@Baba11 I'm not so sure 😂😂

Brodijen · 02/06/2020 20:46

@StephS1984 Thank you, fingers crossed I’ll be ok.

MarvEll · 02/06/2020 22:05

@Hopingtomeetmymiracle so much like snot! 😄

MilsCookie · 02/06/2020 22:09

@BabyDust13 hey lovely - I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant with twins - let me know if they find twins at your next scan!! Technically due 7th Jan but it's more likely they'll come before that!

Dia12 · 02/06/2020 22:11

Hi everyone, I was wondering if I can get some advice. I'm a little confused about something, or more likely, I'm over thinking here - perhaps someone could just shake some sense into me.

My hcg levels at dates according to my LMP:
5+2= 2607 iU/l
5+5= 5422 iU/l

My early scan on Sunday meant I was 7+2
But measurements dated embryo to be 6+2 and at 6mm.
A week behind, doesn't seem to be too bad, until I started thinking about hcg levels which would have been too high for 4+2 and 4+5, right?

Does this mean the little embryo is actually 7w plus but just struggling to grow so is showing to be a week behind? Is this the slow decline to the end? Is growth non-linear?
Uff !

BabyG123 · 02/06/2020 22:13

@MilsCookie oooo how exciting I think they only let you go to 37 weeks so that'll be christmas?

Makes it feel so much closer when you say that it's this year 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ congrats.

@MilsCookie congrats
I would love to have twins, Iv had no sickness just very tired. Heard sickness is a big sign for twins. What symptoms did u have? Do twins run in your family?

BabyDust13 · 02/06/2020 22:49

@MilsCookie congratulations I'm so nervous, excited and scared all at the same time. How are you feeling?

Bubbabee · 03/06/2020 01:26

Hey all, Congratulations to all of you 😌..
Thought I’d join on as I’ve just found out I’m pregnant with my third baby.. daughter who is 10 and angel twin girls who are 7.. due to a missed miscarriage in 2013 with my twins as you can imagine I’m on edge every minute of the day.
I found out I was pregnant afew days ago think I’m 5wk 5days I was shocked to see the 2 lines and the answer on digital (I won’t lie I’ve taken atleast one test a day) I’m crazy.
I have severe nausea which I’ve had 3 weeks. My tiredness has settled down but about 4 days ago I started with restless legs or should I say leg 😂driving me crazy. Always worse between 11pm-2am.
I also have very sore boobs.
Any advice on how to relax more and not worry please?
Sorry for essay x

Bubbabee · 03/06/2020 01:27

Sorry third pregnancy not baby 🤦‍♀️

BabyG123 · 03/06/2020 06:33

@Bubbabee welcome and congratulations! Sorry for your losses.i can't help on the worry thing as I'm exactly the same and have never been in your situation. Hopefully you'll get extra scans before 12 weeks to reassure you. Nausea I believe is a good sign but I don't know what you went through with the twins if you had the same then.

@BabyG123
Thank you for your reply. I can't remember what I was like. Since my loss I've kind of forgotten most things. The medication for my nausea meds s helping at the moment. From reading all the posts I am now going to book an early scan just to make sure all is ok in there. Hope everyone is feeling ok today 😌

Beautybake5 · 03/06/2020 10:41

Hi everyone hope your all OK! I can't help but worry as all my symptoms I had last week have completly disappeard. Last week I had nausea, heartburn and sore boobs. The last 3 days I've had absolutely nothing and felt 'normal' so now I'm convinced somethings wrong, I'm booked in for an early scan on the 10th but I'm just so worried now. Also sorry to sound stupid but I'm so confused with how far along I acctualy am, my last period was the 7/4/20 which would make me around 8 weeks according to NHS calculator & midwife but I think I ovulated around the last week of April (my periods were all over the place before) which would only make me around 5 weeks, the scan says they scan from 7 weeks so now I'm worried I will be too early and they won't see anything! God I'm so confused xx

Hopefulmummie · 03/06/2020 10:53

@beautybake5 I'm the same I've no symptoms at all now apart from being so tired. I don't think it's anything to me alarmed about especially if your so early but I do worry aswell especially as I have been bleeding

I think they take it from the date of your lmp but you could give them a ring and check

lilypad88 · 03/06/2020 11:14

@Beautybake5 I'm the same as you, I don't have much symptoms, so far just sore boobs and twinges.. I'm 5+2 counting from ovulation date, otherwise I would be 6 weeks from lmp, I booked an early scan for 7 weeks (15th of june) and the lady said in my case it's probably best to count from ovulation indeed, I booked for week 7 because I wanted to be sure but the lady told me they would still be able to see something at week 6. Do you know if they can do internal in case they have trouble seeing it?

StephS1984 · 03/06/2020 12:31

Has anyone heard from their midwife with dates for booking in telephone appointment or details of their nhs scan date. I checked my hospital website and it says they aim to do booking appointments between 10-11 weeks, but I have heard nothing and I’m now 8+5 getting anxious as to whether I have been forgotten. My hospital is in Southampton.

MissHoney85 · 03/06/2020 12:46

@Dia12 I'd try not to worry about it too much. Sometimes it's better not to know too much, situations like this are probably why early scans aren't standard! Fetal growth and hormone levels are probably highly different from person to person. In any case, there's nothing to be done about it so as long as you are not having troubling symptoms you might as well think positive and try to enjoy being pregnant 🙂

Beautybake5 · 03/06/2020 13:06

Thankyou for your responses. It's external which makes me worry they won't be able to see much, I'm tempted to change the scan date but I'm so impatient and waiting another week feels long enough lol x

lilypad88 · 03/06/2020 13:28

@Beautybake5 well I guess depends on what you want to see, might be too early for heartbeat etc but if you just want reassurance that it is there and well placed then I think it's worth it. I want to wait 7 weeks in my case just to make sure I see a heartbeat and some sort of shape ^^

Carabu1 · 03/06/2020 13:33

@StephS1984 - I have my booking appt Friday which will be 10+1. I did have to hassle a bit though to get it in, as this time last week I still didn't have one. I think busy, popular hospital plus covid meant they were running behind...so it might be worth prodding them if you still haven't heard in a week or so?

Yellowhana · 03/06/2020 13:45

I’m supposed to have my booking appointment by telephone today but despite being told they would ring this morning haven’t heard anything. Don’t want to be too pushy but I’m worried I’ve been forgotten!

StephS1984 · 03/06/2020 14:35

@Carabu1, I caved and phoned them, they said that I will be phoned by 18th June and it will be done then over the phone. Then they are able to book me in for a scan.

@yellowhana I’d give them a call. I was forgotten about last time in December, and I had to nudge them that time.

MissHoney85 · 03/06/2020 14:43

I just got my booking appointment for Monday 1pm (over the phone of course). Exciting, it's all starting to feel a bit more real! Still can't quite believe it's all not about to go pear-shaped though...

Bubbabee · 03/06/2020 15:24

Hey I've now booked in my early scan for 16th and midwife 23rd so nervous.
Is anybody experiencing like cramps the feeling they are going to come on their period?

Dia12 · 03/06/2020 15:35

Thanks for replying @MissHoney85 - you're absolutely right, it is so variable and I've got no other signs to question so far, so I should accept it's all good.
