I have been really scared with this pregnancy and freaked out a little but today I've calmed down so much. I was happy DP was so happy and it's relieved me a lot.

I'll post the 6 +6 scan now. The difference was crazy !
I had the 6 week one abdominal but today I chose to have the scan internally as I drank so much before the scan I was in a lot of pain. I've had recurrent UTIs since before my BFP and four lots of antibiotics now. It was just so painful my bladder was going to burst and I knew I wouldn't be able to relax and enjoy the scan so I asked if I could just go straight for the internal. It was really clear much more enjoyable and we could see the baby moving and wriggling. Very cute.

This is the 6+6
So the bright circle is the egg yolk and the head is next to the circle I think baby was 9mm here and is now 1.9cm.

Like others have said, plenty of women bleed in perfectly healthy pregnancies. A close friend of mine had period like bleeding around 7.5 weeks and was convinced she was losing the baby, but all was fine and he’s a year old now! Crossing everything for you 🤞🏻❤️

@dixiedo they change so fast. I had internal last time up to 12 weeks. Much more clear. And yes I had 3 private before 12 weeks with DS1 as was so Paranoid. Trying to be chilled this time and we've booked 11+4 so DH can come and see the first scan. 3 weeks 4 days to go 🤦🏼‍♀️ the biggest thing stopping me is not being able to get a babysitter!!! I love them.

@Jellybean252 sorry to hear what you've been through, I will be thinking of you. Hopefully the lack of pain is a good sign.

@TommyShelby congratulations I had my positive test come back last week and from the online calculators it says I'm due 28th January

I've booked in for a early scan on the 19th June has anybody had one of these? I'm quite a anxious person so it is just to reassure me. I feel like I started off with really sore boobs and now it seems to be on and off mainly sore when they are touched rather than feeling achy all over, is this normal?

Hi ladies! Is it okay for me to join? I'm so new to all this, first baby! and now that I'm not in the "conception" section anymore, I feel a bit lonely... with so many questions and doubts!... Waiting to see if the pregnancy will stick. Got my BFP 4 days ago at 12 DPO, due around end of Jan.

@lilypad88 so when you have your midwife appt and hospital etc they will write this in your notes and things, you will be term at 40 weeks.
So 6+6 is 6 weeks 6 days. Xx

Do you guys book an appointment with GP straight away? I don't know how long I should wait... I kinda give myself a week or so before ordering a blood test

@Pricey1102 same as you, pretty anxious by nature... How did you book your early scan? With GP or did you go private?

@lilypad88 I rang my gp yesterday but they didn't mention coming in for a blood test just that I would get my letter out with my date for my first booking appointments

When I went to my GP with my previous pregnancy she just took my blood pressure and said FRER are more sensitive to what they use in GP practice so no need to pee on more sticks. No bloods were taken. I was told to self refer to which ever hospital I wanted to ( I went for our closest one). Which I did online and I was called by a midwife later the same day to book my booking in appointment. I think that's when they take bloods etc

I only just registered at a new doctors yday, I handed my forms in and told them I'm early days pregnant. She said they will tell me about the midwife stuff when I'm 6-8 weeks. So going to call them up end of this week and see if I'm all set up, etc :)

@lilypad88 I booked my scan privately through heybaby4D, not sure if they have them all over but i know a lot of people use window to the womb, my friend had recommended it because she's pregnant and said her partner hasnt been able to go to the scans luckily she is due next month so he was there for the first one. I really want my husband to come so booked it for that and also to ease my anxiety

I'm about 5 weeks according to my apps, but I'm still so confused by it all... So when you guys talk about your scans, for example 6+6, is this counting from first day of last period as well then?

@lilypad88 I booked a private early scan at window to the womb for 8+3 just because I'm a bit anxious and I didn't want my OH to miss it

Yeah! It's quite the anticlimax.after all the stressing you feel you deserve something. Maybe a badge!

But my booking in appointment for DS was great and midwife was lovely. I have mine booked for next Thursday and will be done over the phone at this point.

And yes all dates are measured from the first day of your last period. So at my booking in appointment I'll be 5 +5, 5 weeks and 5 days from the first day of my last period

@lilypad88 yeah so the day of your missed. Period your already 4 weeks. It confused me too.

Has anyone told their families yet? I know I'm still early but we're super close with mine and DH family and it's killing me not telling them lol
We have our private scan booked for 21st June and I'll be 8 weeks so I think we will tell them after that

@Hopefulmummie dp told his dad already, he's the only one who knows, he told him on the first day I got my BFP 🤣 obviously telling him it's still early days but because his dad is getting old and had some health issues recently so he wanted him to know straight away. Probably gonna tell his sister after I reach the 6 weeks. I personally gonna tell my parents face to face in a few weeks, I want to be a bit more advanced before telling my parents, also because I want to surprise them. Have you thought yet how and when to announce it?

@lilypad88 my scan is on the 13th June feels like ages away but I've had some bad cramps with a little bit of bleeding lately so my doctor has referred me for an early scan as well hoping that will be today or tomorrow

@lily88 aww lovely. I do want to tell my family soon but would feel better once I had a scan done. It's on father's day so thinking of getting a card and putting the scan in it and giving it to them Infront of each family
