@BabyG123 this is my biggest fear too, but, statistically speaking, I actually don’t think it IS that common. I think it’s perhaps a bit over represented on boards like this where people join for support. Particularly once a heartbeat has been seen post 8 weeks the stats are very much on your side. I know you’ll still worry (I do!) but it’s one thing rational to tell yourself when you’re freaking out!

lilypad88 · 03/06/2020 22:26

@BabyG123 ah! Neither did I 🙄 and bbt goes up and down so it doesn't work either! Why do we do that to ourselves 😂

@MissHoney85 yea, data are a bit all over the place, some says 25%, some 10%.. I think we just need to go with the flow and trust our body bit more... Stressing about it won't help the odds either 🤦🏼‍♀️ wish I could be as chilled as OH...

Carabu1 · 03/06/2020 22:29

@lilypad88 those are in total though - missed ones are a smaller fraction of that (about 2-5%) If that helps?! (You can tell how worried I’ve been from the fact I’ve looked all this up!)

hayleyyy · 03/06/2020 22:40

Heyyy congratulations everyone I'm new to the group

I was just wondering is anyone else showing because I feel massive
I'm only normally a size 6 frame so I'm struggling to hide the bump as I don't want to tell anyone til we have had the first scan

BabyG123 · 04/06/2020 08:03

@MissHoney85 @Carabu1 good to see it in perspective though. Thank you

I actually agree when I had DS1 I actually took myself off around the 12 week scan mark as people did come here for
Support and it kept worrying me!

@lilypad88 DH is as worried as me this time around 🤣

@hayleyyy I'm definitely bloated earlier this time around. Bumps usually appear around 16 week mark I believe

@Carabu1 oh I see, it is a small number indeed.. And yes I guess you are right @BabyG123 @MissHoney85 it makes sense to see more people have had miscarriage as it's a place for support.. I didn't see it that way.

Bubbabee · 04/06/2020 11:37

Morning everyone,
Finally slept a solid 4hours so feel human Smile

Is anybody else's baby/babies wanting you too eat things you never did before.? Only things that don't make me instantly sick are things that I would never think to eat xx

Sonny124 · 04/06/2020 11:59

@Bubbabee all I can stomach at the minute are wotsits and vanilla milkshake. The thought makes me gag but it’s the only thing I can eat/drink without being sick

Carabu1 · 04/06/2020 12:06

@hayleyyy I'm 10 weeks and I feel huge...! I think this mainly because I have radically reduced exercise intensity though, and am always hungry, plus bloating and boobs, rather than an actual bump. My oh maintains I don't look visibly different, so I also think when you're usually slight you really notice every kg (I have actually only gained 1kg thus far, but I def feel fatter). I'm just wearing baggy jumpers and with those on I really don't think anyone but me will notice!

Sunshinedahlia · 04/06/2020 12:17

@Bubbabee only 4 hours! 😮 I‘ve been awake since 4.45am....
As for food, not eating anything too unusual yet, just stuff I haven‘t eaten for a long time, like bowls of rice crispies.

hayleyyy · 04/06/2020 12:33

@Carabu1 I feel massive my boobs are ever so sore ! I've not weighted my self as I don't want to no

When we had the lovely weather it was easy as I just wore floaty summer dresses but with this vile weather I'm struggling to cover I'm only 7weeks but have a visible bump as I was so flat stomached before

Just waiting for my letter with my scan date on which I'm guessing will not to for another 5 weeks

I'll have to wear my other half's t shirts 😂😂

Bubbabee · 04/06/2020 13:05

@Sonny124
I'm eating ice pops to ease the sickness which was something I never used to eat then this morning I had cereal which I haven't had in years and didn't feel sick after which is a bonus 👍..

@Sunshinedahlia
Oh that's early, you'll definitely Need an afternoon nap today haha.

Carabu1 · 04/06/2020 13:39

@hayleyyy If you're 7 weeks, it will def just be bloat :) And honestly, no one will notice as much as you! I'm a size 6 too, and I really don't think anyone but me can tell - I feel huge, but I don't think I really am (yet...). Then again, I hope most people would be too polite to tell me if they thought I had just ballooned...! So long as its a healthy baby I don't really mind - I am resigning myself to a long battle back into my jeans next year...

hayleyyy · 04/06/2020 14:05

@Carabu1 lol thank you maybe I am just bloated then

Also I'm new to this app how do I find the message and reply I'm scrolling threw to the end of the feed to find the messages lol

BabyG123 · 04/06/2020 14:05

So tired I slept 11-6:30 then just had a hour and a half nap 💤

Congratulations everyone!

I’m having terribly dry skin and a bad eczema flare up - reluctant to use the steroid cream the doctor has prescribed. Does anyone know if Shea butter is safe as a moisturiser due to its vitamin a content? Probably a silly question! Thank you!

Baba11 · 04/06/2020 14:45

@hayleyyy if you press the two arrows (facing up and down) on the top right hand side that will take u to end of chat

hayleyyy · 04/06/2020 14:55

@Baba11 lol thank you

Sunshinedahlia · 04/06/2020 15:26

Hehe..I‘ve been waking up earlier and earlier but this was an all time record (so far). Wasn‘t expecting this!

Lollipop93 · 04/06/2020 15:44

I’ve actually lost weight :/ all I’m eating pretty much is weetabix and toast. No appetite at all, never feel like I fancy anything. Constant fatigue and sooo tired. I only really feel ok when I lie down. I keep on feeling sick. I’m 7+2 today. Why are these first weeks going so slow haha.

Hopefulmummie · 04/06/2020 15:56

Hi everyone been trying to keep busy until my scan on Saturday.
How is everyone doing?

I had another call from the midwife at epu she just said again I was still quite early to come in and scan and asked me had a taken a pregnancy test again.. I got a positive on one yesterday and she said that was a good sign and that it was good I wasn't cramping anymore. Just advised me to sit tight... It's easier said and done lol

BabyG123 · 04/06/2020 18:09

@Lollipop93 I've been kind of forcing myself but the thought of meat makes me feel ill

@Hopefulmummie haha good that she's said that 🤞🏼😘

@Babyboom1990 i think an early scan def helps with anxiety instead of waiting to 12 weeks.

I have no symptoms at all now :(
