I’m pretty sure this is false positive but I’m freaking out honestly. Me and my ex had unprotected sex alllll throughout February in hopes of getting me pregnant. The relationship was extremely toxic though and soon after he began to get physically abusive so we split. That month I was late on my period and was sure I must be pregnant. However, tests were negative and I ended up bleeding as usual (just a little late). I’ve bled every month on the dot up to now. I’m late again by quite a few days so randomly took a test and this came back. The line is very pink BUT also very faint. I’d be sure it would be darker by now if I was. Also if I was pregnant I couldn’t have possibly bled monthly on the dot and got negative tests up to now right? I haven’t slept with anyone since February. My mum has been subtly mentioning pregnancy lately, I think as a way of subtly asking if I am since I’ve gained so much weight and my belly is admittedly pretty big (but that is where I always gain the most weight). Writing this while downing water so I can wee again and take another test 😂 please reassure me in the mean time

That is a relief but I agree you should ask about the bloating if that's not normal for you. You don't look fat, it just looks like a prominent stomach.

Your first post was a really clear positive.. quite confusing for you.

WildSkitty · 07/07/2020 14:26

@applepip21 please get these symptoms followed up. How old are you? Have you ever had a smear test? Do you have any other symptoms like discharge or pain or bleeding?

HoneysuckIejasmine · 07/07/2020 16:39

I don't mean to scare you OP but did the doctor actually see you in person? If not pregnant I'd be wanting a scan for ovarian cancer ASAP.

Annu786 · 07/07/2020 17:00

That is most certainly a positive in my opinion
Some ladies get periods throughout their pregnancies
I’d say get a digital test like others have mentioned and then most certainly get to the doctors to confirm

Annu786 · 07/07/2020 17:01

Sorry just read the rest off the messages
Yes agree with everyone get checked out it could be an underlying yearly problem
Good luck

BruceAndMarley · 07/07/2020 17:03

Hey OP how are you? X

applepip21 · 07/07/2020 19:19

Thanks for your messages everyone I really do appreciate it. Now it’s confirmed I’m not pregnant, I’m not worrying too bad at all, I don’t have any other symptoms or things wrong besides extreme exhaustion which will be due to being anaemic, and weight gain (but to be fair I’ve ate so bad the past few months). So I’m not going to follow it up further at this point. When corona virus settles I might ask for a smear test- I’m 22 so haven’t had one before- but at the moment the doctors seem really overwhelmed with older/more vulnerable patients and any other testing would probably need to be done at the hospital which is so far away from me and I don’t drive 😬 I wouldn’t take public transport due to corona and wouldn’t want to go to a hospital setting at the moment in case of putting my son at risk. I honestly think I’ll be okay, if I start getting any worrying symptoms I’ll book in for smear test. I also need to start eating better/less to reduce the belly 😂 Thank you so much again everyone for comments 🥰

Please OP can you read the thread by the late TwitterQueen about her diagnosis with ovarian cancer? It started with her asking about weight loss tips for a large stomach, out of proportion to the rest of her body. I will try to find a link for you.

applepip21 · 07/07/2020 19:24

Also, I forgot to mention, I didn’t bring up the bloating to the doctor because I’m honestly embarrassed that it’s most likely just fat 😂 I wore a very very loose fitting dress which showed nothing at all. I’m honestly just humiliated at how big I am and barely leave the house because of it so the idea of bringing it up to the doctor was humiliating 😫 plus they seemed very strained and in a rush so we didn’t really get time to speak, it was a simple blood test and out

Please read it and talk to your doctor. For the sake of your family if not you.

Habbyhadno · 07/07/2020 19:50

Applepip, you really do need to go back and see the doctor. You've only given them half the story. You won't be wasting their time, this is really quite important to get resolved. Did they do a pregnancy test at the doctors? Have you done another one since the original post?

applepip21 · 07/07/2020 19:55

@Habbyhadno I did a pregnancy test since the positive and it came out negative. I feel so so stupid messaging the doctors again, the woman who spoke to me was kind of rude and seemed a little annoyed like I was wasting her time. Doctors confirmed I’m not pregnant through a blood test. I might send them these pictures and see what they say, but I’m almost certain they’ll put it down to just eating bad

Hi, I've been lurking but haven't posted before.

I saw you mentioned about a smear test, but a smear test will only pick up cervical cancer, not ovarian. I agree with PP that it's worth getting further checked out, or at least send them your photos

applepip21 · 07/07/2020 20:06

Does this sound okay?? I really don’t want to sound over the top 😫😫

I'd take out the poor diet but but otherwise good.

applepip21 · 07/07/2020 20:15

It sounds so dumb but I cannot bring myself to send it 😫 I feel like I should try other options first like eating healthier just to see if it reduces the bloating before wasting their time 😬 i think I’m going to leave it for now, I just can’t send it. The potential embarrassment of them saying it’s just fat is too bad 😐

AnneTwackie · 07/07/2020 20:19

Just for the detail about putting in your cup, you should see your dr. The bloat is secondary In my opinion.

MsFrog · 07/07/2020 20:26

I'm a healthcare professional, and I can guarantee they won't dismiss you or say it's just fat. They will take your concerns seriously - you should send the email to be sure xx

WildSkitty · 07/07/2020 20:30

Please, please send the email.

Habbyhadno · 07/07/2020 20:43

Come on Apple, we're all behind you. Send the email and see what they say. You're perfectly entitled to ask to see someone again and any doctor would be willing to help investigate this and hopefully put your mind at rest. Do not worry about bothering people, because you're not.

Oops sorry, don't know what happened there with the double post Grin

tattybyetattyhead · 07/07/2020 20:46

Ovarian cancer would be vanishingly unlikely at the age of 22. So I don't think that should be being put in your mind tbh HOWEVER it's not impossible so for that reason you do need to just speak with your doctor about the fact you look bloated. I'm also not sure about your stance in your pics - it's so hard to tell from a static photo - you may look completely different stood straight without what looks like rounding your back.

It's sensible to speak with your doctor and let them look at the photos. A health care professional is what you need, not a load of randoms on the internet

Good luck! I'm sure you'll be just fine

Katnissx · 07/07/2020 23:01

Ignore the HPTs and please go to your GP ASAP on the basis of two vaginal lumps and extreme bloating!!
Your health is more important than worrying about inconveniencing someone or embarrassment! X

Frazzled2207 · 08/07/2020 20:48

Hello just chiming in to say please send the email. It may well be nothing but I really do think you need to be physically examined.
