@BabyDust13 sorry to hear about the cramps, it may just be your body stretching. F.C. it is all ok. Hopefully they can get you in for a scan ASAP to put your mind at rest.

Baba11 · 26/05/2020 11:55

@Jellybean252 that's good that they were able to give you a scan the next day. Bleeding can be common in early pregnancy and is normally worrying when coupled with cramps. Try and take it easy and F.C. all is ok chick

Jellybean252 · 26/05/2020 12:43

@Baba11 thankyou for your kind words. I'm trying not to think about the scan too much but who am I kidding!

BabyDust13 · 26/05/2020 13:12

@Baba11 the doctor has referred me for an early scan hopefully it will be tomorrow but I'm waiting for a phone call 🤞🏼

Baba11 · 26/05/2020 13:13

Fingers crossed for you both.

BabyG123 · 26/05/2020 13:48

@Jellybean252 how many weeks are you? Didn't want to read and run but I hope you're ok xx

@Jellybean252 I hope all goes ok with your scan best to get these things checked ☺️

Jellybean252 · 26/05/2020 14:40

The bleeding got worse so I'm making my way to A and E

Baba11 · 26/05/2020 14:43

@Jellybean252 so sorry to hear that chick.
Best to get checked out. Will keep F.C. for you

Hi everyone! I was on December babies but I'm actually due early January! Can I join the Facebook group? My daughters from 2.5 years ago has been amazing! Hope everyone is well and not too sicky (I am Confused) x

Carabu1 · 26/05/2020 18:05

@Jellybean252 I’m so sorry you’re going through that - I have my fingers crossed for you.

MarvEll · 26/05/2020 18:19

Hello everyone, been lurking here for a while! Such a useful group to be stalking.

@Jellybean252 hope you're ok, sending love.

I'm 6 weeks by my calculations altho I think the NHS have me a week ahead. Haven't had any appointments but have had dates for booking in & scan.

I've just had a letter saying I'm due for the Detailed Anatomy Scan, which Google informs me is 20 weeks... Has anyone else had to book these appointments really early or do you think something's amiss?

I've tried phoning but the number on the letter is apparently wrong but no one answered when I got transferred, so slightly confused! Seems very early to he booking appointments that far ahead? Is it possible to have an early detailed scan? Can't imagine there'd be much to see!

gb000 · 26/05/2020 18:33

@Jellybean252 hope you are ok chick. @BabyDust13 good luck tomorrow as well! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

gb000 · 26/05/2020 18:35

@ladiebirdie our dates match almost exactly! I will be 9 weeks on the 2nd. Have booked in for another scan on the 1st to reassure myself. Fingers crossed for us both! I will update you 🙂

Jellybean252 · 26/05/2020 19:11

Thankyou ladies
The hospital visit was pointless - I still know nothing. They didn't do a scan as the dept had closed. They couldn't tell me if I'm miscarrying or not. They did do an pregnancy test that came back positive- although the consultant said that it doesn't really mean anything as I could have mis carried but the hormone level can stay high for up to 2 weeks.

So yeah very frustrating. I'll find out more at the scan tomorrow I don't feel very hopeful though.

Did any of you ladies get implementation bleeding? If so how much did you bleed?

Jellybean252 · 26/05/2020 19:12

And also if anyone has had a miscarriage what was the bleeding like then and what were your pain levels like?

Thankyou in advance

TerribleImagination · 26/05/2020 19:20

Hi @Jellybean252 and everyone 👋🏻

I’ve been waiting until my 8 week scan on Friday to join, but lurking until then and couldn’t not reply to your message. I’m so sorry you’re going through this worrying time lovey! I had a MC in December at 5.5 weeks and the pain was unmistakable (in my case). For me the pain started first and then the bleeding, which was heavy like a period starting, a mixture of dark and bright red and I passed the sac later on the same day that it all started.

I’ve heard it’s quite common to have a bit of a bleed around when your period would be due, which as you’re 8 weeks would be around now! The general rule of thumb is bleeding alone isn’t always a bad thing, same with pain, but both together isn’t generally a good sign (my best mate is a midwife, so she tells me this when I have early pregnancy anxiety).

I hope this helps a bit lovey and I really hope your scan tomorrow is totally normal and healthy! Sending love ❤️

TerribleImagination · 26/05/2020 19:22

Forgot to say pain wise it was like really bad period pains, but the kind that come in waves and make you double over. They didn’t go after I took paracetamol, which is when I knew something was wrong.

BabyG123 · 26/05/2020 19:59

@Jellybean252 sending a virtual hug and hope 🤞🏼

@terribleimagination
Firstly your @name made me chuckle Grin

Secondly, sorry to hear about your MC and congratulations on your pregnancy!
Thank you for being so detailed. It helps when you don't even know what to expect.
I experienced very mild lower abdominal pains earlier today but nothing that I would consider taking pain killers for and now I have no pain. It's the bleeding that concerns me as it just keeps on coming as if I'm about to have my period.
I can't take my mind off it at all so it's going to be a long time.

It's so bizarre how we can find comfort in a stranger on the internet as I have done today! Thank you for your kind words

Brodijen · 26/05/2020 20:06

@Jellybean252 My heart goes out to you, and I hope tomorrow goes well for you. I had a missed miscarraige last year and my bleed was very minimal. I also had very little pain. I think everyone’s miscarraige can be different. I do know someone who bled throughout their pregnancy and though it was very scary for her and she had to completely rest, she did give birth to a healthy baby. Fingers crossed for you xx

Jellybean252 · 26/05/2020 20:50

@brodijen
Oh gosh so sorry to hear that. I think I fall into that category if I'm miscarrying (hopefully not).
I just need to the scan to happen asap so I know what's what. Tomorrow afternoon seems so far away.

Baba11 · 26/05/2020 21:02

@Jellybean252 it's a shame they couldn't scan you but you still have your appointment tomorrow. So F.C. it is just implantation bleeding. I'm sure your very stressed out but try and rest and sleep tmrw away. We are all thinking of you.

dixiedo · 26/05/2020 21:19

Hello everyone.
I'm from the Christmas babies thread but I'm due in January (1st) I haven't posted in a while as I have been really poorly, bad sickness, suspected HG prescribed tablets (which I haven't took yet) then all of a sudden it disappeared along with the rest of my symptoms, I was convinced I had a MMC so I've been a bit AWOL. I had another scan today and all is good and my sickness has returned although not as bad !
I've had a 6+6 and 8+4 scan. Couldn't recommend window to the womb anymore where I went today. It was just fab, they were so lovely. I went to ultrasound direct the first time and I wasn't happy.
Anyway then just wanted to pop on and say hi to you all and I hope I can join!
I'm 8+4 and I have 2 DS 8 and 5 this is my DP first baby.

@Jellybean252 I feel a bit rubbish coming on to introduce myself when you're not having the best day. I am thinking of you and if it makes you feel any better I bled in the early stages with DS1 and I bled all the way through with DS2 and they're both great. Thinking of you. X
