@byemmacampbell its lockdown girls! With like 153 membersSmile

Carabu1 · 24/05/2020 09:17

@orangetangerines - congratulations! Don’t worry too much about symptoms - I haven’t had any (like any at all!) and at my 8 week scan on Friday everything looked good. It was psyching me out a bit how I’ll everyone else seems to be, but hoping I’m just lucky!

orangetangerines · 24/05/2020 09:35

@Carabu1 i've been extremely tired but thats about it! With my DD i had every symptom under the sun and also had a hematoma so bled throughout pregnancy, this is just so different and although i'm extremely pleased to not be sick every twenty minutes i'm still worried hahah! Congratulations! Who did you have your scan with? I'm thinking about going to WTTW to put my mind at ease

Carabu1 · 24/05/2020 09:54

@orangetangerines - I used WTTW and they were really good. And let me take my husband in too. I’m glad I did because what with this being my 1st I’m very anxious, and the fact it all looked fine has reassured me, and made the wait to the nhs scan seem less interminable!

StephS1984 · 24/05/2020 10:23

Morning everyone, hope you all had an ok night sleep. Is anyone struggling with taking their pregnancy vitamin tablets?

My routine has always been vitamins before bed, so last night I went to bed a bit later (had been napping throughout the day- so not too tired) I started to take my tablet and my morning sickness came back. I never had this with my previous pregnancy, but these tablets are different (boots own brand and have ginger in) and I have been struggling taking them.

Can anyone recommend their vitamins, that Don’t have ginger in, I know they are gonna be large no matter what brand they are?

Thanks xx

FirstTimeMumAt31 · 24/05/2020 11:08

@Littlebump2018 I have suffered with really bad sickness since I found out I was pregnant 3 weeks ago- actually vomiting most mornings and at one point had to get the travel bands as I didn't actually know how I was going to cope. They are my new fashion accessories lately! My smell is also unreal- the fridge turns my stomach every time I open it!

@Carabu1 thanks so much! Defo still a big shock lol, I did joke at the start cus of the twins on both of my parents side but I never ever actually thought it! Delighted though to be honest. Me and my partner just keep smirking at each other since we found out and bursting out laughing 🤣🙈

mummasoph · 24/05/2020 11:32

@StephS1984 I take Asda's own pregnancy multivitamins think they're £3.50 for a pack of 60 and although they're quite big I find them easy to take! Hope this helps 😊

Hopingtomeetmymiracle · 24/05/2020 12:12

Hi All,

Im new here as was over the moon to find out that I am pregnant just 5 days ago after trying for over two years and about to start IVF. I am 5 weeks today according to apps and dates and I just feel so anxious that it won't work out for me. Im worried because I don't seem to have many symptoms and if I do - they come and go. The only symptoms I have had are sore nipples, Insomnia, feeling thirsty and a little dizziness but these symptoms aren't strong. I practically feel normal all the time. Is it normal at only 5 weeks to have minimal symptoms that come and go? I just want this to work out so badly and Im terrified it won't.

Thanks for reading!

StephS1984 · 24/05/2020 13:19

Congratulations @Hopingtomeetmymiracle, symptoms do change all the time and I found that for me, to start with they were milder, as the weeks pass they are increasing. Every pregnancy is different and the worry is there, but try to stay positive 😀.

StephS1984 · 24/05/2020 13:20

Thanks @mummasoph

inthestars90 · 24/05/2020 13:32

@StephS1984 I recommend the seven seas trying for a baby. I take them at night and you can take them up to 12 weeks pregnant (maybe beyond not sure why you couldn't) Anyway they are tiny which I love about them and have days of the week on.

Congrats @Hopingtomeetmymiracle that's amazing! That sounds like quite a few symptoms and I have seen a lot of people saying at 6 weeks they ramp up x

Mumof4andahalf · 24/05/2020 14:05

@StephS1984 I'm taking boots £3.50 and they're tiny

@Hopingtomeetmymiracle - congratulations! Like you this has been a long road for me, and I’m now 8+3 (had a good scan on Friday at 8+1). Also like you I have no symptoms! Everyone kept saying early on ‘oh they’ll come’ but they still haven’t. Tbh I’ve stopped worrying so much about it - everything seems normal, so I’m either lucky or about to get a nasty shock in the coming weeks...!

MayBug2020 · 24/05/2020 17:55

@Hopefulmummie congratulations!!! How exciting! The first thing you need to do is contact your GP or complete a self referral form online for your locate hospital. It al depends on what area you are in. Your GP should be able to point you to the location of the self referral site if needed. They will then take some information from you and arrange your first appointment with a midwife. :)

Hopefulmummie · 24/05/2020 18:07

@maybug2020 great thank you I have just found the self referral form but will contact my gp on Tuesday as I was on prescriped folic acid as my levels were low so not sure if this will need upped.

I really hope my DH will be aloud into the scan when the time comes. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Hi guys,

I’m brand new to this so hi! I’ve found these posts so relatable over the past few weeks in my TTW and most of them are thoughts I’ve had!

Today I got my BFP at 17dpo, which would make my due date 29th January! I was so over the moon! I just cried and shook!

How long does it take to sink in that you are actually pregnant? I was convinced that it had worked this month as I had cramps that felt different about a week after ovulation. Then my boobs started to feel so sore to touch- I knocked in two days ago and I yelped! But you always tell yourself that it’s your mind playing tricks on you don’t you ? I’m just so glad it had worked!

I just keep thinking about a million and one questions all at once today! It’s nice to know it’s not just me thinking at a million miles an hour

@Hopefulmummie it’s nice to see someone else is as happy as me today ! Congratulations! Does anyone know about if DH can go into scans ?

@Hopingtomeetmymiracle Amazing news! Again we’re about the same time! When are you planning on telling family / close friends?

whatsthecraic91 · 24/05/2020 18:48

@mummy2b04 hey!! Its only felt real for me today as I had an early scan and I'm 8 weeks. Until you see the little bean on the screen you don't believe it 😂 partners aren't allowed to scans in hospitals at present but I booked a private one with window to the womb and my partner was allowed in. All the best x

MrsF111 · 24/05/2020 19:00

@mummy2b04 it still doesn’t feel really to me! I’m 6 weeks according to my last period but I only found out on Friday. I keep looking at the photo I took of the test Grin. I have sore nipples and I’m really tired but that’s it. I did the self referral at the local hospital so just waiting for them to tell me my appointment date, think it will feel more real then!

PastaBolognaise · 24/05/2020 19:08

My son just threw a cricket ball straight at my lower abdomen about an hour ago. It smacked me so hard I was doubled over and winded. It now feels bruised. I’m really worried about what damage it could have done :-(

mummy2b04 · 24/05/2020 19:08

@whatsthecraic91 that private scan sounds good and the fact that your partner can go in is amazing ! I think I’ll consider doing that ! Was it expensive ?

@MrsF111 same ! I keep staring at the test too ! Have either of you told people yet ? If so how did you do it ?

I’m excited to tell people, but just decided when too !

How long had you been trying ?

BabyG123 · 24/05/2020 19:17

@PastaBolognaise if you're worried definately get checked but I thought I'd share my story to make you feel better. With DS1 I was in a serious car accident at 12 weeks pregnant (50mph crash) baby was fine and they explained that it was because at this stage they're still behind your pelvic bone.

Understandable how you're feeling xx

Evening ladies ☺️

I’m 5 weeks today, due 24th January. BFP about 10 days ago and finally starting to let myself believe it’s real after we got our 3+ on Clearblue yesterday. Still too anxious to relax and enjoy it, but thought I’d take the leap and join here to find some company! I’m 36 and this will be our first, we’re super excited but I’m so scared of anything going wrong. Had a bit of light nausea and cramping to begin with which occasionally pops back but generally feeling completely normal which I’m finding stressful 😂

Congratulations to everyone 😊 and I hope you don’t mind me jumping on late!

mummy2b04 · 24/05/2020 19:30

@Padawan21 I know exactly how you feel! Congratulations, it still feels very surreal doesn’t it? I’m 29 and I feel the same as you I’m super excited and so is DH but you can’t help but worry!

It’s so nice to speak to people In the same position !
