@kkr168 yeah, I think I’m a front sleeper for the majority of the night; although I have been trying to dose off on my left side, I wake up uncomfortable on my front. Not sure if it’s cause I’m going to bed bloated or because there is bump in there making its way through? I might have to invest in a pregnancy pillow as feeling How my stomach Sits when I’m on my side makes me cringe. Have you used one before?

kkr168 · 23/05/2020 07:50

@PipTed no I haven't, didn't need to last time but think I'll be investing in one this time. I have an anterior placenta this time, not sure what I had last time, I wonder if that makes a difference?

EithneBlue · 23/05/2020 09:51

@kkr168 I am 14 weeks today and already finding it feels odd to lie on my front: like I am lying on a foam roller or something. Not exactly uncomfortable but definitely not comfortable either.

Eskdale2004 · 23/05/2020 10:12

I’m a tummy sleeper too, I can still sleep on my front but it feels a little bit like I’m lying on a tennis ball on my lower abdomen. I have to raise my leg up and turn slightly to to get comfortable.

Snowwhite2020 · 23/05/2020 12:31

I’m finding this too @Eskdale2004 X

roro87 · 23/05/2020 12:40

@kkr168 Its my chest that is stopping me I find it aches when I lay on my front. I haven't tried in a couple of weeks but it was my favourite sleep position

Eskdale2004 · 23/05/2020 13:06

Ouch! RL pains! That is all 😖

kkr168 · 23/05/2020 13:44

@skinnyhotchoc I gave the nub whisperer a go too, came back girl, I hope she's right

Amyyy1 · 23/05/2020 17:46

@kkr168 how much did you pay for that? I want to give it a go!!

Today is the first day in what feels like forever where I haven't felt sick..... I feel amazing I hope it lasts

skinnyhotchoc · 23/05/2020 19:05

@Amyyy1 it was £8. @kkr168 I should get harmony results next week so I'll let you know if correct

kkr168 · 23/05/2020 19:39

@Amyyy1 Great news that you are having a sickness free day, my nausea seems to have disappeared too, felt great the past couple of days apart from an occasional headache.

@skinnyhotchoc she seems to have quite a high success rate.

I'm tempted to book in for a gender scan at 16 weeks, but then I think it would only be another 4 weeks till the nhs scan, I'm such a tight arse!!

skinnyhotchoc · 23/05/2020 19:48

@kkr168 i hate giving these companies my money tbh but I had a gender scan at 16 weeks with my dd. I rationalised that I wanted them to concentrate on the baby's health at the 20 week scan. As it was at the 20 week she had her back to us cuddled up to the placenta and it was really difficult to get the measurements they needed so the sonographer only gave gender a cursory look and wasn't 100%.

peachypetite · 23/05/2020 20:12

Is it just me and Eithneblue not finding out the sex?! I’ve had terrible lower back ache today. I’m shattered, since I felt better I did a lot of sorting and organising and some washing, my husband has hurt his hand so I cooked lunch and dinner. Soooo tired now!

Snowwhite2020 · 23/05/2020 20:25

@peachypetite we’re not finding out either! We just want to keep it a surprise 💖💙

Well ladies... not sure if I’m one of the last still with sickness but I’m still throwing up and that’s me 13+ weeks. Hope it stops soon 😢 xx

skinnyhotchoc · 23/05/2020 21:22

@Snowwhite2020 that's crap. My sickness is really weird. I seem to be having a one day on, one day off type arrangement with it. Obviously better than constant!

Chelsie92 · 23/05/2020 21:31

Hi jumping on hope don’t mind, I’m due 19th November with my 3rd baby, I’m currently 14weeks 2 days ❤️ Congratulations to you all :-)

Snowwhite2020 · 23/05/2020 22:35

@skinnyhotchoc that’s good you’re getting a bit of relief. Mine has definitely changed- the constant nausea is better than it was and I’m now getting a sleep most nights after being up bad with nausea but I am now having a lot of spontaneous vomiting which is both gross and quite stressful if I’m out with the dog for his daily walk! I’ve managed not to throw up outside so far though... fingers crossed it stays that way lol. Poor husband has had a very sicky wife for well over two months now but I’m definitely brighter than I was 💖

Glad so many others are getting relief. Hope I’m not far behind you xx

Teaandbiscuits123 · 23/05/2020 22:49

@peachypetite we’re not finding out either! ❤️

EBM20 · 23/05/2020 23:32

@Snowwhite2020 14 weeks tomorrow and I feel like the sickness is getting worse! I'm sick atleast twice a day and even sips of water makes me feel sick! Braved going out Thursday after spending 2 days in bed and went to the beach for 2 hours... I had to run to the nearest bush to be sick! Luckily we were in a quiet area of the beach so only a few walked by from a distance! I think I'll stick outings sat in the garden for a while!
The doctors gave me tablets as last week I couldn't keep a sip of water down! The first tablets made me have a migraine which made my sight go blurry and I felt so dizzy I couldn't walk! Now on different ones which are to be taken at bedtime but within 10 minutes of taking it I'm violently sick! Doctors will be getting a call again Monday at this rate

Snowwhite2020 · 24/05/2020 09:13

What a shame @EBM20. I really get it. When did your sickness start out of Interest? I am on medication too. There is a really great thread called Hyperemesis Support on mumsnet which has really helped me. Maybe you should check it out- there are others out there suffering well into the second trimester and beyond and I have found it comforting to talk about all that comes with intense sickness and prolonged nausea in pregnancy. Hopefully it doesn’t last much longer for us💖 My mum was still being sick until 16 weeks with me and the whole way with my brother so hoping for the 16 week mark or even before for it to stop. It’s very hard. Love to you 💕

EBM20 · 24/05/2020 09:30

@snowwhite2020 thank you! Will have a look for the thread. My sickness started before I even took a test so very early on, at first I put it down to anxiety sickness then my period was a week late so I took a test! We had planned to tell our mums on mothers day but we ended up telling them a few days before as they was concerned with how ill I was throwing up everything I ate! I'm hoping it will stop soon for us too!💖 it feels like I've got a constant hangover, people at work who don't know yet actually comment saying had too much to drink again last night🙈 I've cut my shift in half so I do 4 hour shifts instead of 8 hour shifts as I was not coping! Sister in law is 3 weeks ahead and has had no sickness just nausea feeling in the morning, I'm jealous how she's still going on like normal and running around after her 2 year old!

Bobbieblu · 24/05/2020 10:01

@ebm20 @snowwhite2020 I’m still being sick too and getting really frustrated with it. I’ve passed the magic 12 week mark and was hoping to suddenly feel better, no luck so far, but did have a one-off ok day last week that gave me hope. I’ve felt sick since 5 and a half weeks and can count on one hand the days that I haven’t actually been sick since about 7 weeks. I really hope it passes soon for both of you (and anyone else in the same boat). Bring on the “pregnancy glow” of the 2nd trimester!

Snowwhite2020 · 24/05/2020 10:03

@Bobbieblu much sympathy. Yes let’s hope for that carefree healthy glow soon! A bit fed up of being green about the gills now lol

skinnyhotchoc · 24/05/2020 10:10

On the subject of symptoms. Does anybody have really bad pregnancy acne? After my erpc in Jan my skin went really bad but then I got pregnant again and it's gone crazy!! Huge sore cystic type spots on my cheeks, neck and back. Gp prescribed something topical which has helped a little but it's still really bad. No chance of a 'glow' here !

lockdown84 · 24/05/2020 10:10

Hi ladies. Went for my second 12 week scan Friday. This time I am 12+1 which set my due date back to 03.12.20 (from 24.11.20). Bean was being shy - anyone else’s just wanting to face plant? She found it hard to do NT screen but managed, and I’m waiting results. The thread has moved on so much (I need to check more often!) but catching up on 10pages... someone mentioned no husbands likely to be allowed in the hospital (except for actual birth period) by November? Anyone else been told this? Was hoping by 20 weeks he might be able to come to scan to see baby... but definitely going to pay for a private one so he can see if this is the case! (Don’t want to find out gender though!) hoping everyone is feeling ok today x ps gender guesses welcome (just for fun!)
