£12.50!!! I'm sure with previous DC it was a few quid and that wasn't that long ago although different hospital this time.

I know I know it's a medical check not a photo shoot but this seems an excessive charge.

Also may be focussing on this to get over nerves about scan. Not sure why so nervous this time just getting older.

Another where it’s £3 a go but free due to dads not being allowed in the scans at the moment. I’m totally of the ‘if you can pay you should, it’s a medical procedure’ school of thought but that’s appalling OP! If you can I’d be tempted to complain to PALS. Must be horrid for dads in low income families who can’t even see a printout of baby Sad

£5 for mine

I will report back, agree for partners who can't attend at the moment this does seem steep otherwise.

I’ve never had to pay. But only got them at 12 & 20 week scans, not at early scans or growth scans later on x

I've never been charged for a scan photo. DS1 15 years ago were free, DS2 11 years ago were free (different hospitals too), and this one has been free too - completely different county this time and I've had loads of scans for this one so have reels of photos.

Mine were £12.50 as well in correct cash. No card payment, no change. Who has that in Correct cash in 2020?

gggrrrargh · 29/06/2020 10:54

Mine was £5 in Luton and Dunstable hospital a few years ago, that seems a huge charge

starsinyourpies · 29/06/2020 16:11

Update: all good at the scan and they gave me masses of pictures for free since partners not allowed to attend currently. So £12.50 saved!

£3 a pic so we paid for our 12 week scans. Then it was free at our 20 week scan due to corona and not handling cash etc. They normally print the fees on your appointment letter to prepare you before you go x

GreytExpectations · 29/06/2020 16:32

Ours were giving them away for free because of coronavirus they couldn't accept cash and it was cash only.
