Why do we have to call it BFP and BFN it sounds so ...well infantile!

I dont like or dislike them tbh (to be honest) But that is because I got used to using them on the ttc (trying to conceive) threads

When I joined MN I though AF and BFP were acronyms for some technical terms I was unaware of. Was worried as I am a Biology teacher.
