I changed doctor to get one closer, I now have the midwife on 10th and early scan on 15th (will be 7w+5 then). Does anyone know what I can expect to see then? They said they‘ll do an internal ultrasound: has someone had one yet? How is it?

Hopefulmummie · 03/06/2020 16:10

How is everyone feeling today?
I feel like crap today- completely exhausted and just feel I've no energy. Doesn't help that I'm still bleeding so in the worst mood

Sunshinedahlia · 03/06/2020 16:21

Feeling quite sick all day and really tired. Woke up numerous times in the night and couldn‘t get back to sleep. Sorry about your bleeding 🌻

lilypad88 · 03/06/2020 16:37

@Hopefulmummie oh that's really annoying hun, when is your scan again? Hopefully it will give you that peace of mind 🙏🏻
I'm not in the best mood today either tbh, and the weather doesn't help... also this lack of symptoms sounds like a blessing but at the same time, I still don't feel pregnant, my boobs hurt less and less, I never imagined my first weeks being so stressful and not enjoyable tbh... until I get my scan I don't think I'll be excited about my pregnancy really 🤷🏼‍♀️ I wish I'd knew about it later xD so the wait wouldn't feel that long, this 5th week feel like an eternity!!

Hopefulmummie · 03/06/2020 16:42

@lilypad88 it's on Saturday so getting closer.
Sorry your not feeling great I'm the same with no symptoms it is annoying.
This afternoon I've had really bad cramps :(

lilypad88 · 03/06/2020 17:01

@Hopefulmummie ahh not long now then! That's good :) How far will you be on the day?
Thanks hun, be better tomorrow hopefully 😅

Hopefulmummie · 03/06/2020 17:07

@lilypad88 I'll be 6 weeks exactly

BabyG123 · 03/06/2020 17:13

@Beautybake5 the date by you lmp is just a rough date. That's what the nhs go by until you're scan where it will be adjusted. I'm 9+1 by nhs but 7+1 by ovulation 🤪

Thank you @Baba11 and @BabyDust13!! Twins don't run in my family at all no so it was a massive shock! They are identical so think it's just one of those random chance things that can happen to anyone! I have barely had any sickness but was absolutely EXHAUSTED from week 5-8....just felt like I constantly needed to lie down and sleep. I had lots of afternoon naps! My boobs have also been (and are still) really sore. Oh and I've been insanely hungry all the time!

@Sunshinedahlia I had a scan last week at 8+3 (by LMP although I knew I had ovulated on cd17 so assumed I was only 8 weeks) and my babies both measured bang on 8 weeks. I could see two big shapes (not very baby like yet!), two flickering heartbeats and two round yolk sacs.

I had a missed miscarriage found at the 12 week scan in November 2019 so was keen to get an early reassurance scan. It was so lovely to see their heartbeats and be told everything looked on track but I can't help but think it's going to happen to me again Sad my NHS scan is on 19th June but I'll actually only be 11+2. Just wish these next two weeks would fly by!

Sunshinedahlia · 03/06/2020 18:59

Wow @MilsCookie that must have been an amazing surprise! And thanks for the info.
Sorry about your missed miscarriage, that must have been really hard.
And yes, time is really going slowly! Also have basically no distractions at the moment because nothing else is happening.

MilsCookie · 03/06/2020 19:04

@sunshinedahlia - it was such a shock! But a happy shock Smile I found it dragged soooo much from my BFP to 6 weeks but then it seems to have gone a bit quicker since then. I know what you mean about it taking even longer because of lockdown and so we're less busy!! Also about the internal scan - it's absolutely fine and not uncomfortable at all. They put a very thin 'wand' up your foofoo (DP and I have taken to calling it 'dildo cam' Grin) and they get a better image of your baby that way than if it was abdominal at this early stage.

Bubbabee · 03/06/2020 19:48

@MilsCookie what a fab scan photo 😍

BabyG123 · 03/06/2020 20:07

@MilsCookie lovely scan 🥰🥰

BabyG123 · 03/06/2020 20:10

Anyone else terrified of a missed miscarriage. Like you can still have all
Symptoms and there just not be a heart beat 🤷🏼‍♀️

Cruel cruel cruel thing 😢

I have a private scan in a couple of weeks at 11+4 lmp (9+4 ovulation, long Cycles) but that's more as I want my husband at the first scan.

Bubbabee · 03/06/2020 20:24

@BabyG123
Yep me. With already previously having one I am on edge. I can't enjoy my pregnancy because I'm so scared. I'm trying to think positive but it's hard. X

BabyDust13 · 03/06/2020 20:34

@MilsCookie fab picture

BabyG123 · 03/06/2020 20:41

@Bubbabee it seems to be so common 😱

OP posts:
StephS1984 · 03/06/2020 20:42

@BabyG123, yep, I know what you mean, I found out at 12 weeks last time that had stopped growing at 6-8 weeks- full symptoms throughout, so having a private scan at around 10-11 weeks, so my husband can come to support me before going alone to nhs scan.

It is a new pregnancy, so trying to stay positive. ❤️

Baba11 · 03/06/2020 20:42

@MilsCookie thanks for sharing your beautiful photo. I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. It's my worse fear to go to my 12weeks scan and there be nothing there. F.C. these 2 beans stick and you get an amazing scan photo in 2 weeks time. Not long to wait now chick

Sunshinedahlia · 03/06/2020 20:43

@ MilsCookie “dildocam“ ok that made me laugh! 🤣 Thank you for the reassurance, I looked up pictures of it today and was starting to wonder if it was starting to feel less relaxed about it.

Brodijen · 03/06/2020 20:48

@BabyG123 @Bubbabee @StephS1984 Yes, completely. I had one last year and found out at almost 12 weeks. It was just devastating and I’m so scared of having another. It was my first pregnancy and whilst I’m so happy and grateful for this new pregnancy, I feel like the MMC has robbed me of the innocence and excitement that I had the last time around. I’ve also booked an early scan for next weeks when I’ll be just over 8 weeks as I can’t let myself go to 12 weeks again not knowing. F.C. we all see little heartbeats very soon xx

lilypad88 · 03/06/2020 21:15

@BabyG123 I know what you mean, I'm still doing pregnancy tests and checking my bbt every now and then, just cause I'm scared of a missed miscarriage... I guess I'd rather know before the scan if it happens.. And yea, it's crazy how common it seems to be! They say it's only about 10% until 12 weeks but hearing everybody's story, it feels like it happened at least once to most of us... it's really sad and scary!..

BabyG123 · 03/06/2020 21:23

I did another clear blue digital today it said 3+ but I know hcg can stick around so don't know why I did as it hasn't reassured me at all 🤪

MissHoney85 · 03/06/2020 21:48

@lilypad88 @BabyG123 I think missed miscarriage is everyone's fear at this point isn't it. I did some number crunching the other day, I wanted to find out what % of miscarriages are missed. I couldn't find any data on it, all I could find was that 1-5% of pregnancies end in a MMC. As 25% of all pregnancies end in a MC, that seems pretty small odds. Obviously it does happen, as many here can testify. I think these boards are more likely to attract people who've experienced things like that though. Not that any of this makes the fear go away, I know!

Yellowhana · 03/06/2020 21:58

@StephS1984 thanks! Took your advice and had my call this afternoon. All a bit real now!
