@MarvEll I also for some reason thought this would be a glowy radiant time, not really sure why -just never heard anyone talking about these early symptoms ! I feel pretty sickly since end of week 5 now in week 7 🤢 Off all my favourite foods.
Feeling so grateful for working from home to hide it all and this forum to not feel alone in it!

MayBug2020 · 02/06/2020 12:39

@Lollipop93 I am 7 weeks tomorrow so only a day apart :)! I know what you mean I open my eyes and think oh no how sick do I feel. I was feeling super sick this morning but seem to have kept it at bay by eating dry crackers throughout the morning. It is hard to enjoy these weeks when you are feeling so poorly and worried about things. I am looking forward to the fun parts :)

Yes I did have an early scan as I thought I was a lot further along than I am but it only showed me as 5 weeks. I was then referred to the EPU to have a check up a week later to make sure everything was progressing as it should and I am pleased to say it was and I was my little bean and the heartbeat. It was then that they said how far I was but explained it could be a couple of days out and a more accurate date will be given at 12 weeks. Another 5 weeks seems so long away! Xx

MayBug2020 · 02/06/2020 12:59

@MarvEll @inthestars90 @Lollipop93 ladies I hear you! I looked at pregnancy all the fun exciting things and forgot you had this sickness in the first trimester. I am such a bag when it comes to feeling sick or being sick. I am also so tired I feel like I can’t do anything and have no motivation.

Moan away together so we know it’s normal to feel like this :) xx

Sunshinedahlia · 02/06/2020 13:14

Re: nausea, I had it one day last week then nothing. Now I‘ve had it a little bit for the last 3 days and today is the worst so far. Have felt queasy since early this morning but not enough to actually be sick. Wondering if it will get worse and worse? Hope everyone is doing ok 🌻

Baba11 · 02/06/2020 13:21

I'm lucky not to have had sickness. My heart goes out to all you that are suffering. I have been really off foods, don't feel like eating much but force myself to eat.

@MayBug2020 u completely understand what u mean about no motivation. I am soo tired and have no energy to do anything. Working from home has been a blessing.

MayBug2020 · 02/06/2020 13:26

@Baba11 yes I am so grateful for working from home and I might actually have a little nap in my lunch break haha xx

Baba11 · 02/06/2020 13:29

@MayBug2020 lol Grin
Might as well make the most of it.

Hopefulmummie · 02/06/2020 14:06

@MayBug2020 did you see much on your scan when you were 5 weeks I'm tempted to book a 6 week scan this weekend but not sure if it would be worth it if spent show much

MayBug2020 · 02/06/2020 15:06

@Baba11 well it was wishful thinking but didn’t happen :( early night for me!

@Hopefulmummie at my 5 weeks scan I could only see the sac and yolk and that’s why I was referred to the EPU to make sure it was a viable pregnancy. I had my follow up scan at 6w+2d and I could see the little bean and the heart beat so I would say if it is going to reassure you go for it but you won’t see much. I did get pictures though but compared to a 12 week scan it doesn’t look like much but helped me to ensure all was ok. Having said that my first scan I booked thinking I was 7 weeks so didn’t book knowing I was only 5 x

Hopefulmummie · 02/06/2020 15:11

@maybug2020 thank you. I'm not hoping to see much cause I know I probably won't but just want to make sure everything is ol

loz94 · 02/06/2020 15:32

Hiiii…. can I join this thread? (I know i'm a little late!) but due 17th Jan and currently 7+2 on my first pregnancy. I've scared myself reading silly things online (whoops)
I've had a lack of sickness, only slight nausea and no actual vomiting and I've read that this can mean a lack of hormones so the pregnancy is not progressing as well as it should be. Has anyone else completely skipped the sickness at this stage?
I feel like I should be happy about it but I just want to feel pregnant Grin

mumoftwobeauts · 02/06/2020 17:59

@loz94 this is my third pregnancy and I never had sickness with any of them :) don't worry some people just don't get it xx

Baba11 · 02/06/2020 18:14

@mumoftwobeauts me neither. Blessed

Brodijen · 02/06/2020 18:24

Hi gals, so I just pigged out on Parma ham and salami. I avoided soft cheese because I didn’t know if it was pasteurised or not but I just laid into the cured meat instead and now I’m so worried. I didn’t realise some websites say to avoid it and my GP didn’t list it when she was making me aware of food to avoid 😞

BabyG123 · 02/06/2020 18:28

@loz94 I had nothing with my first, this time is the opposite. Don't jinx it 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

@Babyboom1990 @Hopefulmummie
Hi to you both. I had a lot of coloured discharge with DS1 and I bled all the way through on and off with DS2. Heavy in the early days and then again towards the end. It was horrible and scary and constantly in the EPU and MAU but they were both born at term and happy boys.
Sometimes it can just happen. Try and relax 😔 I know that's easier said than done xxxx

Hopingtomeetmymiracle · 02/06/2020 19:34

Hi all,

Just wanted to share that I had an early scan at 6 weeks on Sunday and we could see the baby and it's heartbeat. I chose to have an internal scan so that it was clearer and it really reassured and I have felt much calmer since.

TMI;
Iv had a little bit of discharge tonight which looked like snot. Has anybody else had this?

@dixiedo that's reassuring thank you. My bleeding doesn't look likes its gonna stop anytime soon but it doesn't seem to be getting heavier either.

@Hopingtomeetmymiracle that's good you were able to see the heart beat. I will probably be getting an internal too.
I read that could could spot or bleed after an internal scan

BabyDust13 · 02/06/2020 19:53

@Hopingtomeetmymiracle I've felt much better after seeing the heartbeat at an early scan I have another one Thursday as they couldn't work out of it might be twins or not 😳

catnip99 · 02/06/2020 19:55

Hi everyone I'm a bit late to the party, hoping it's okay that I jump on this thread Smile 11+2 with my first baby, got my 12 week scan on the 8th of June, really nervous and dissapointed about having to go alone.
I'm due end of December so if I go overdue my baby will be a 2021 child so can't really say what year they're going to arrive in hahaha

StephS1984 · 02/06/2020 20:31

@Brodijen, per nhs it’s only a be careful, not avoid. I find this web page useful www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/foods-to-avoid-pregnant/

As long as you aren’t eating it all the time, once shouldn’t matter.

Baba11 · 02/06/2020 20:36

@BabyDust13 twins... how exciting...
