Lots of love to you @Gummybear17 Flowers I hope you've someone at home to support you this afternoon. I'll be thinking of you. x

M4v3r1ck · 12/05/2021 16:39

Gutted for you @Gummybear17 💔💔💔

Gummybear17 · 12/05/2021 16:43

Thanks @M4v3r1ck @TTCat39 I had finally started to relax and it looks like the baby had stopped growing even before my appointment with MW last week. Still had such a strong PDT yesterday it's so unfair. I feel really lost as I only shared my news with you lovely ladies so grieving alone .

M4v3r1ck · 12/05/2021 17:44

@Gummybear17 it's so unbearably cruel! Your experience mirrors what happened to me at Christmas in that everything was fine and no issues, until the spotting appeared weeks later after growth stopped. 💔💔💔 I've not spoken to them myself, but some of the other women on an MC thread have recommended speaking with Tommy's - app they are really good and supportive!

Cannot send you enough love! 😔😔😔

TTCat39 · 17/05/2021 12:31

Hello ladies, just checking in to see how everyone is getting on. I'm 7+2 today, nausea is still raging but I've so far managed to keep everything down.
Had a surprise booking in appointment today - it was initially scheduled for 9+3, but they called last night to see if I could take the call this morning. All new to me, this being my first pregnancy. So if it helps anyone else I'm happy to share experience if it eases any anxiety about it.
I've booked a private early scan for this Friday, when I'll be 7+6. Just for curiosity sake really, and because I want to be sure I haven't just caught some horrendous sickness bug and there's actually something in there Grin

M4v3r1ck · 17/05/2021 14:08

Hey @TTCat39 I feel you! 😘 I've been feeling the nausea too, although mainly in the evenings for me! Thankfully not vomited yet! Been so exhausted though - I'm wiped out just walking, so worried about my fitness! 😳

Oh how did that appointment go? 😃 My first one is middle of next month - I actually go see the midwife this time for questionnaire, bloods etc, vs just over phone last time! Scan is booked for 01 July! Is your scan private?

I really wish I could relax though! Still so anxious! Got all my 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for us and for healthy happy babies!

M4v3r1ck · 17/05/2021 14:09

Sorry just saw you said private! 🤦🏻‍♀️ who is that with? Think I might be a bit early as I'm only 6 weeks!

Gummybear17 · 17/05/2021 14:20

@M4v3r1ck @TTCat39 happy to see all is still going well for you both. I am still lurking as I can't bring myself to leave just yet. It is also lovely to see how you ladies are getting on. I really hope I will be able to join you again soon . I really am not looking forward to the OPK sticks and the TWW ! I was also super excited to put away the sanitary towels ( wishful thinking I've gone through a tonne of them and was ill prepared!) xx

TTCat39 · 17/05/2021 14:34

Hi @Gummybear17 I really hope it isn't too long before you get a sticky bean too. Also hope that the bleeding stops soon - you speak very bravely about it all, and I can only imagine how awful it must really be. Sending you all the love and glad you'll be keeping in touch.

@M4v3r1ck My sickness is worst in the evenings too. Well, from about 4pm onwards it's really bad. The rest of the day it's just, bad! I couldn't face looking at food last night at all. I finally ate something by making sure I couldn't smell it or see if before it went into my mouth! Essentially asking my husband to make me a little sandwich and then taking a deep breath and diving in. So I've been more prepared today - I felt as close to normal as I have been when I'd had a bit of lunch just now, so I clipped a peg on my nose and prepped some dinner! What a sight! I'm in the other room with the door shut while a pan of sausages and vegetables bakes in the oven. Peg going back on in a bit so that I can take it out!

And yes, the fatigue! I've had to halt the running for now - although I can still do it, it wipes me out for the rest of the day and I'm fit for nothing work-wise or otherwise. I'm also struggling to get my fluids, so sweating it out can't help.

Yes, private scan. Booked it with ultrasound-direct as there's one a couple of miles from me. It's £70. They seem to be country-wide. At the moment my main concern about it is making sure I have the full bladder required. Necking a pint of water an hour beforehand is easier said than done at the moment and I don't want to lose it on my way over there!

M4v3r1ck · 17/05/2021 19:33

@Gummybear17 sending you much love! I hope the bleeding stops soon and you'll be back here with a sticky healthy BFP! 🤞🏻

@TTCat39 wow can definitely tell you're a week ahead of me with those symptoms! I've noticed the food and smell aversions starting to kick in for me now! 🙊 Good to know re: scan and please keep me posted! 😃

I really need to try and relax more, but I'm just so paranoid every time I go to the toilet! I've had cramping and increased discharge, and it keeps making me think the worst! 😳

M4v3r1ck · 17/05/2021 19:35

Btw anyone still using BBT? I'm not sure if it's making me worse checking this every day, especially since I've got a blocked nose and potentially mouth breathing! 🤷🏻‍♀️

TTCat39 · 20/05/2021 10:34

I didn't carry on with BBT @M4v3r1ck too stressful for me!

I've booked an early scan for tomorrow. I'm really fretting about having to drink a pint of water beforehand in order to have a full bladder. Yes I know that sounds like the least of my worries, but it took me until 4pm yesterday to get through that much water - any liquids make me feel so full that I struggle to keep it down. I haven't actually vomited yet with this pregnancy nausea but I'm giving myself lockjaw, headaches and my heart is constantly racing whilst I try and keep everything in that I do manage to consume. It's 10.30ish tomorrow, so I've been trying to see how much I can get in this morning - I've managed half a pint over the course of 2.5hrs and I'm having to sit really still to keep it in. I think I'll have to get up early and just sip sip sip until I get it in there. Might have to do it in the actual carpark so that I don't risk losing it with car sickness!

At least it's taking my mind off the actual scan a little.

M4v3r1ck · 20/05/2021 20:44

@TTCat39 I hope everything goes well tomorrow!!!! Sending you so much positivity and good vibes! Please keep us updated! 😘

Oh Lordy I know what you mean, I'm pissing constantly! 🙈 but I drink tons of water anyway! Is it necessary to have the full pint? Can you even leave drinking most of it until you're there?

TTCat39 · 21/05/2021 11:09

Thanks @M4v3r1ck ! Just back from the early scan and everything seems fine so far! Yay! I'm actually a bit further along than I thought - measuring at 8weeks 5days Smile It was so wonderful to see. Turns out I have a fibroid too, which I didn't know about. I don't know much about them so I'm going to do a bit of research. My husband instantly asked if that's why I get so angry Confused ha!

M4v3r1ck · 21/05/2021 11:22

Amazing news @TTCat39 😍😍😍😍😍 what a massive relief!!!!

I think fibroids are quite common? Unless I'm thinking of something else... 🤔

TTCat39 · 21/05/2021 11:44

Yes @M4v3r1ck I've been googling and apparently 70-80% of women have a fibroid by the time they reach age 50. The sonographer measured it at 4cm, which sounds massive to me but apparently they aren't considered large until they get to grapefruit size 😮

M4v3r1ck · 21/05/2021 12:28

Grapefruit size? Flipping heck where's that going! 🙈

So so so happy everything went ok! Are you relieved not to be drinking a ton of water? 😂

TTCat39 · 24/05/2021 12:26

How are you getting on @M4v3r1ck ? I'm in to week 9 now! I am tentative to say it, but the nausea seems to be getting a bit more manageable. Still exhausted but I managed a really busy day yesterday without biting anyone's head off or having to slope off for a lie down.
I've got a blood and urine test on Thursday with the midwife team, so I'm going to mention the fibroid then, see what heir advice is. Apparently they need to be monitored to make sure they don't block the uterus.

ImpatientTTCer · 25/05/2021 11:19

Ladies, may I join you?

I should probably wait a few more days as I’m only 12DPO today, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

I’m 3-4 weeks as my last period was 24/4, but I didn’t ovulate until about 13/5 - CD20/21. The apps are telling me 28/1-3/2 so I’m going to aim for the 2nd February because that’s a nice date 😂 (2.2.22)

I’m not sure if my symptoms are psychosomatic at the moment or if they’ve just started very early! Non stop cramping, bloating, nausea, so much saliva, metallic taste....

Let’s see if it sticks 🤞🥰

How are you all doing today? Xxx

TTCat39 · 25/05/2021 17:02

Hi @ImpatientTTCer Congratulations! It's lovely when someone new comes along.

The metallic taste is something I've been struggling with these past few days. I can't stomach my beloved cups of Decaf Yorkshire tea because it seems to magnify it! I'm drinking hot water with lemon to try and get rid of it, to no avail.

We're you trying for long? Either way I bet you're absolutely thrilled to have seen that line!

ImpatientTTCer · 25/05/2021 18:49

@TTCat39 thank you!!

Let me know if you find a solution for the metallic taste! I’ve been lucky in so far as it’s masked by food and drink but just returns an hour or so later.

This was actually our first month trying, so we’re a bit shocked and rather scared about all the things that could go wrong. We thought we’d just start “now” as it would probably take a few months (if it happened at all) so better to start earlier rather than later! I was so convinced that it wouldn’t happen for ages that I bought the world’s tightest wedding dress (for August) and now I’m going to have to have a scary conversation with the seamstress. 😂

I’ve booked a private scan for 6 weeks because I’m a worrier (I’m also addicted to POAS). Every morning my FRER is lighter than when I do one at night - which makes NO sense as my urine is much more dilated. Starting to get v faint positives on cheap stick tests now, which is exciting!

M4v3r1ck · 26/05/2021 14:25

Hey ladies! 😃

Welcome @ImpatientTTCer! 😃 I didn't realise you were getting married in august too - how exciting! 😃 don't worry I think I've had every symptom under the sun! My main ones are fatigue and nausea!

@TTCat39 glad the nausea is easing up, and definitely mention the fibroid to the midwife! They'll then advise on best course of action! 😃

Although my appointment isn't until 14 June, I phoned the midwife for a quick chat. My covid vaccine letter came through, so I'm going to wait on that for now. I also chatted to her about my general anxiety cos of my previous MMC, and she was great - told me to think positive and if I really want to, I could get a private scan. I'm just not sure tbh as I'm only 7+5 or 6!

ImpatientTTCer · 27/05/2021 13:51

@M4v3r1ck Thank you!!

Do you think you’ll get a private scan? I found there was a huge range of prices (I’m in London). Harley Street mainly £150+, but I found a not-too-dodgy looking one for £70 in Croydon so went with that 😂

What was their advice to you about the vaccine? I’m pretty sure too nervous to have mine done until 12 weeks as I don’t want to do anything to overwhelm my body during such a delicate time, but everyone is now asking me daily if I’ve booked it yet 😩😩 I’m running out of excuses! I might just have to start lying soon, and tell people that I’ve done it already.

TTCat39 · 27/05/2021 14:12

Hi @ImpatientTTCer I had my early scan with ultrasound-direct.com and it was great - hey seem to have clinics in the London area too.

The mouth taste persists! But since I can stomach a larger variety of food and drinks now I'm finding things to lessen it. Menthol chewing gum and sugar free lemonade seem to be doing the trick at the moment.

I had my first midwife appointment today - she is ever so nice and I told her so 😂 I was quite concerned about getting some very ethereal being who was going to tell me to cherish this magical time...while I'm all bloated and sickly and feeling like rubbish. It would go down even less well with me during labour! But I was relieved to find her very down to earth and straight talking.

TTCat39 · 27/05/2021 14:15

@M4v3r1ck I found out I was 8+5 at my early scan and I was really pleased there was so much to see. It was very exciting and made it all real for me, I'd definitely recommend it. My dating scan isn't until I'm 13+2 so I didn't want to wait that long!
