@mummy2b04 it was £69. I'm also 29 😁x

mummy2b04 · 24/05/2020 19:39

@whatsthecraic91! Snap, 29 and due similar time! That’s really not that much - do you think it was worth it ?

I’ve just been doing some research into some in my area !

whatsthecraic91 · 24/05/2020 19:44

@mummy2b04 defo I had bad nausea up until I had the scan and now it's gone so it was obviously anxiety! Really put my mind at ease x

Mumof4andahalf · 24/05/2020 20:16

@PastaBolognaise give 111 a call if youve not got a midwife, I'm sure baby is well protected but if you're worried get checked X

Padawan21 · 24/05/2020 20:45

Hi @mummy2b04 and thank you ☺️ It’s very surreal, amazing but a bit lonely and scary... I don’t have family nearby and don’t want to tell anyone until we’ve had a scan done. We’ve booked a private one for 3 weeks time because I’m desperate to have DP there for the first one at least, and the anxiety of waiting for the NHS one will be too much. Even waiting 3 more weeks feels hard but don’t want to risk a panic by going too early.
Crikey, we were so caught up in trying to get a BFP (we were trying a while) we never stopped to think what it would be like if we ever got one 😂

Oh, can’t remember how we found it but Window to the Womb have a £59 offer on early scans, I’ll try and figure it out and post back in case it’s useful for anyone. It wasn’t a code tho 🤔

BabyG123 · 24/05/2020 21:02

Just booked our private scan for 11+4 just before our nhs scan so hubby can come 🥰

Excited, scared, nervous, anxious. 3 weeks 6 days to go!!!

@mummy2b04

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Im due 24th January according to GP so we're really close! I have booked a private scan for the 6th June and we're so desperately hoping it all goes well and then we will tell just our parents as we will only be 7 weeks. I have spent so long trying and struggling with the emotions of getting pregnant and now it feels like these scans are a million miles away! What are your plans?

Hopingtomeetmymiracle · 24/05/2020 22:07

@Carabu1 Congratulations on your pregnancy too! How far gone were you when you found it? Its so hard isn't it - every little twinge and im like oh here we go, I really need to try and relax!

ZRS86 · 24/05/2020 22:32

@hopingtomeetmymiracle I’m also due on 24th January so have the same due date as you. I’ve also booked a scan for 6th June! Can’t wait to have the scan and check that things are ok. We’re then planning on telling parents but no-one else until the NHS scan.

mummasoph · 24/05/2020 22:55

Just got my blood results back girls from suspected ectopic pregnancy scare, and my hcg levels have quadrupled in the last 48 hours so all is good! So relieved got a scan Friday morning just to ensure everything is as it should be! Feeling very thankful right now 😊🙌🏽

Hopefulmummie · 24/05/2020 23:02

@mummy2b04 congratulations! My due date works out at 31st January so we are quite close

I'm thinking of booking an early private scan at 8 weeks at least then I'll know DH can come in with me.

I've been having really sore cramps and back pain tonight which just worries me but I've read this is normal?

BabyG123 · 24/05/2020 23:03

@mummasoph 😘

@mummy2b04 we haven’t told anyone yet! I really want to tell my family but my other half wants to wait until the scan. As horrible as lock down is it is actually helping with not having to make excuses about not drinking at dinner with family and friends!! We got very lucky and it was 2 months after stopping the pill. Was not expecting it! How about you?

MrsF111 · 25/05/2020 08:02

@mummasoph yay such good news!

Carabu1 · 25/05/2020 08:34

@Hopingtomeetmymiracle because I was having treatment I tested the day after my period was due - so quite early! The first 2 weeks were def the worst for the anxiety, esp as I had brown spotting at 6 weeks. Now I’m 8 weeks in I feel sooo much better - but don’t think I’ll relax completely until it’s all over, ha. It would help if the hospital we get in touch and give me some dates for appts to aim for - hoping when they do get round to it it’ll be a quick turnaround!

Sunshinedahlia · 25/05/2020 08:39

Great news @mummasoph
I just booked my first scan for 19th June. It’ll be 8 weeks then. Seems such a long way away! Is that normally the first appointment or did anyone see their doctor before then?

Hopefulmummie · 25/05/2020 09:23

I took another test this morning- IC and there's no line even though I got a positive yesterday from a clear blue digital.

Has this ever happened anyone?

StephS1984 · 25/05/2020 09:29

@Hopefulmummie, different brands of tests have different levels of sensitivity, so sometimes it can pick up on one but not on another. The box/ enclosed leaflet should say what the sensitivity is. Hope that helps

NMH19 · 25/05/2020 10:06

Hi everyone!

Congratulations to you all!!

I’m new to Mumsnet I got my BFP 16/5 my due date is end of Jan 26th/27th so I’m around 5weeks. I hope you don’t mind me joining?

This is my 1st pregnancy and I’m so worried. From the 21/5 I’ve been spotting. Last night I woke with awful lower abdominal cramps and spotting has moved from pink/brown to more red but still very little and no clots. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I’m hoping it’s not what I think it is 🙈

Hopefulmummie · 25/05/2020 10:11

@nmh19 welcome and congratulations! I only got my bfp yesterday so due 31st jan so we are quite similar. This is my 1st too

I had really bad cramps and backache last night worse than AF cramps. Try not to worry and relax but maybe seek advice if it gets any worse

Wheezeymcleazy · 25/05/2020 10:41

@NMH19 I'd call a midwife or the EPU and explain the pain and bleeding. They night be able to get you in for a check up x

NMH19 · 25/05/2020 10:57

@Hopefulmummie Congratulations ❤️ I hope it goes well for you.

@Wheezeymcleazy I spoke with them last week and said they wouldn’t see me before 6 weeks and to look out for signs of ectopic but I have no heavy bleeding and pain is central apart from when it radiates into groins. I hoping there’s just a lot of stretching going on 🙈 x

Beni07 · 25/05/2020 12:28

Hello everyoneSmile congrats to all of you! Flowers
I hope you don’t mind me joining. I got my BFP (big fat positive) couple days ago. Its my second pregnancy , first ended with miscarriage . Very excited and very anxious at the same time, but I am positive Smile Can you recommend me where to go for early scan , I am from London ?

Hopefulmummie · 25/05/2020 12:33

@beni07 congratulations on your news.

I'm booking an 8 week scan with window to the womb I think they have clinics throughout the UK you can try there. It's £79 for the dating scan

Hopingtomeetmymiracle · 25/05/2020 13:51

@ZRS86 Oh wow congratulations!

The wait is driving me insane but hopefully it will all be worth it! Do you have many symptoms?
