@RunnerGirl123 good news on the test results. Just take each day as it comes, each little baby step. X

peachypetite · 28/06/2020 06:32

@Pinktruffle yes it’s too early for a defined patternMy midwife discussed movements and patterns with me at my 16 week appointment (call) and said pattern would be around 28weeks.

This may be helpful www.rcog.org.uk/globalassets/documents/patients/patient-information-leaflets/pregnancy/pi-your-babys-movements-in-pregnancy.pdf

roro87 · 28/06/2020 08:30

@Pinktruffle My midwife brought up exact same thing to me because I said i wasn't sure because it kept coming and going, also FTM, but she said will be a few weeks before consistent and that I will mainly feel it in bed or when relaxing on the couch which is true so far. Then she said further along in 3rd trimester the movements will change because lack of room. It's so lovely feeling them move.
@RunnerGirl123 so happy you got some positive news, hopefully it continues that way x

RunnerGirl123 · 28/06/2020 08:38

Thank you all. We're not out of the woods yet, and still a long way to go even if all results are clear. But last weeks results did give me a tiny boost of positivity!
So lovely to see how all your pregnancy journeys are progressing.

chubbyhotchoc · 28/06/2020 08:40

@Pinktruffle I've been feeling mine since 15 weeks which was a bit of a shock. There are definitely some days when she's much quieter than others. She was quiet yesterday but this morning she was letting me know she wasn't happy about me still being in bed when my bladder was full 😂 I don't think patterns emerge until later

Asianchick6693 · 28/06/2020 09:28

@Pinktruffle same thing happened to me. I've been feeling baby from around 15 weeks (Also FTM) but about 2 days ago I didn't feel anything during the daytime for 2 days but I think at this point when you're busy, you're less likely to notice it. When I woke up in the middle of the night to pee, I felt so many movements. Almost as if the flutters and swooshes woke me up! Back to feeling baby move again. I was also feeling really anxious but I try not to worry too much.

chubbyhotchoc · 28/06/2020 09:58

I've taken the plunge and ordered my pram. Didn't want to miss out on a good deal. Ridiculously excited now 🙈🙈

ChampooPapi · 28/06/2020 10:27

@chubbyhotchoc that pram is immense 💗 absolutely gorgeous !

@Asianchick6693 welcome lovely, when is your due date again? I have a feeling we may have a 20 week scan or two next week, I'm wishing the time away at the moment!

OP posts:
Asianchick6693 · 28/06/2020 10:30

@ChampooPapi thank you! I'm due 6th December, week 20 scan is on the 20th July. Still a while away. Can't wait tbh, me and my partner are so eager to know what we're having. Will you be finding out?

ChampooPapi · 28/06/2020 10:36

@Asianchick6693 oh God the wait is torture sometimes isn't it! But you do suddenly kind of get to that waiting room. Maybe by then your partner can attend, we live on hope! I'm having twins girls, we found out from having the Harmony test. We have two other girls too 💪♀️. This is your first baby is it? Once that 20 week scan is out of the way it is so much easier to live in the moment and worry less. I'm striking off the days myself like I'm serving a sentence currently!

Pinktruffle · 28/06/2020 10:39

Thank you for all the reassurance ladies. You are all fantastic! The baby moving used to be the rolling feeling which you really can't mistake for anything else, the past few days have been smaller movements more of the popping style ones. I miss the rolling and want it to come back haha!

Asianchick6693 · 28/06/2020 10:42

@ChampooPapi awww congratulations that's so lovely!! Yes it's our first baby. The first trimester was absolutely horrendous. It made me question whether I could make it to the end but once it's over you almost forget how bad it was. So strange! I'm praying my husband can attend that scan, he's been gutted from the beginning and they won't let me take any videos either. It's always so much nicer seeing the baby move its tiny arms and legs. Not long left for you though, I'm sure the day will come in no time!

Asianchick6693 · 28/06/2020 10:45

@Pinktruffle you're welcome lovely. That rolling feeling is the best! I'm always trying to look out for it but it comes when you least expect it. I was describing it to my husband that it feels like waves from the ocean!

lc86 · 28/06/2020 10:55

Aww I'm so jealous of those feeling the baby move.. 17 weeks today with my 3rd and still waiting 🙁

Awkes · 28/06/2020 10:58

So happy to hear your results are positive @RunnerGirl123 please keep us updated and I’ll have my fingers crossed for the next set ❤️

Also bought a pram. Couldn’t bare the price if I’m honest, as a ftm I had no idea they were all so expensive and I’m a tight cow anyway. I felt adamant I wanted to see what I was buying in person but all the shops seem to stock is the pricey eggs and i candy models. Finally found a place that had a hauck which I had seen great reviews for but they’d only let us peer in the box, no fully assembled model to see. My brother had driven us out to this place in Wrexham as me an OH don’t drive and was saying if I bought it there we could drive it home and OH is egging me on. So we bought it, took it home and assembled it and it’s so ugly I spent the night glaring at it until I finally burst into tears and OH agreed we could send it back 😂 I’ve now ordered an ickle bubba (terrible name) which I got second hand so loads cheaper than retail price. So ridiculous to be so emotional over a bloody pram but I’m so excited now to see my new one all sleek and pretty. Am I full on crazy pregnant dyou think? 😂

chubbyhotchoc · 28/06/2020 11:03

@Awkes no it's normal I think. I didn't think I'd be bothered but got really excited after going to the shop yesterday. Already had mother in law on the phone saying it's too early/ bad luck 😒

Awkes · 28/06/2020 11:12

@chubbyhotchoc I think that ‘pregnant’ feeling is all kicking in for me now. I’ve had the bad luck speech too 🙄 don’t see how it’s any different to the other baby things I’ve bought. There’s a nice pile building in my living room now, worried I’ll be fully supplied in a couple weeks if I carry on my spending spree

chubbyhotchoc · 28/06/2020 11:20

@Awkes it's the first thing I've bought but that's only really because we have the house on the market so I have enough crap to hide when we have viewings lol. I've partially agreed with MIL and said to avoid the bad luck we'll store it at her house 😏

ChampooPapi · 28/06/2020 11:27

@lc86 me too, 19 weeks here and 3rd and 4th baby, still nothing to report!. They are only awake about 5 or six hours at this point though so if that's during the day when your busy really hard to identify as movement. I never really feel much with my babies until after 20 weeks ☺️

nearlyamummyof2boys · 28/06/2020 11:48

@chubbyhotchoc gorgeous pram! Splurge if you feel like it we've had a rough time during lockdown pregnancy! You deserve something nice 🥰😊💓

@roro87 amazing picture I loved the foot!

@RunnerGirl123 I'm so happy for you - you've been in my thoughts. I hope you can relax a bit more now.

Welcome all new people!
My midwife suggested the midwife lead ward.
I gave birth alone last time on the delivery suite (husband working away and was early) it was awful I found and no compassion.
The move into surgery was really scary and they couldn't understand why I hadn't stopped crying!

Now I'm a single pregnancy I will try to go in the midwife lead birthing suite in Liverpool ❤️

I'm really struggling not to kill OH I've just had a rant on Twitter about it - I'm so fed up with men using terms like 'minding the baby' or when they get rewarded for a night alone with THEIR child (ie when I was in hospital!) surely this should be normal as we women do it all the time! So fed up of this narrative.
Sorry guys rant over - I needed that 😂

nearlyamummyof2boys · 28/06/2020 11:50

Just to say I'm 20 weeks on Wed and no movement over here either if that reassures anyone!

@chubbyhotchoc I'm very impressed with your negotiating skills with your MIL ❤️

Snowwhite2020 · 28/06/2020 12:02

Ditto @chubbyhotchoc kudos! Xx

Awkes · 28/06/2020 12:30

@chubbyhotchoc you’ve got far more restraint than me 😂 we’ve got no family that close to store it but still have it in easy reach. Plus I want to look at it whenever I want 😂😂 if I were you I’d say she’s opened a door and store it all at her house. That way you can shop to your hearts content! 😉
