Hi all,
I’m currently 37 + 5 and starting to think about the next few weeks and when labour will come. In my understanding most first time mums go past their due date. Just wondering -when did you go into labour with your first baby? Thanks all.

33+6. No one knows why.

As @YesItsMeIDontCare says, having been told all first babies are late, I really really was not expecting that.

Had a sweep at 40+3 and went into labour late of 40+4 after loads of cramps after the sweep and had her 40+5 x

I had a big bleed at 38 weeks and was 1cm dialated, ended up being induced to hurry things along and had her at 38+5

oneworriedmumma · 29/05/2020 20:33

Had a sweep at 38+6 which broke my waters, DD was here 6 hours later.

Had a sweep at 40 weeks and another at 41 weeks. Went in for induction at 42 weeks. He was a stubborn little thing!

1 week early. you'll know it when it happens! enjoy the peace and being able to sit comfortably. also the full use of both your arms.

JuneWind · 29/05/2020 21:47

I started at 5am 39+6 but the little rascal didn’t make an appearance until 6pm at 40+2.

Longest 4 days of my life!!! Worth it though!

onetwothreeadventure · 29/05/2020 21:52

41 weeks, was in labour the morning I went in for induction

mouse1234567 · 29/05/2020 21:54

Thanks for this, it’s very interesting that in fact many of you have actually gone into labour early. I’m currently staying with my family two hours away from my hospital and was planning on staying here until 39+1-I hope that won’t be too late!

Didn't Sad at 41 and 4 days doctor made me do an induction. It was a terrible experience

Carouselfish · 29/05/2020 23:21

2 days before due date, but then she looked overcooked so was probably late!

Ginandtonic31 · 30/05/2020 07:11

39+6. My waters went at 4am in the morning and baby was born that day. Looking back, I think I had been in slow labour over the weekend and not realised. It was a Tuesday she was born

Blackberrythief · 30/05/2020 07:13

39+6 and baby was born 24 hours later on due date Smile
