@lilypad88 no real sickness for me either, 7 +3 in. I have a few symptoms - oily skin, fast heart, slightly fuller boobs - but no nausea. I was really tired yesterday and felt a bit sick but wasn't sure if it was just in my head. I spoke to my sister and she said she didn't have any real nausea with her 3 so I feel a bit comforted by that. Never wanted to be sick before!

lilypad88 · 01/06/2020 19:51

Ah also, I had the call with the nurse earlier on and she said to do a self referral for maternity, have you done that already? She wasn't super helpful unfortunately, wouldn't let me speak 🤨 how does that work? Can I still choose a practitioner? Are they taking everything in charge from there? I'm so lost 🤪

lilypad88 · 01/06/2020 19:53

@MissHoney85 oh yea that's exactly how I feel sometimes, kinda sick and tired but not sure if it's in my head lol... Yea in a way I hope I don't have those, as long as belly is growing ^^

BabyG123 · 01/06/2020 20:11

With my son I had no symptoms and no nausea or sickness. This ones the opposite, pregnancy sucked me in with a easy ride first time 🥰👶🏼

@BabyG123 oh lovely! 😍 I hope I'll have an easy one too!!

Carabu1 · 01/06/2020 21:04

@lilypad88 How far on are you? It may yet come! Saying that, I’m 9+4 and have no real symptoms at all thus far. My boobs are a bit bigger, and I get tired more easily and that’s about it...! To begin with it was stressing me out, but the more I read online the less it seemed like there was that much actual scientific evidence for the ‘strong symptoms = healthy pregnancy’ theory. Let’s hope we’re just lucky!!! It does make it feel like there’s not much going on though!

Baba11 · 01/06/2020 21:12

@MissHoney85 are you going into school? I have been told because I drive in less of a risk so still need to go in. However I look like I'm 5 months pregnant. I don't know how I'm going to hide it!

Baba11 · 01/06/2020 21:13

@Carabu1 not long for your 13 week scan. I'm so excited to start seeing scan pics
Feel like once this trimester is over we will be able to enjoy it

Baba11 · 01/06/2020 21:14

*12 week scan

MissHoney85 · 01/06/2020 21:16

@Baba11 I'm not going in. You absolutely don't have to go in if you don't want to, don't let your school tell you that you do - the government guidance is clear, as is the unions'. All pregnant women are clinically vulnerable and therefore have the right to work from home or be given an alternative role.

BabyG123 · 01/06/2020 21:31

@MissHoney85 the only guidance I've seen on the rcog site is 28 weeks plus is vulnerable. Where did you find this info?

@MayBug2020 I don’t know officially yet but according to my dates I am 6+6. How have u been feeling? It’s mad isn’t it. I don’t think I’m out the woods yet unfortunately lol. With my first I think it lasted till just after 12 weeks then disappeared miraculously... I know every pregnancy is different I’m just hoping the nausea eases soon :S. Looks like we are at similar stages!

Carabu1 · 01/06/2020 21:39

@Baba11 - 3 weeks today!!! I both can’t wait and already feel nervous. It will be brilliant to finally be able to tell parents etc...haven’t wanted to get their hopes up in case it goes tits up!

Hope you find something suitably covering for school! And that it goes well. I’d def check with your union if you’re not sure about going back; some of my friends haven’t/aren’t.

MissHoney85 · 01/06/2020 21:41

@BabyG123 www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-implementing-protective-measures-in-education-and-childcare-settings/coronavirus-covid-19-implementing-protective-measures-in-education-and-childcare-settings#shielded-and-clinically-vulnerable-adults it says clinically vulnerable adults, and links to a document which lists pregnant women as vulnerable (no mention of gestation)

Also union guidance from all the big teaching unions e.g. neu.org.uk/coronavirus-what-you-need-know-pregnancy-and-maternity

lilypad88 · 01/06/2020 21:46

@Carabu1 I'm 5 weeks today. Yea I'm the same so far but I'm still very early though... might kick in next week, who knows lol but yea true, just feels like not much is going on xD but got my early scan booked in 2 weeks so hopefully will be able to see some movement in there!

Baba11 · 01/06/2020 21:56

Thanks @MissHoney85 and @Carabu1 I will have a word with my head and Union.

The lockdown has been a blessing in some ways, in that I can rest but not so in others. Feel like time is going so slow. Been wishing these weeks away.

doji789 · 01/06/2020 21:57

Thanks @babyg123 I used this company for a 4D scan with my son so I'll definitely have a look into it thank you! :-) x

Hopefulmummie · 01/06/2020 22:00

So found our window to the womb don't scan u til 7 weeks unless you've history of ectopic pregnancy. Might have to search another private scan

Hopefulmummie · 01/06/2020 22:27

How is everyone today? I've been out most of the day so just getting caught up x

lilypad88 · 01/06/2020 22:27

@Hopefulmummie mine is doing it from 6 weeks, so yea you should look for another one! How you feeling tonight girl? X

Hopefulmummie · 01/06/2020 22:29

@lilypad88 it says 6 on their website but I messaged them and they said 7.
Alot better thank you. It is our 1st wedding anniversary today so I've been out most of the day which has taken my mind of things. Bleeding isn't getting any heavier which is good and it's still a brown colour

BabyG123 · 01/06/2020 22:32

@MissHoney85 bloody conflicting advise like I feel there has been the majority if lock down. I can't work from home so have to work but never sure where I stand! I'll have a read. Thank you!

@Hopefulmummie I don't think anyone scans before as no heart beat seen until then

@Lilypad2020 Just wanted to say about the cat litter - don't risk it! I've got a family member who was born blind in one eye because of toxoplasmosis from mum changing cat litter during the pregnancy...

Not worth it IMO!

MissHoney85 · 02/06/2020 06:06

@BabyG123 I know, it's so frustrating isn't it. I'd go with what the government says over the RCOG as it's the govt that makes the law - the RCOG is just advising. (And we know what this govt thinks of scientific advice!)

MayBug2020 · 02/06/2020 06:12

@Lollipop93 yes we are I am 6+6 today but could be a few days different at the 12 week scan. I woke up this morning feeling really sick and currently in the bathroom wondering if I will be sick or not. I tried to wake up earlier and have a ginger biscuit but that seemed to make it worse. Are you also really tired? X
