bit addicted to telling our news! I was going to keep it quiet for a bit longer (wait for the screening results) but it’s so hard! X

Christ! I’ve told everyone I’ve ever met By this point I really can’t see any harm and once you tell one or two people everyone gets to know anyone. (Someone tells someone else and so forth!)

Aww @MinesALatte I didn’t even cry when DD was born I did cry when she was 2 days old though because she yawned and my heart couldn’t handle it

Hey.. im at 8 weeks at the moment and i feel my sickness is starting to go which is worrying me too. I also feel nothing in my stomach area. May be paniking for nothing but might book an early private scan xx

aargh I want to tell people so much... it looked fine - all arms and legs present and wriggling like crazy...

My scan was perfect!
Peanut waved at us and was wriggling all over the place!

Due date has been brought forward by 2 days I am 12 weeks exactly today and due on 12th Feb 2021 😁

Here is our little peanut, anyone want to take a stab at a gender guess?

Now we’ve got about 7 weeks peace until we all start worrying about our 20 week scan

I have booked a gender scan for 4 weeks time so I won't feel too worried for the 20 week scan 🤞🏻

I'm feeling so much more relaxed now 😊

I've got a private scan tomorrow evening before my 12 week NHS one on Thursday 😅 so insanely nervous that something will be wrong, still getting nausea and fatigue so hoping that's a good sign 🙈

I have my 12 week scan on the 12th - I'm so anxious that all will be ok. I'm carrying twins and all was well at 9wk 3days though one a bit smaller than the other so really hoping he/she has caught up. Time seems to go so slowly when waiting for these scans doesn't it!! Xx

So true 😂😂 Mines the 21st September, when’s yours? It’s such a long way away!! Might have to do a private scan in between 😂😂

But I have booked a gender scan for the 30th of August 🙊

I’ve also got my consultant on the 1st September (ELCS) but don’t know if they scan there?

We didn’t find out the sex with DD and we really aren’t bothered this time but might do just so DH can come to a scan. Will change my mind constantly about this - I loved finding out at the birth last time but will it make a difference if I know earlier?

I’m more concerned about the weight of this baby. DD was HUGE!

Oh my god haha, that’s so spooky they’re on the same day again! Love that!

I’m meant to be consultant lead but have had no mention of seeing a consultant yet, FTM here so completely clueless. Should I chase? Midwife at booking in call said I’d see someone around 20 weeks!

I have nothing to gauge this on but worried mine is going to be huge too! Keeps growing ahead of my dates, I’ve already lost a week on my due date and I tracked everything, period, ovulation etc!

@MinesALatte I only got the date at the scan last week. Check your notes on the inside of the green outer folder (I assume they are all green ) there is a list of appointments and that’s where mine was. The midwife pointed it out to me. Along with my 16 week midwife appointment.

Can I ask why you’re consultant led for this pregnancy? It might be that if it’s for a different reason they do them later on but I’m no expert. If it’s not inside your notes, I would probably give them a ring to make sure it’s been booked.

In regard to size, there was no clue DD was massive until the surgeon lifted her up so try not to worry too much. I’m trying to convince myself that big babies are just luck of the draw and I’ve had mine now

@FriendsCallMeValerie ahh thank you! I’ve had a look and not there! I’m meant to call someone after 15 weeks which is to book in my 16 week call and then it just has the 20 week scan 🤷🏼‍♀️

The reason they said I’d be consultant led was medical reasons

I have my week 20 scan on 28th Aug. I get nervous before all scans and this is my 3rd!

@MinesALatte definitely give them a ring then - always worth a chase. At my booking in call the midwife said she would book the appointment straight after - and obviously did!
