@Lollipop93 yea I'm the same! So confused!! 😫 Also because in my case I ovulated later than the 2 "standard" weeks, so my app says 5 weeks because obviously my period were far back.. so silly!!

@Jellybean252 fingers crossed it keeps going that way and that tomoz is gone!! Yea, true, I guess we'll keep very simple and defo not over the top type of announcement.

BabyG123 · 27/05/2020 19:23

@Lollipop93 mad isn't it. The first day. My last period was 31st March which makes me 8+1 BUT my cycles are long so I ovulate later than the average.

Nhs due date 5th January
My due date I calculated 14th January.

The scan clarifies dates but yes until that scan it's a bit up in the air which I guess is why the first dating scan is 10-14 weeks.

And warm baths are fine throughout but hot a no no.

@Jellybean252 sorry I haven’t been on here for a couple of days but wanted to reach out and check how you are? I know the waiting game is so hard. I have my second scan on Friday and this week of waiting has been hard but try and keep yourself busy - easier send than done xx

Scot96 · 27/05/2020 19:33

@Beautybake5 I posted on here earlier about this - mine went from being 3+ weeks, down to 2-3 weeks. I’ve spoken to a midwife this afternoon about it, and she said don’t pay too much attention to the digital tests - they can be inaccurate about how many weeks. So as long as you’re healthy otherwise, there’s nothing to worry about and baby should be progressing fine. I’ve just booked in for a 7 week scan (privately), and will be nervous until then - but she definitely put my mind at rest re the tests. So Sit back, relax and take it easy - best advice I’ve been given!

Carabu1 · 27/05/2020 19:36

@Jellybean252 I know how worried you just be - thinking of you, and really hoping things turn the corner for you. X

Beautybake5 · 27/05/2020 19:39

@scot96 thankyou, yes I've tried to just relax and not stress about it, I've also got a scan for 2 weeks time so fingers crossed! I did some googling which said the clearblue are quite unreliable so I've tried not to worry too much! Thanks again x

Skyla01 · 27/05/2020 20:12

@Lollipop93 your gestation is always counted from the first day if your last period. So technically the first few weeks (up until ovulation) you aren't even actually pregnant. The calculators can be inaccurate as they assume you ovulate 14 days after period starts, however some women ovulate on day 10, others day 20 etc. So if you add 2 weeks on to your known ovulation date 4 weeks ago that = 6 weeks gestation for you.

Ivoryjane · 27/05/2020 20:23

@Jellybean252 I'm sorry you have to play the waiting game again now, I know how tough that is. I have my second scan on Fri so I'm hoping things have progressed and I know more about how far along I am.
Look after yourself for the next while, it's an emotional one and hard to try focus on anything else. Tbh my little 20 month is what kept me going, no time for sitting dwelling on things. So FX for you and I hope the 2 weeks fly by and you get good news x

@Ivoryjane hi sorry I just saw your post about your second scan - I haven’t kept up with the messages and wondered if you could explain your experience with your first scan? I have my second scan on Friday too as my first one should I wasn’t as far as I thought (showed 5 weeks and not 7) so not baby or heartbeat was seen :( x

MayBug2020 · 27/05/2020 20:53

@Babyboom1990 I am afriad I can’t speak from experience but I know you can get discharge throughout pregnancy and it can change depending on hormones. Maybe check with your MW? Xx

Ivoryjane · 27/05/2020 21:05

Hi @MayBug2020 ya no problem. I was sent for scan in EPU for some bleeding and pain in my lower abdomen. They did an internal and I thought I was 6+4 that day. They saw a baby and I could see heartbeat flickering on screen, didn't get to hear it. They said though that it looked very small and maybe my dates were off. But I'm not sure how cos if anything I have a short cycle so not really sure!
Hopefully for you it is a case that you were only 5 weeks and if so would have been too early to see anything at that stage I think. Are you sure with your dates?
I didn't ask on the day how many days or weeks she thought I was out, I'm sorry now I didn't cos I would be fairly sure of my cycles- average 25/26 days. Plus as I was thinking maybe they could only be talking out by a few days who knows I stupidly didn't ask. But I guess I will know more Fri.
Did they do a urine test or blood test for you? FX for you that it is just a case of dates and as my SIL said to me sometimes early scans are really hard to predict dates and see anything major and that's why scans generally aren't done until 12 weeks. That everybody is different. Hope you are ok xx

Ivory88 · 27/05/2020 23:03

@inthestars90 I’m a day behind :) I believe I ovulated on the 28th, and 1st day of period was the 9th! I’m also a little confused as to what my due date is because it’s different depending on which of the above you use. But I guess we will find out soon enough!

Hope everyone is doing ok. I’m suffering a bit from back pain at the moment, it’s particularly bad when I am having my dinner strangely (May just be the timing). Anyone else getting back pain?

Sunshinedahlia · 28/05/2020 07:11

Hi @Ivory88 I had bad back ache at around 4w+2/3 and a bit yesterday (5w).
With the morning sickness, does anyone feel like their stomach is really empty when they wake up?

lilypad88 · 28/05/2020 07:12

@Ivory88 I do! I was actually wondering if it's normal, I've always had some mild level of backache (bas posture I guess) but since I'm pregnant I wake up with a sharp backache, tend to go away during the day and then come back in the evening. I hope it's normal...

lilypad88 · 28/05/2020 07:15

@Sunshinedahlia Yes! Been like that for me for the last 2 days I'm 5 weeks too, I don't feel like craving food though yet, just this feeling of empty stomach all the time even sometimes right after a meal

Sunshinedahlia · 28/05/2020 08:06

@Ivory88 I guess so! My back ache came and went at different times of day.
@lilypad88 I had a really empty stomach feeling this morning, so I ate some dry cereal straight away. Then it went away a bit and I ate a joghurt about 45 minutes ago, and now I have a really nauseous feeling in my throat and jaw. 🤢
It‘s kind of funny, because yesterday I was wondering if I might not get morning sickness! Oh well ☺️ I suppose I will go and buy some ginger tea today! When is your due date?

Ivory88 · 28/05/2020 08:06

@lilypad88 I also suffer from back pain when I have a period, so I suspect it must be related. Must be horrible to wake up with it :(

@Sunshinedahlia yes, I do. It’s a horrible feeling! I started with sickness only every now and then, but now I’m around 6-7 weeks and I just feel sick all day

Sunshinedahlia · 28/05/2020 08:18

@Ivory88 oh no, poor you! Does nothing work to make you feel a bit less sick?

Carabu1 · 28/05/2020 09:02

@Babyboom1990 - don’t know how helpful this is, as I’m only 9 weeks with my first, but I’ve def had some yellow discharge (not smelly or infectious looking...just...yellow). I have been told it’s quite normal. In my case, I think it’s linked to the constipation I’ve been having, as it mainly come when I finally do go (sorry tmi!)

MarvEll · 28/05/2020 09:20

I've been wondering the same thing about yellow stuff @babyboom1990 ! Mine looks the same as just before my period and I've had a tiny bit of pink... But I guess it's quite common and it hasn't got any stronger.. I'm keeping an eye on it, but it does stress me out a little

PinkBlossom22 · 28/05/2020 10:38

Can anyone recommend a good pregnancy tracking app please?

lilypad88 · 28/05/2020 10:56

@Sunshinedahlia yea it's strange, all messed up xD I don't have morning sickness, but I had 2 days of feeling nauseous in laate afternoon though... I'm due around 27th of Jan

Finally booked my early scan for 9th of June! Can't wait now, something to look forward in this uncertain time!

BabyG123 · 28/05/2020 12:08

@PinkBlossom22 I use Emma's diary, you also get freebies through boots which are handy. Little samples etc.

I'm completely off my food at the moment yet feeling mega bloated. Even look pregnant. Is this because my DS1 is still a baby so body is like boom have another bump lass or just bloat?!
