£12.50!!! I'm sure with previous DC it was a few quid and that wasn't that long ago although different hospital this time.

I know I know it's a medical check not a photo shoot but this seems an excessive charge.

Also may be focussing on this to get over nerves about scan. Not sure why so nervous this time just getting older.

wow! that's expensive. £6 at mine. is it a normal. nhs hospital? it's like they're trying to put you off!

VeggieSausageRoll · 28/06/2020 21:25

£12 two years ago for each digital download at my hospital 2 years ago. Wouldn't mind if it went back in to the hospital but it doesn't, it's some third party company

Eyre89 · 28/06/2020 21:26

They were £5 each at mine. Both times 6 years apart. And they have given me extras both times. I didn't realise it varied from hospital to hospital? Is it NHS?

sel2223 · 28/06/2020 21:26

£10 for 3 at my hospital but they've been giving them for free during the pandemic.

SamSeabornforPresident · 28/06/2020 21:27

They didn't change at either of mine, and they gave me loads.

icedaisy · 28/06/2020 21:28

No charge for me. I think for a while you could give a donation, but nothing this time when I went.

starsinyourpies · 28/06/2020 21:45

Seems very variable then, it's a standard large NHS hospital as was previous hospital. I assume they just get some company to provide this service but it must be an unnecessary stretch for a lot of parents.

Wow ours were £18 for 3!

Chl00 · 28/06/2020 22:04

£5 each for mine

DailyKegelReminder · 28/06/2020 22:21

£2 at my last scan earlier this year.

My pregnancy in 2018 it was free for 3 photos, if you wanted anymore it was £1 a photo.

DailyKegelReminder · 28/06/2020 22:23

Forgot to add most of the time they gave you at least 2 free. It was if you requested more they would mention the price.

SunbathingDragon · 28/06/2020 22:24

£15 for three at mine.

WeeScottishWife · 28/06/2020 22:24

£5 at mine in London.

starsinyourpies · 28/06/2020 22:29

Sounds like ours is just higher than average here then!

I'll be having my 12 week scan next week at Queen Charlotte's in London. Their website says they charge £5 per scan photo.

Sunshine1235 · 28/06/2020 22:33

3 for £10 at all 3 hospitals I’ve had scans in for my children since 2016. I hope the hospital gets the money, is always assumed they did.

That said they weren’t super strict on always having to pay so when I had a scan with my second and he was only 8 weeks they gave me the photos for free. When I had a trainee so my appointment took a lot longer they give me about 8 photos for free and during the current situation all my photos have been free

DappledThings · 28/06/2020 22:46

No charge at mine because they don't print anything, just invite you to take a few photos of the screen if you want to.

kb16 · 28/06/2020 22:55

Im in Scotland and never had to pay for a scan photo, I didn't realise some hospitals charged!!

Lilice · 28/06/2020 23:14

I wasnt charged for DC1 and DC2. This time i paid £5 for one photo.

starsinyourpies · 29/06/2020 08:22

Let's see if they waive the charge today due to Covid!

WhatWouldPennyDo · 29/06/2020 08:27

Think it was £3 a pop at my hospital, although they’ve been giving them for free during the pandemic.

Lockdownmum1010 · 29/06/2020 08:32

£5 at mine, although they gave me free ones at my 20 week scan as baby wouldn't cooperate and the photos were awful!! Grin

Loladisco · 29/06/2020 08:34

£5 each first time round 2 or so years ago. This time free, sonographer said they weren't charging at the moment. Standard NHS hospital

CluelessBaker · 29/06/2020 08:42

Ouch! I got given 8 for free, I think because partners aren’t allowed in at the moment. £12.50 is ridiculous.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 29/06/2020 08:45

£12.50 for me but I got at least 6 photos each time.
