@Hanrora06 we were going to get the SnuzPod but our friend is lending us hers. I liked the look of it and the overall dimensions worked for beside our bed. I have no experience of it though as it's our first, but she has shared it with two other friends who loved it too, so hopefully that's a good sign!

peachypetite · 03/07/2020 11:09

Snuzpod looks fab, do they sell mattresses separately? By this time next week I’ll have had my scan, eek!

StephRae · 03/07/2020 11:10

@Missworry92 with my first pregnancy I started buying things pretty early and this time around I’ve barely brought anything yet because I’ve learnt you really don’t need to so I wouldn’t worry about that, like people have said December is still pretty far away.

StephRae · 03/07/2020 11:11

Btw how much movement are everyone feeling now? I’ve definitely started feeling more movement now which is very exciting!

Hanrora06 · 03/07/2020 11:33

@RestorationInsanity that's a great system! I'd like to do that, it seems like a waste to spend so much on it new when you can only use it for 6 months! I'll investigate, but I'm sure in the run up to Christmas people will be selling them.

@peachypetite yes, on the official website they sell them for all the different versions for around £35-40 which is great to know!

@StephRae I'm feeling movement off and on at the moment! But as it's still pretty early I assume it's OK to feel more rather than less at certain times, as it was such a faint sensation anyway. Like I'm feeling it a bit now as I'm sat at my desk, which seems to be the best position to be able to feel anything. But once the baby is bigger you're supposed to feel it pretty consistently and pick out a pattern, is that right?

Babyhope98 · 03/07/2020 11:35

@StephRae how amazing congratulations! I have started feeling a lot of movement if what I assuming it movement is right. I was feeling a little bit hear and there but wasn’t sure but over the last few days I have felt it a lot I’m hoping it’s her 🥰

@peachypetite little green sheep sell the correct snuzpod mattresses , I'll link you

ChampooPapi · 03/07/2020 11:59

@peachypetite, they also do ones for the snuz 2 (which is the same dimensions as the snuz 1). Snuz 2 and 3 are different matress/sheet sizes though. The snuz 3 is wider

@peachypetite you'll need a waterproof matress protector too, these are 100 percent the best and not expensive, they allow for the sides to breath. Also by little green sheep, the company is associated with snuzpod and endorsed by them as their ethos is similar, all natural, organic and obviously sleep safe

A friend has offered me her snuzpod which is great as I was planning to get one of my own, and would just buy a new mattress obviously.

ChampooPapi · 03/07/2020 12:04

@peachypetite ask which model it is as the 1&2 are the same size, but the three is wider

Thank you @ChampooPapi for the birth links and for the SnuzPod mattress etc info! It's all starting to feel a lot more real now I can feel some movements (I think!) and have a date for my scan.

This morning in bed, there was suddenly a hard little mound near my hip, and when I rubbed it it then went and everything felt uniform again. Could it have been baby's bum/head or is it too small for me to notice that at this stage?

Missworry92 · 03/07/2020 12:11

Oh thank you ladies, that does make me feel better, I just thought I'm being super unorganised 😅 I'm having my 20week scan to see my little boy so cant wait for that. Really hate that NHS are still not letting partners come to the scans etc, private practices don't have a problem with that so they should really change that soon I think with all the things starting to reopen again.
Congratulations @StephRae it must be lovely to have one each! My partners brother has triplets and theres a lot of twins on my side of the family so I was a little worried having triplets 😁 I think having twins is amazing though!

I've heard quite a few ladies recommending Snuzpod now which sounds promising!
