Oh wow!! Congratulations to all the new mama’s! This is getting very real now.

@MrsHJFL my due date is the same as yours and I’ve started getting some back ache and crampy twinges but brushed them off as I still have a month to go. I’m glad your baby is healthy and well despite being early!!

sel2223 · 30/07/2020 07:53

Congratulations to the new mummies on your beautiful babies.....it's been a busy few days of arrivals on this thread!
Hope you're all doing well xx

Rainbow714 · 30/07/2020 09:20

Aww congratulations to all you mummies, hopefully not long till my turn. 37+5 for me now with no signs of the our little lady coming yet!

WeeScottishWife · 30/07/2020 10:01

Due date today... it feels like the baby has wriggled around to a really strange angle compared to normal, my bump is firm & soft in all different places to normal! Doesn't particularly feel like she's going to come today, but it's due to be really hot here today & husband wants to watch football this evening so it would be typical if baby does choose this afternoon!

JMill13 · 30/07/2020 10:31

@weescottishwife haha imagine it happened right on kick off 😂 fingers crossed you don't have too long to wait

1Jayne · 30/07/2020 14:21

Congratulations everyone with new babies. Hearing all your stories makes it all feel so real.
I had my 38 week appointment this morning and was told baby's head is now well down but I've had no signs of it coming yet, not even any Braxton hicks yet. Still got some things to do before it arrives so hope it stays out for a little longer Smile

sezzywoowoo21 · 30/07/2020 15:14

Baby arrived on Tuesday at 37+3 weighing 5lbs 5oz. We are both still in hospital as he isn't feeding and just sleeps all the time but he has a ng tube fitted now to let him rest and I hope we'll be home soon

@Mammyofasuperbaby Aww congratulations! I hope you can both head home soon

MaisieMolly · 30/07/2020 18:58

Just catching up, wow lots of babas born now. Congratulations everyone! I’m due next week but it still feels a while off, first baby so think I’ll go overdue. Not sure about whether to ask for a sweep at my 40 week appointment, what do people think about having that before you’re overdue? X

sel2223 · 30/07/2020 19:05

@Mammyofasuperbaby aww another one too impatient to wait for August!
Congratulations!
I'm loving reading about all the arrivals this week

sel2223 · 30/07/2020 19:07

@MaisieMolly it's such a personal choice (and not one I have to content with but, if it was me,I would ask for a sweep as I would rather things got on their way naturally than end up having to be induced.
I've heard some ladies end up with 2 or 3 sweeps over a period of time so it doesn't mean immediate labour but it can help things get on the way.

WeeScottishWife · 30/07/2020 21:33

@Mammyofasuperbaby congratulations! I hope you're both able to go home soon.

@MaisieMolly personally, I've got my 40 week appointment tomorrow, and although I'm able to get a stretch & sweep then if I'd like, I'm not going to go for it yet. I don't know if I'll still feel the same if I make it to the 41 week appointment though.

Hertsmama9 · 30/07/2020 22:21

@MaisieMolly I had a sweep at my 39 week appointment with my last pregnancy and ended up with my waters breaking at 40 weeks but no contractions came on so I had to be induced anyway. This time I’m hoping to avoid any sweeps, but no idea how I’ll feel once I actually reach 40 weeks.

Camia · 30/07/2020 23:22

@MaisieMolly I had a sweep at 38 weeks but at that point he'd been engaged for 2 weeks already with irregular contractions so I was really ready to move things along, I was pretty miserable and we knew he was ready to go. Not sure if I would've done it otherwise though, I probably would've waited to be overdue. I went into labor 4 days later so I'm sure it helped things, but I've also known of people who get nothing out of it so it's definitely not a guarantee

Sassy14 · 31/07/2020 15:41

Hi everyone,
We are due our first baby in 2 weeks time and have bought the SMA Pro Ready to Feed formula bottles with the teats ready for the hospital. It says on the boxes they are to be stored between 4-25 degrees but our room thermometer has gone past this around 26.5 with all the heat today! We put a fan in the room to keep it all cool (we have found another spot in the house which is slightly cooler and now at the right temp), is this still safe to use for baby? Please can anyone provide any advice? Thank you

NamiSwan · 31/07/2020 18:33

Congratulations to all the new mums!

I had my 40 week appointment yesterday and opted for a sweep. I was in two minds but had had cramps overnight two nights before so wondered if things were happening. She said cervix was closed, so I was not very hopeful, but lost some of my plug today and have been cramping on/off since 3pm. So fingers crossed things get moving. Have sent the kids to the in laws just in case, and if nothing happens then at least me and DH get a lie in 🤣

Liverpool20 · 01/08/2020 12:00

The milk will be fine, same here! With my first baby I took the same pack into hospital but the nurses gave me them anyway so the pack didn’t end up getting used. We are due in 2 weeks as well with second IVF baby 🥰 xx

Liverpool20 · 01/08/2020 12:01

How are you getting on? I’ve been offered a sweep at my next appointment when I’ll be 39 weeks but I’m in two minds whether to or not. Might just see how I’m coping by then x

sezzywoowoo21 · 01/08/2020 12:32

Well had sweep Thursday 39+3days nothin of it but woke this morning lost a lot of mucus plug now got cramps and backache could this be the beginning??i doubt it lol xxx

Newmama29 · 01/08/2020 13:44

KittyKat2020 · 01/08/2020 16:11
