Name changed for this.

Please tell me I'm imagining this!! I think I can see a faint line so enhanced the pic and definitely something there. Please tell me it's a false alarm! I have 4 and my husband had the snip a year ago. I've not been with anyone else so bound to be a false alarm yes????

What is the most accurate test available?

My period is all over the place anyway so can't tell anything from that.

Pleas help me. I'm freaking out.

Yes I can see a line...

whitetoblerone · 16/07/2020 21:27

Maybe taking another test will help, see what you get on that. However, from what I've heard before, false positives are quite rare.

I hope you're ok.

ForeverHomeSearcher · 16/07/2020 21:44

I can just about see it. First response early years are the most sensitive. You can Amazon prime them.

Zara1234uk · 16/07/2020 22:03

My first couple tests were like that until I got my digital. I’m now 23 weeks. I hope your ok x

Elouera · 16/07/2020 22:11

Is that a one step cheapy from amazon? I'd be cautious. I had 'positives,' on the one step, then read about multiple other false results with that brand. I was also pregnant, confirmed by a scan and seeing a heartbeat, yet those one step cheapies only just showed a positive.

I'd suggest testing with an early test to check for sure. best of luck you get the result you'd like x

MrsN2121 · 16/07/2020 22:24

I can't see anything on the pics that are unedited. Your husband had the snip - did he do the follow up appointments to check it had worked? Good luck with whatever happens.

pufflingmuffin · 17/07/2020 07:43

Thank you all for your responses.

Cried at my DH until he went out to get me a test last night. He came back with clearblue digital and it said not pregnant. As did the repeat test this morning.

To answer the poster who asked about the vasectomy. He had it last June. He never went for the follow ups! It was one of those things that just kept getting rebooked until eventually we didn't chase it up anymore.

Interestingly, the CB test says that menopause can produce false positives? I wonder if it might be that? I've been having repeated positive LH tests (the only reason I took the pregnancy test in the first place! I read it can be an indicator of early pregnancy and wanted to categorically rule it out)

It appears my hormones are all over the place!

Thank you again for all your responses. I really appreciate it.

Mynotsoperfectlittlefamily · 17/07/2020 08:51

The clearblue tests can be false negatives as the have to have quite high HCG levels, especially the digital.
Would definitely get a first response as they are much more sensitive.
Hope you get the answer you want x

Queenbee95 · 17/07/2020 09:18

Would recommend your husband going for a check up anyway. My OH friend has just became pregnant, her OH had a vasectomy and he didn’t follow up, turns out it reversed itself!

EllieJai44 · 17/07/2020 09:26

If your hubby never went for the check ups then he won't have been cleared and confirmed that the vasectomy actually worked!

The digitals require higher HCG level so you may just be too early still, I'd test again in a few days!

pufflingmuffin · 17/07/2020 09:46

Yes, I've just read that the one step detects hgc in 10mg and CB in 25mg. I've done another one step and there is another extremely faint line.

I last had a period on 27/6 and that was my first in over a year. I'm still breastfeeding my youngest. So I really don't know head nor tail where I am with potential conception.

I am annoyed with myself that I didn't insist him to have the follow up. We're clearly extremely fertile people as we both have children from previous relationships and had our two in quick succession.

I've naively assumed it was failsafe after over a year.

I've ordered a First Response Early Detection that is sensitive to hgc in 6.5mg so will test again and probably take that result as the most accurate.

Not going to lie, I have my fingers crossed that it's hormonal and indicative of early menopause.

Thank you all again. I can't speak to anyone in real life.

Hopefully combined with you breastfeeding and his vasectomy it’s just a hormonal thing for you this time, I hope your first response gives you the desired result. I’m part of a ttc group and those one step are notorious for faint lines only for people to have their period. Good luck

pufflingmuffin · 17/07/2020 10:25

3rd test. There is definitely something there isn't there? I'm not going mad??

Fuck.

Please help me!!!

Queenbee95 · 17/07/2020 10:27

I can see a line on that one

Zara1234uk · 17/07/2020 10:37

Yeah definitely.. darker than the others anyway

BabyB19 · 17/07/2020 10:58

I can also see a line! I think (for my sake 🤣🤣) you should try and get to a boots and pick a FRER up today, I don't know if my nerves can wait until the other ones are delivered so I don't know how yours will! Good luck OP whatever the outcome x

2020wish · 17/07/2020 11:22

I can see it... and don’t mean to be bearer of bad news but my friend has an adorable 9 year old now that was the product of a failed vasectomy. Best of luck xx

Girls3maybe4 · 17/07/2020 14:45

I can see it op!

pufflingmuffin · 17/07/2020 17:00

So after what feels like eternity the Amazon prime guy delivered my FRERs

There is definitely a faint line. It's incredibly light but it's there.

That's in addition to the 3 positive One Steps and also obviously not the first urine of the day. If I actually am pregnant, I'm extremely early on (LMP 27/06/20)

Shit.

Please help me!!!
OP posts:
BabyB19 · 17/07/2020 17:16

Oh crap I can definitely see that. How has your OH reacted? I suppose the only thing to do is test again in a few days and see if it gets darker. If not get a drs app booked and see what the craic is x

BabyB19 · 17/07/2020 17:18

Just to add though I've had several very clear indents on them tests so it's not necessarily a BFP, but added to the fact you have had another couple of ICs with lines it's not really likely they would all be false positives it is?! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Zara1234uk · 17/07/2020 17:18

Yeah I see the fr line too, with colour.. I hope you are ok! I know it’s Friday (how annoying) maybe book a gp app on Monday to have your blood drawn? And yes as poster above suggested re test in few days maybe using first morning urine.

pufflingmuffin · 17/07/2020 17:42

DH is in shock and disbelief. He will support me whatever happens but he's not exactly pleased (neither am I)

Our DC are only 2 & 1 yrs old, in addition to our older kids from previous.

We're in shock.

I can't imagine 4 false positives are wrong unless there is something else at play.

It would appear I'm either...
A) pregnant
B) have a tumour
C) early menopause (I'm 37)

Hoping for C I suppose?! What do I even say to the doctor??

OP posts:
pufflingmuffin · 17/07/2020 17:43

Also have another FRER to use in the morning. So will update with the results of that as well for those interested.

Thank you for the support.

BabyB19 · 17/07/2020 18:11

There are still options available OP, even if you are you have the peace of mind that you are still really early so you have time for it to settle in and discuss your options with OH. First things first get him booked in for a follow up and check that sperm count! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
