@chubbyhotchoc thanks for sharing the weeks/months so handy to know because People always ask what is that in months. whoop I'm 5 months also now. sounds so far gone but doesn't feel it.

excitednerves · 28/06/2020 20:54

@chubbyhotchoc that was my runner-up pram last time! I have a few friends who have it and it’s lovely! Enjoy unboxing and playing with it! So exciting!

I bought my pram probably around this stage in my first pregnancy because there were great deals on the May Day bank holiday and I thought it was too good to miss! I’ve never regretted it!

finally started taking some bump pics with the hubby today!

It's been so nice reading everyone's pram posts and seeing nice news all around x

Lovely bump @MummyShark97.

Bump now visible front on! It's suddenly popped this week. Am still feeling like a fraud and I should just be holding my stomach in!

Think I may be suffering with a bit of SPD. Get a feeling that someone is pushing downwards in the bones of my pelvis between my legs, and a sort of throbbing at the front of my pelvic bone. Especially if I've been on my feet/active a lot in the day.

I don’t know if anyone else has had a few bad days recently? I’ve been feeling quite dizzy and sick and not sleeping well for the last few days and I’m 18.5 weeks. Hoping it will pass! Xx

roro87 · 29/06/2020 09:55

@snowwhite2020 I'm had a bad day yesterday felt sick and low energy and like I was back on an OK day in first trimester 😂 Today is shaping up to be the same woke up at 5 am and now I'm working so will be tonight before I can sleep again

kkr168 · 29/06/2020 09:57

@MummyShark97 & @RestorationInsanity you both look amazing!!

@chubbyhotchoc That's a gorgeous pushchair, I went for a mamas & papas flip xt, trying to work out what other essential items I need, I want to avoid buying things for the sake of it this time. So far we have the pushchair, next to me crib, clothes, grobags & bottles. I need to get sheets/blankets, nappies, wipes, car seat, baby monitor & a moses basket or similar for downstairs, any other suggestions?

What car seats are you interested in? I'm keen on the Joie 360 & the cosatta all in all currently.

kkr168 · 29/06/2020 10:00

I've been crocheting this blanket, it's taking forever, but I'm loving the star border.

chubbyhotchoc · 29/06/2020 10:22

@kkr168 thanks. My list is similar. Next to me crib, sleepyhead, sheets, cellular blankets, baby wraps, breathing monitor, steriliser, caboo sling, perfect prepmachine, bottles, sleep suits, vests, cardigans, nappies, dummies...

Awkes · 29/06/2020 10:24

@kkr168 that’s amazing! I tried to knit a little teddy thing but I’m awful and gave up halfway in 😂 wish I could do that tho looks lovely!!
I’ve not bothered with a lot, leaving the baby monitor seeing as she’ll be in with us for 6 months. Asda was great, I got sheets and towels from there and boots do a pack of 10 Muslin squares. We’ve also got baby bath, changing bag, changing mat, play gym/mat, cheap bouncer and swaddles

MummyShark97 · 29/06/2020 10:25

@peachypetite this will sound so tmi but I thought oh great I'll get some of those pants for after baby arrives as I'm not keen on the idea of those net ones! wow mum life!

MummyShark97 · 29/06/2020 10:31

@kkr168 that blanket is beautiful!

kkr168 · 29/06/2020 10:36

@Awkes I have made these teddy's, the bunny was really hard, mainly because it was very fiddly to do. I enjoyed making the duck comforter, it was nice to make & came together so quick.

@kkr168 omg that’s amazing!! I love the duck! So cute 🐤

confused107 · 29/06/2020 12:10

Loving the bumps and knitted/crochet items. I wish I was able to do something like that, though I suspect my mom is knitting like a machine even though I would prefer to wait until after 20 weeks!

EithneBlue · 29/06/2020 15:11

I'm having a bit of a personal debate over buggies. I'm not sure the extra £££ for the newborn attachments are really worth it for the little use they could get. I am somewhat tempted to just try a sling in the early weeks and see what I think.

Pretty sure I'm feeling movement now although I'm still not 100% sure (19+2). It sort of feels ... swishy.

Lovely knitted and crocheted items! I know I'm getting a blanket from my mum (I didn't really have the heart to tell her I already have several: she was pretty set on making a baby blanket LOL).

Pinktruffle · 29/06/2020 15:42

I've had the same debate @EithneBlue and decided to go with a sling. I don't think I'll be going out an awful lot in December/Januaty anyway plus most research shows babies cry less and are happier in a sling. The sling will also be useful around the house too.

peachypetite · 29/06/2020 15:47

@EithneBlue what do you mean by attachment, travel system etc?

EithneBlue · 29/06/2020 15:52

@peachypetite Most buggies suitable from birth seem to cost way more and have carrycot or newborn attachments that are only used for a few months before baby will grow out of it I'm wondering if I could wait and buy a 6m+ buggy and use a sling for the first few months. I have been looking at the Yoyo recently and it looks fab but the newborn nest is like £170 extra just for 6 months. If it turns out I like using the sling that could be a bit financially wasteful

ChampooPapi · 29/06/2020 17:55

Oh my god @kkr168 the blanket and the crochet baby toys are gorgeous! Absolutely fab 👌🥰

@EithneBlue yes my sister in law hasn't used her buggy/travel system once, sling all the way and is now buying a buggy for her little one who is 8 months. She was given the system by her other sister in law, other then the car seat in the car the buggy has been redundant to her. She carries the baby in a sling all the time to travel about. Though obviously lock down helped with that too, and her lifestyle involves visiting friends and family close by who all have places for the baby to sleep other then in her sling. So for some people depending on your lifestyle the system, i.e the basinet part, is not needed. Can go straight to a beasting stroller then without any outlay

Yay @MummyShark97 ! Brilliant bump your sporting there 🥰

@RestorationInsanity what a perfect bump, front shot as well, looking absolutely fantastic 💜 so sorry your suffering from some spd, after being on ones feet all day as well it does make you just need to lay down and check out for the rest of the evening to recover a bit. I hope you are able to rest as much as you can, restoration or no restoration, you need to put those legs up and get some pillow action around the bod

I'm really struggling with boys names. Me and my Partner have totally different ideas he likes traditional "safe" names where as I like things a little different. My top five are Reid, Beau, Blaise, Arlo & August. he is more into David, James etc
